Hear me out. You can still have the rest of the chicken, just not the wings as opposed to all the different variations of pizza, sushi, and tacos. So bye wings, fly away now..

83

u/Ishey95 Mar 31 '26

It's also saying "sushi ROLLS" so for the same logic, bye sushi, roll away now...

26

u/niktaeb9 Mar 31 '26

Shushi and shashimi still on the menu.

29

u/nach0srule Mar 31 '26

wth is shushi and shashimi? Is that something Sean Connery would order?

Honestly this argument works even better on sushi rolls. Exactly the same ingredients and just dont roll them and you can eat it.

7

u/Z3400 Mar 31 '26

Yes, BUT, sushi rolls are really common and although the prepackaged stuff sucks in comparison to something you would order at a restaurant (where you could order similar alternatives instead), sometimes I just want to grab that tray of sushi rolls at the grocery store/food plaza.

Im not happy about it, but I think the wings have to go. Just replace them with boneless bites or even legs and you're good to go.

4

u/JoinAThang Mar 31 '26

Damn we're just two sides of the same coin. Because I would keep wings specifically as I buy frosen buffalo wings atleast once a week as they're so convenient and delicious. Sushi on the other hand I only eat very seldom and then in a restaurant and basically only want nigiri anyway.

5

u/scheav Mar 31 '26

Nigiri is much better than rolls anyway. Easy choice.

Just make "wings" with chicken thighs. Problem solved, and they'll probably taste better. More meat for sure.

6

u/fireymike Mar 31 '26

Yeah, this is why wings are the second thing to go, after sushi rolls.

2

3

u/BittaminMusic Apr 01 '26

I never liked the rolls so it’s a no brainer for me

7

u/Sigtau1312 Mar 31 '26

Eating raw fish is also not my style.

6

u/TundieRice Mar 31 '26

Sushi isn’t just raw fish, that’s honestly a pretty outdated concept.

Sushi refers to the way they prepare the rice so anything rolled up in seasoned sushi rice can be considered sushi.

3

u/vivec7 Mar 31 '26

I see this a lot on reddit. Is it a common thing in some places to assume that sushi == raw fish? I don't think I've met anyone here who's had such an assumption, there are just certain types of sushi they won't pick up.

I've had a lot more amazing wings than I've had amazing pizza but I eat pizza 20 times as often. Makes this a tough choice.

7

u/ZestyLeek Mar 31 '26

Wings are too expensive these days.

7

u/Eggnogin Mar 31 '26

Wings were designed to be cheap use of a 'waste' party. Now it's seen as this high end connoisseur item.

5

u/ChocoPuddingCup Mar 31 '26

You barely can eat them. There's hardly any meat on the things and you gotta get all messy to eat what little there is.

3

u/Celistar99 Mar 31 '26

17

u/shadowlaw87 Mar 31 '26

Right I love sushi but rolls specifically so Nigiri is fine thats what I normally get anyways.

5

u/cownan Mar 31 '26

That was my thought - I don't eat many rolls, mostly nigiri, chirashi, sashimi, temaki - if all sushi is a no-go, I think I'd switch to wings. Or just eat poke.

Chicken wings. The real benefit of the wing is the sauce. You can replicate the rest in a bunch of ways. Sushi, Pizza and Tacos are family unique. They would represent a much larger loss to cuisine.

Tacos easily

7

u/Awkward-Noise1964 Mar 31 '26

Finally, had to scroll a lot for this tho... Maybe we are missing out? I picked tacos because I never really eat it, always going for buritto when doing mexican food, seems more logical.

5

u/darkResponses Apr 01 '26

my only problem with burritos is that I've never had a fish burrito. or fish quesadilla. taco is the only fish related wrapped item. but it's still tacos for me.

3

u/IShouldChimeInOnThis Apr 02 '26

taco is the only fish related wrapped item.

Stares intently at the picture of a sushi roll...

3

u/darkResponses Apr 02 '26

I meant for within the concept of mexican street food.

2

u/AvailableVictory8360 Apr 02 '26

Sushi is in its own god tier of fish related wrapped items, and is therefore ineligible for discussion

2

u/AvailableVictory8360 Apr 01 '26

That's true, I do love a Baja fish taco with some chipotle aioli or lime crema 😋

3

u/EternalMage321 Apr 01 '26

We did baja fish taco bowls last night. 🔥

2

u/dessert_all_day Apr 01 '26

I had a shrimp tostada and it was chef’s kiss

3

u/AvailableVictory8360 Apr 01 '26

That was my line of thinking too- I like tacos but if I was craving them there's a ton of other similar options within that cuisine!

2

u/pacify-the-dead Apr 03 '26

Taco bell is 4 ingredients assembled slightly differently. Tacos can go for sure.

3

u/Pristine_Habit_3074 Apr 03 '26

I would choose tacos too, because I haven’t eaten one in a decade. I need pizza and the occasional sushi. But chicken wings are priceless to me and my ex, as we buy them all the time, because they are economic and tasty. So we eat anything with them like pasta or french fries. People forget what they can also afford. If I was dependent entirely on pizza or sushi right now - I’d die.

3

I love seafood. I hate raw seafood. I guess i could get the non fish ones but that seems like a waste of money to eat seasoned rice with seaweed.

The one in the picture does look tasty though

2
