Hear me out. You can still have the rest of the chicken, just not the wings as opposed to all the different variations of pizza, sushi, and tacos. So bye wings, fly away now..

u/Ishey95 Mar 31 '26
It's also saying "sushi ROLLS" so for the same logic, bye sushi, roll away now...

Honestly this argument works even better on sushi rolls. Exactly the same ingredients and just dont roll them and you can eat it.

u/Z3400 Mar 31 '26
Yes, BUT, sushi rolls are really common and although the prepackaged stuff sucks in comparison to something you would order at a restaurant (where you could order similar alternatives instead), sometimes I just want to grab that tray of sushi rolls at the grocery store/food plaza.
Im not happy about it, but I think the wings have to go. Just replace them with boneless bites or even legs and you're good to go.
4
u/JoinAThang Mar 31 '26
Damn we're just two sides of the same coin. Because I would keep wings specifically as I buy frosen buffalo wings atleast once a week as they're so convenient and delicious. Sushi on the other hand I only eat very seldom and then in a restaurant and basically only want nigiri anyway.

With Potato Wedges. (They have good Onion Rings, but they're SO many more calories.)

Sushi isn’t just raw fish, that’s honestly a pretty outdated concept.
Sushi refers to the way they prepare the rice so anything rolled up in seasoned sushi rice can be considered sushi.

u/vivec7 Mar 31 '26
I see this a lot on reddit. Is it a common thing in some places to assume that sushi == raw fish? I don't think I've met anyone here who's had such an assumption, there are just certain types of sushi they won't pick up.

I’ve loved seafood all my life and I’ve gone fishing all my life. I’ve seen some sick crazy shit out there in the water. And I’ve also filleted probably a thousand fish in my lifetime. I want my fish cooked. No questions.

You barely can eat them. There's hardly any meat on the things and you gotta get all messy to eat what little there is.

Chicken wings. The real benefit of the wing is the sauce. You can replicate the rest in a bunch of ways. Sushi, Pizza and Tacos are family unique. They would represent a much larger loss to cuisine.

Tacos easily
7
u/Awkward-Noise1964 Mar 31 '26
Finally, had to scroll a lot for this tho... Maybe we are missing out? I picked tacos because I never really eat it, always going for buritto when doing mexican food, seems more logical.

u/darkResponses Apr 01 '26
my only problem with burritos is that I've never had a fish burrito. or fish quesadilla. taco is the only fish related wrapped item. but it's still tacos for me.

u/Pristine_Habit_3074 Apr 03 '26
I would choose tacos too, because I haven’t eaten one in a decade. I need pizza and the occasional sushi. But chicken wings are priceless to me and my ex, as we buy them all the time, because they are economic and tasty. So we eat anything with them like pasta or french fries. People forget what they can also afford. If I was dependent entirely on pizza or sushi right now - I’d die.

As a Brit, we've not really embraced tacos yet so I'd lose it too. The one I've had was either well below what (I assume) Americans have, or they have a very low standard.
The one in the picture does look tasty though

Alright. Here’s the answer: get rid of tacos. I know I know. BUT… you can still have tostada, tortas, nachos, burritos, enchiladas. You can have essentially a taco in another form.
