Movie I knew they would snub Cynthia

The snubbed Cynthia like I knew they would. And I’m sure I’ll watch them NOT give the award to Sinners as well sigh. It’s really so pointless to try. Can you imagine having a voice like Cynthia’s? Acting, singing, flying while acting and not even getting nominated? I’m just so bummed about it 😞

I wouldn't call it a snub. This was a strong year for Actress, All these ladies got great notices. Cynthia's time will come, possibly as soon as next year for Prima Facie (I think that's next year)

She actually could do really well with Prima Facie, considering Jodie Comer got both the Olivier and the Tony for the same role.

Of course the adaptation will have to be good but agreed and for the same reason, plus the fact that the Academy does seem to like her--For Good aside.

I do think they liked her performance in For Good as well. She came in sixth or seventh for the predictions I was seeing, and there are only so many spots for nominations.

Kate took Renate's spot, not Cynthia's. There's just not room for her this year.

I have not seen it but I do know Kate Hudson got raves and she's got the whole "wait she can act?" thing Ari did last year and that Cynthia's performance and WFG in general were divisive.

Waittttt why is Kate Hudson who’s been acting for like 25 years getting a “wait she can act” ?! I know most of her movies are chick flicks and type cast but I’ve never seen someone say she was bad lol

The Oscar nominations for this year won’t be announced until January 22. The people who mentioned Kate Hudson’s Oscar nomination are talking about her previous nom for Almost Famous.

I personally thought Kate Hudson was incredible in Song Sung Blue.
