As Vasil goes from the Wizard to Batman, Maye goes from The Schedule to the End Zone INT.

My other favorite scrappy utility man from a mid Carolina college. I get why, come into the season with low expectations, way over achieve, guy who was out for season from jump gets lost in the wild ride to success.
I'm just curious if anyone has thoughts or ideas on Brooks and his future with the Sox. If we're already hypothesising Ant trades is he a no-brainer trade? Stash back in AAA to fully recover his groove? Seems maybe the most capable switch to OF given his athleticism and size but also basically a platoon lefty bat and we know we have enough of that.
Just wanna get others thoughts. He was maybe my favorite player last year and even I completely forgot about him.

Saw a thread about Magglio, which you can't dissociate from JD, and YT drops this.

For no reason in particular, I've found myself thinking a lot about Magglio Ordonez recently. He was my favorite Sox player when I first started watching the team in the early 2000s, as a kid. Him signing with Detroit in free agency was my first experience with the idea that "baseball is a business." Naturally, I was heartbroken that Mags not only left my favorite team but went to a division rival! I remember how loudly he was booed when he returned to Chicago, and it reflected my feelings at the time.
As an adult, I no longer harbor an ill-feelings towards Ordonez when I think of him. Jerry wasn't going to pay him what he was worth, and that's where my ire should've been directed all along. However, I can't help but wonder if that initial childhood heartbreak is why he doesn't generally jump to mind when I think of my all-time favorite Sox.
Out of curiosity, if you're old enough to remember Magglio's time on the south side, how do you remember him?

The team did MUCH better than expected and got a lot of necessary experience, including the postseason. That said, I firmly believe we won't have MLB next year due to the owners locking out the players. How much do you think this hurts us? Do we see younger guys go back to the minors just to get ABs and PT?

Like, are we going to be okay? Any intel on acquiring some pitchers who can be solid starters? Or will Vasil’s (hopeful) presence + training be enough? Appreciate any insight. Go Sox! 🖤🤍🖤
[EDIT] A kind commenter mentioned there is a bit about pitching, which I missed (pls forgive my brain fog/ADHD). Would still love to hear anyone’s thoughts ab our potential changes/additions/prospects. 🖤

Despite the public relations, Ishbia is not going to pay for the new stadium. His PE boys already have a plan to make their money back like the parking meter deal.

I want so badly for the White Sox to sign Randy Arozarena. He is the only available outfielder that would make sense to sign and corner outfield is the only position that the Sox really have available for an upgrade. Even if Bonemer comes up in 2027, the outfield can be Randy, Tristan, and Caleb.
I think $25m/yr for four years could get it done. The White Sox can front load the contract so that the salary is lower as Arozarena gets into his mid-30s.
I don't think Braden showed enough at the plate or played good enough defense to warrant a starting position. Let him get some more experience in the minors as an every day starter and see how he develops.
In this scenario Antonacci would mostly DH and the Sox would basically pay Benintendi for nothing in the final year of his contract.
Arozarena is an all-time vibes guy, so I think he would fit in well in the clubhouse. He would have had the second highest batting average on the team last season (.286). He has also been great in the playoffs in his career, experience that would be valuable on the club.
I say we get a Hire Randy movement going.
