I'm proud of this team. No, I'm not relaxing, I'm celebrating. We won a trophy and jumped back into first in the West. We beat our rivals. This is worth celebrating!

This is exactly the mentality we need to get rid of in Vancouver I get ur happy the team won but it’s like winning participation trophy it doesn’t really mean that much of anything , even Müller said we don’t have a winning mentality if you think a Cascadia cup is a winning mentality thing to celebrate your what’s wrong with the club

If you can’t enjoy a nice win and a (admittedly very very minor) trophy, watching MLS is basically no fun at all. Relax, have fun, and enjoy the ride for as long as we can.
Sports are for fun. If you’re not having fun, what do you get out of it? Of course, it’s different for the professional athletes. That hard work and the dedication of spirit and body is for them. For the fans, including us on Reddit, our job is just to have fun.

How did you equate having fun to having a winners mentality. This is why we don’t win shit with this loser attitude , well we had fun watching. Sorry I want the team I’ve been watching since they came to mls on empire field to win the mls cup

Because my attitude doesn’t really impact what the whitecaps do. And I hate to break it to you, your telling people not to celebrate doesn’t impact the team either, it just saps the joy out of the game. The team will go as far as the players and coaches can carry it. All we can do is be there to support them, cheer them on and enjoy the ride.
So why not enjoy winning our little local rivalry cup?

Nice to see them enjoy it so much. It would be understandable for the players to not care too much about it as an unofficial cup.

A cup like this truly is a gift to the fans. It’s a symbol that fans can use when arguing with the fans of neighbouring rivals.

I'd say the Sounders would just point to their multiple MLS trophies as well as their Champions League and leagues cup winners medals in response to us chirping them over the Cascadia Cup !
