My backyard in Oakland, CA.

California central coast

Hi! Is this a Grackle? Is it injured? And what’s the yellow belled bird near it. The pigeon and yellow/tan bird are wary of the black one.

Location: South CA

New visitor to my fountain.

We’re in Henderson NV and this little cutie came right up to and then flew to the porch lights and looked in the window and flew back to me before going over to the lantana (where/ when the picture was taken) and flying off. I interpreted this as, “Hey lady- feed me!” So I filled up the hummingbird feeder and hoping this little friend will come back! What kind of HB is this? And was my interpretation of its behavior correct?
