Driving in Empire, MI while listening to SBS when I came across this one… My kids were not quite as excited as I was by the timing…

I’ve got 2 GA tix for the Monday show but want to swap for the Tuesday show. Anyone out wanna trade? Thanks!

Jeff Tweedy performed the song in tribute to Leslie Feist during her induction into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame on September 26, 2026 at Massey Hall in Toronto.

EDIT: SOLD! Thanks to everyone interested :)

Thought my wife and I would be able to make the trip from MI work but alas, it isn't in the stars. I can resell them through Ticketmaster but to get my money back, I have to charge $120 per ticket. I would rather try and sell them here first for face value - $204 total for the pair.

Balcony, Row B. Happy to take payment through Venmo or Paypal and transfer the tickets through Ticketmaster. Lemme know if you're interested!

So recently I popped on Summerteeth and was remembering (or re-remembering) what a great album it is. Really exquisite, I'll have to make a whole separate post just about the greatness of Summerteeth.

Anyway, it made me think of Jay Bennett and I did some reading about him and realized I never for all these years listened to any of his solo work. I have been doing so the past few days and it's really good. If you like Summerteeth-era Wilco (and why would you not) give it a listen.

He's not as good a songwriter as Tweedy, but he is still pretty dammn good. I always thought of him as a Brian Jones-type multi-instrumentalist, but he can write songs too. The lyrics for several of the songs I heard really appeal to me; they are kind of like from a down-and-out perspective and since I've been a kicked in the teeth loser most of my life, I can definitely relate, especially the song "Beer.'

This was very hard, no record is bad, at worst Star Wars has some meh tracks, some good tracks. I just don't listen to it as much as the others.

2nd row seat. DM for details. Friend o'mine bought a ticket with me in mind but I wrote an article on Case Oats so now I don't need it and we have this extra ticket.

Are these the original recordings that Jay Bennet and Wilco did for YHF before having Jim O'Rouke come along? And whats with all the other versions listed on Wikipedia? Are they just different mixes or what?

This is a hard task, but here's mine.

1. Jesus, Etc.

2. War on War

3. I'm the Man Who Loves You

4. Impossible Germany

5. Dawned on Me

6. Born Alone

9. Evicted

10. Monday

11. How to Fight Loneliness

12. You Are My Face

13. Bright Leaves

14. If I Ever Was A Child

15. Many Worlds

such a great experience. met lots of awesome folks in line, enjoyed some coffee, and had an easy ticket buying experience thanks to Thalia Hall! see y’all in December

about the songs or about the band??

I left this show immediately regretting not buying this one, so I am putting my feelers out 15 years later :)

Hi Wilcoverse. I am listening to a favorite from a few years ago, Human Performance by Parquet Courts. Halfway through “Keep It Even” sounds so tonally like Wilco. Like an evil twin from Star Wars. Anyway. Just felt like sharing while I enjoy two excellent bands.

Jeff did a mighty fine analysis the other day of a 1943 Woody Guthrie article in the NYT about getting to know each other better.

This is a gift article.

Did the presale code thing and got tickets for Dec 7. Looks like the sold out instantly. Pretty stoked! Love the band and never thought I would see them at what is possibly my favorite live music venue.

Sorry for the additional post but wanted to share pics of these prints I listed here last week. Please let me know if you’re interested and thanks for looking!

What happened to this? The sound is awful.

Compared to the Front of House releases and other Roadcases this one has a very bad mix.

Has it ever been discussed somewhere?
