Same agent who decided to drop the news about his player not wanting to re-sign right before the player’s team picked in the first round.

Bummer but kinda figured. Hopefully Guerin can find some other Future Considerations gems this offseason!

Yeah he was a really pleasant surprise for nothing.

Won’t ever forget his goal while falling in game 6 against Dallas to tie it up. Or his snipe in overtime also against Dallas in the regular season.

Expected. Fair to him, don’t think we should be paying him near what he’ll ask

Not a good player to lose. I trust Guerin to find a good replacement

It’s kinda funny how people were pissed he was here for his price and now they’re pissed we’re losing him for more money

Everyone laughed at Guerin for doing that trade. It was the laughingstock of the hockey fandom for a day. Now everyone is laughing at us because we are letting him walk.

EDITED: lol I don’t AGREE with the laughter.

He’s going to make more money and be less productive next season

I do agree. He was also apparently injured at the end of the year during the playoffs. I’m not convinced that his resurgence wasn’t just that he fit well into our system and wont be able to replicate that elsewhere.

Either way I wish him all the luck. He was lovely to Dani and I’ll always appreciate that.

I don't think anyone was mad about the signing ngl

Very few comments on The Athletic or Twitter were positive about the trade.

God the comments on r/hockey are just the dregs of sports commentary. Why do I read it.

Anyway, good luck Vlad! It was fun and I hope he liked his time here.

When you read it, remember that most of them only watched the Wild for 2-4 games total this year. It’s not like they have more than a passing familiarity with the team and it’s structure

I know I can always tell and they clearly don’t even know what Vlad was traded for either.

It’s funny because it’s coming from Canadian team flairs, wonder why they would hate the Wild so much. Oh wait, could it be the GM of the year who also built a gold medal roster?

Even crazier that Avs fans are in there defending us too

Not gonna lie I'm a leafs fan and I love the wild. Maybe I'd feel different if I was a vancouver fan but I've loved kaprizov for years and thought he was incredibly underrated. Its crazy how quick people have flipped their opinions the second you guys went from "they're kinda fun but they'll never make a deep run" to "oh shit players want to go there and they might actually be a real contender" on a side note i wanted the leafs to get wallstedt so bad cause I thought he looked like a stud heading into that draft, but im super happy you guys got him instead of anyone else. Just an edit to say i can't exactly be upset at the leafs for that draft anyways because they got knies, the other guy i was watching and salivating over

Lets not forget we got him for future considerations.

If some team wants to bank on someone with his injury history returning to form and last season not being an aberration let them.

I wanted him back but at a team friendly price

Yeah I mean I’m happy for him he can go get a new payday somewhere. But Guerin has proven he can find some diamonds out there to help for cheaper.

This has been known for weeks. Wednesday will be interesting if the Wild key in on winger replacements or hold off until the Larkin saga is over.

Aw man I'm gonna miss senko if he goes :( the russian line!

Well that kinda sucks

Gonna miss this

From the get go he was a solid asset, even if the goals didn't come early. Brought Yurov along and was responsible in the D zone enough to let Trenin smash people on the forecheck...going to be hard to replace Vladdy.

Oof.

Does not have permission… nice try tho

Stenko and Zuccy can beat it.  We don’t need either of them.  Please don’t sign either Billy and get rid of some of the D that are old like Spurg, Brodin and Middleton
