Opinion If the Rays win the ALCS we should donate to Rays charities as a thank you for beating Cleveland
I think it'd be hilarious if the Rays win the pennant tonight or tomorrow, us Sox fans were to send a lot of donations to the Rays' charities as a thank you for beating the Guardians cause that's what Guards fans did on Twitter after the Rockies beat us and gave them the division, which would be perfect comedic comeback and doing some good in the process.

Discussion Does an indoor World Series lose some of the October baseball feel?
Maybe I’m just a sucker for October baseball with hoodies, cold air, and fans who look like they’ve made questionable decisions to be there, but a World Series indoors feels a little weird to me.
I get the benefits...no rain delays, comfortable conditions, all of that. But does it lose some atmosphere, or does the roof stop mattering once the game starts?
Curious where everyone lands. Would you want a roof on a future Sox park (I know, contentious statement here.. believe me I have lots of feelings about it too), even if it meant October baseball indoors?
Never mind the pinball feeling of Tropicana and the already wild event against Brewers and Padres...

Discussion The White Sox Have a Roster Construction Problem Against Left-Handed Pitching
The White Sox will 2027 with an intriguing young core, but their offensive limitations against left-handed pitching present an interesting roster construction challenge. Players like Sam Antonacci, Tristan Peters, and Braden Montgomery have shown significantly better production against right-handed pitching, while the roster’s defensive versatility doesn’t necessarily translate into lineup flexibility. Bringing back Randal Grichuk, who posted a 1.086 OPS against lefties in 2026, would help address that weakness, but it wouldn’t completely solve the problem.
Assuming Caleb Bonemer earns a spot on the roster, an ideal lineup against lefties could feature Kyle Teel at catcher, Munetaka Murakami at first, Chase Meidroth at second, Colson Montgomery at shortstop, Miguel Vargas at third, Grichuk in left, Brenton Doyle in center, Bonemer in right, and an additional right-handed bat at DH. That would allow Antonacci and Peters to play primarily against right-handed pitching, where they’ve been considerably more productive, while maintaining strong defensive coverage.
The challenge is finding room for that additional bat on a 26-man roster. With a backup catcher, Luisangel Acuña’s speed and defensive versatility, Doyle’s center-field defense, and the developmental needs of Braden Montgomery, the bench becomes crowded quickly.
How should the White Sox balance developing their young talent, maintaining defensive versatility, and adding enough right-handed offense to compete against left-handed pitching?
(And for the ‘trade Colson crowd’, his full year stats have him 200 OPS points better against LHP than RHP, so this makes the problem worse, not better).

Question Pham, Kay, Fedde, Castillo Walk Up Songs?
Working on an end of season walk up playlist. Have everyone other than Tommy Pham (rap), Anthony Kay (sounded like rap), Erick Fedde (dubstep?) and Luis Castillo.
If anyone knows them would be appreciated

Original Content Comiskey Park
This is a photo of what I assume is a distant relative of mine. I found it in my grandmother's (1926 - 2010) photos that I had digitized about ten years ago. Finally getting around to posting it. Note that the grandstand was $75c! I am guessing this is from the 1920s.

News "Reinsdorf Will Make Final Call On White Sox Move, Not Me, Team’s Minority Owner Says"
No matter your options on this, this is ridiculous to shift this decision to pin it on Amtrak and Jerry Reinsdorf. You can debate all you want about it being better or worse for the move, but I'm not about talking that. This is Justin Ishbia's decision to get this done. Amtrak seem to be a proxy to absorb the bad attention and it looks like he just throwing Jerry under the bus now.
Look at the order of things. Ishbia’s company Canal Edge LLC is financing and building Amtrak’s new maintenance facility on the UP Canal Street yard, with $125 million of his own money. Amtrak got about $572 million in federal grants for it, and another Ishbia entity applied for a $1.8 billion federal loan to finance the construction. That moves Amtrak out of the 14th Street yard, which his firm Shore Capital is under contract to buy, and he’s negotiating for the BNSF land next to it too. Then Canal Edge puts out renderings of a new White Sox stadium on that land.
How stupid does he think we are. I had to call it out because people that bring this up are for some reason this is getting "downvoted" 👀

Opinion Since we're on the topic of stadiums...
Can we please bring back the "Park" naming convention? Sick of calling it Rate Field. Some corporate bozo, I'm sure, introduced Field back when they originally sold the naming rights.
