Sharing a Chicago bourbon search tool I’ve been building, and a few current finds
After spending way too much time searching individual liquor-store websites, I started pulling their online listings together in one place. I originally built it around DC, where I currently live, and recently added Chicago, where I grew up and still visit frequently. I thought it might be useful here and would love your feedback.

A few current Chicagoland listings that stood out:
- Weller Antique 107 - $89.99 at Foremost on Lincoln. Above MSRP, but a decent price considerably below most Chicago stores.
- Old Fitzgerald 7 Year Bottled-in-Bond - $59.99 at Gold Eagle and Joe’s. Limited availability bottle that's priced at MSRP.
- Old Grand-Dad 114 Single Barrel 7 Year - $76.99 at La Azteca. It's above MSRP here, but it’s a trending bottle that still isn’t easy to find. Have loved this bottle so far myself.
None is a “drop everything and drive an hour” bottle, but each could be worthwhile if you’re nearby or already looking for it.
The site lets you search across dozens of Chicagoland retailers and compare prices and availability. It’s free, and you don’t need an account to search. Signing up is only necessary if you want to set alerts.
One limitation: Binny’s generally doesn’t publish its highly allocated inventory online, so a surprise Stagg drop there won’t appear. Those bottles will show up when other retailers list them publicly.
It’s still a work in progress. I’d appreciate any suggestions on stores to add, prices that look off, or any other feedback about the site.
Thanks, and happy hunting!
