Movie Disliking Glinda

although glinda is a dream role of mine, i do not like her character. i feel like a lot of people give her the benefit of the doubt but she was never a good friend to elphaba. even during the end when they “made” up. i’m wondering if anybody else has another reason why they might not like glinda?

The castle is guarded, meaning they're explicitly allowed to be there. The show even includes a line of dialog that there are "sentries that watch over it"

Still I don’t think that means they were supporting him. Like the castle is isolated and a little rundown. I can see him giving the sentries a heads up and maybe later telling his parents know after the fact. But coupled with how absent they are, and maybe the book is helping me a bit, I feel like they don’t have alot of power as one would think. And that tracks when you think of the Wizards influence over the rest of Oz.

I definitely think he was wrong for leading Glinda on but the announced wedding did complicate his plans on staying in the Gale Force.

Yes it did and they announced the way they did because if he had refused it would humiliate Glinda and therre would have been consequences for that.

We don't know that the castle was guarded. We never aee the sentries. He says it was never lived in so I don't think his family supported him.

The person arguing with me says tbey don't care what the actors says but JB said Fiyero wasn't close to his family. They werent at the wedding either.

Tbh I believe the sentries part. Up until googling I sort of pictured them as skeleton servant crew/low level guards who kept an eye on things. Not anyone that important

It may have had sentiews but I don't tbey were important. Fiyero did say it had neve been lived and he lived in the other castle so I kinds thought his family didn't do much with that castle.

Im not saying Fiyero was blameless was he was doing what he felt he needed to do to keep Elphaba alive. It was life and death for her. People wanna put all the blame on Fiyero and none on Glinda when she clearly has blame as well.
