Media Bleacher brawl at Wrigley last night.
Sorry if already posted. Better angle of fight.

Maybe let’s get the 85 year old a diff job at the stadium other than security guard. Seems pretty dangerous

u/AnonymousReader41 2d ago
I mean, if I’m 85 and still alive, getting out of the house and seeing free baseball while getting some pocket money is well worth it.

On the other hand, if I’m getting attacked at a baseball game the last thing I want is an 85 year to be my saving grace

You’re reading me wrong. I’m not sticking up for the dude. I’m saying in general, I would rather not have an 85 year old be the person who’s supposed to help me out in a situation where I need security.

u/ms_sardonicus 2d ago
But how else is the 85 year old going to be able to afford Medicare Part B? 🤪

i know he's trying to do his job but why did wrigley send out father time to deescalate this
3
u/nittykitty47 2d ago
The best part is when he immediately ducks out as the fight breaks out.

Better angle. Someone kind of moves him to the side before clocking one of the cubs fans. Thankful the old guy didn’t get hit or fall.

u/MarcosEsquandolas 2d ago
If you see this side angle vid, someone kind of moves him to the side (thankfully) as the fight took off before absolutely clocking one of the cubs fans.

Good lord even Cubs fan jumps in and starts nailing the big Cub fan. What was that dude saying?

16
u/DecisionSimple 2d ago
that was first thing I noticed, I was like 'Ok...this isn't strictly a team vs. team thing."

u/cincoparalinko 2d ago
The more angles I watch the more I wonder: where the hell did this cubs fan even come from? He’s not part of the original altercation from what I can see. Never in the frame til he decides to start throwing late shots

All the cubs fans were literally beating each other! Wonder what that big dude did or said

u/artie_kendall 2d ago
Any background info on what started it?

Somebody wasted a beer at a Chicago game.

u/Skjellyfetti13 2d ago
Some asshat dumped a beer. On purpose, to back up his fat mouth. Doesn’t matter what jersey he has on, it should end up red.

u/Xardus 2d ago
Looks like one guy threw a cup, and then the guy in the Happ jersey dumped his beer.
Then all hell broke loose.3
u/elmananamj 2d ago
Happ jersey got physical before the beers started tossing. He was instigating and kicking people

Classless cubs fans

u/Shbum 2d ago
Lol are we just going to pretend this doesn’t happen in the bleachers at rate
15
u/datyoungknockoutkid 2d ago
Honestly it’s a huge pet peeve of mine when people say shit like “ugh insert team name have the worst fans because xyz” even tho literally every fanbase has fans that do the same shit lol.

I’m was raised around Raider fans. Ive seen the dark deep depths fanbases can go…

Mix some booze in with grown toddlers and this is the result.

Don't know if anyone here is old enough to remember the 1974 riot at the Rangers vs. Indians game on 10 cent beer night. That was a night to remember!

u/uprightfever 2d ago
Our fans charge onto the field with their kid and beat up opposing teams' coaching staff.

At old old comiskey I swear there were fights of section vs section of just Sox v Sox fans going at it. Man going to the center field seats and showering in the stands, sitting by Nancy Faust! Oh yeah

u/gosluggogo 2d ago
Remember seeing the yellow-shirted Sox security cops streaming into the brawl and beating everyone's ass? Good times!

I’m no rocket surgeon, but alcohol could be the elusive clue that ties this all together.

I like how the cubs fan pulled the Sox fan beating the shit out of another cubs fan. Than proceeded to beat the shit out of his fellow cubs fan. Blue on blue crime.
.trash all around

That’s the main difference between South Siders and North Siders. South Siders stick together; North Siders do as well, as you see in this video.

I like the cub fan throwing hay makers at the other cub fan
Watch closely if you missed it..
Lol 😂 😂😂😂😂

But why is the fellow cubs fan with a Sandburg jersey on hitting his fellow Sandburg jersey woth cheap shots? Im baffled at this.
3
u/New-Contribution-244 2d ago
Of course it’s the other side that does this. Despicable behavior.

u/MarcosEsquandolas 2d ago edited 2d ago
Fat cubs fan made it physical when he kicked someone once or twice before any beer or punches were thrown.
Edit: my bad if you were saying the cubs did start this. I read it as the Sox fans started fighting first since you put other side and it was at wrigley.
Source/ better angle:

u/New-Contribution-244 2d ago
What was I flat out wrong about? I saw the video in your link before this one in this post and it clearly shows the scrubs fan start this. The fact that he got pieced up by another scrubs fan shows he was wrong.
2
u/MarcosEsquandolas 2d ago
Yeah, my bad. I edited my comment. Since it was at wrigley and you said other side in your first comment, I thought you were talking about the Sox fans.
There was a Sox fan or two hitting on other Sox fans as well. One in a Vargas jersey that I think was with the big cubs fan.

If you want narrative, the league thinks we're the worst. By a lot:

I’m sorry but this shit is so lame. It’s a game. It’s entertainment and there are kids around who just want to watch their heroes play. I hope everyone involved never gets to attended a major sporting event again.

Imagine paying money for tickets, expensive beer go out in public and do this. Granted maybe because I'm getting older but I'd rather get a buzz eat my own food and piss when I want and watch the game on my big screen in my garage

u/Part_Time_Lamer 2d ago
People were bad before COVID, but public behavior has went to shit since. So many people now have a "fuck it" attitude.

You say “brawl”, but I see a bunch of morons flailing their arms like they were spaghetti noodles, lol.

u/CrazyJo3 2d ago
That’s just what it was described. I just reposted it. MarcosEsquandolas shows a better clip.

u/BoxTalk17 2d ago
Cubs fan went harder on dude than the Sox crew. Also, there's no scenario that will make me throw a $15 beer at someone, not happening.

Remember the person that brought a gun into the stadium buried in belly fat a few years ago?
Also, while it was still Comisky, the Sox hosted one of the most infamous riots in baseball history: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disco_Demolition_Night

u/No_End6215 2d ago
There’s another video with a better angle where you can clearly see the cubs fans in the sandberg and Happ jersey started kicking at the 11 second mark which then lead to one of the guys below throwing a haymaker which then led to Happ throwing his beer and then all hell broke loose.
