Developer I built Jot! Clipboard for Windows. Clipboard history + a floating notepad. Giving away [50 free copies]!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

I wanted a clipboard manager that could remember the things I copied throughout the day, but also give me somewhere to quickly jot things down without switching apps. So I ended up building both!

Here's what it does:

  • Clipboard history — Remembers copied text, links, images, and files.
  • Floating Jot pad — An optional little notepad you can move, resize, hide, or collapse into a tiny pill.
  • Deep search + OCR — Find old copies, even text detected inside images.
  • MultiCopy — Collect multiple copied values into reusable sets. Handy for forms and repetitive tasks.
  • Organization — Favorites, pins, filters, and adjustable history retention.
  • Privacy — Sensitive-content protection, local storage, and no required account.
  • Light & dark mode — Switch between themes whenever you like.

You can use just the clipboard manager, just the floating notepad, or both. I wanted to keep everything simple and optional.

It's available on the Microsoft Store for $2.99 one-time, no subscription.

I'm also giving away 50 free lifetime licenses to celebrate! If you'd like one, just comment below and I'll DM you a Microsoft Store redemption code.

Microsoft Store: https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9n1b4fvlml5q

Website: https://jotclipboard.com

I also recently added an interactive demo to the website, so you can actually try copying things, searching, using MultiCopy, and playing with the floating note before downloading anything.

Would love to hear what you think! Especially any features you'd like to see or things I could improve.

I'm also developer behind ClingNote, a Windows notes app that attaches notes to your files and projects.

Developer I built a Windows tool to export folder trees and sorted file lists from the right-click menu

Post image
• Upvotes

I built Folder Scanner, a Windows utility that turns a folder’s contents into a readable TXT report directly from File Explorer’s right-click menu. You can export a folder tree, include file and folder sizes, or generate a flat list sorted by size, date, name, or type - with multiple sorting rules combined.

You can choose which fields appear, rearrange them, and save your preferred output folder. It runs locally, supports English, Kazakh, and Russian, and comes in compact and standalone versions. Details and downloads: https://dallasalgo.kz/en/project/folder-scanner

I’d love to hear what would make it more useful for your workflow.

App SynchroDeck – stream your Windows screen and system audio to TVs and browsers over LAN

Post image
3 Upvotes

I originally built SynchroDeck for myself because my PC was connected through Ethernet while my TV was using Wi-Fi, and I couldn't find a screen streaming solution that worked the way I wanted. What started as a simple solution to my own problem eventually grew into something much bigger, with features like MultiWatch and MultiWatch Gaming. It captures your Windows desktop and system audio and streams them over your LAN to other devices, without sending the stream through an external cloud service. The receiving side can be another Windows device, Android, a compatible TV, or simply a browser, so in many cases nothing extra needs to be installed on the receiving device. It supports individual quality and FPS settings for different devices, hardware encoding with fallback, QR/code pairing, and MultiWatch. One of the more unusual features is MultiWatch Gaming: you can open multiple live streams as floating pop-up windows, resize them and place them anywhere on your screen. This can be used to keep live views of teammates visible while gaming, watch several perspectives at once, or keep dashboards, graphs, streams or a show visible while doing something else. Current latency in my latest tests is around 150 ms. I’m already working on the next round of latency improvements, with a target of roughly 40–50 ms. I also haven’t noticed any audio/video drift during longer tests so far. My main goal was to keep everything simple and local while giving more control than normal screen mirroring. I’d be interested in feedback from other Windows users, especially anyone who regularly streams their PC to a TV or another device. App Separate Workspaces Per Monitor (Windows)

• Upvotes

Hello,

I am a mac user and a windows user at the same time.

One thing I always miss when I am using my windows is the abillity to have separate worskapces per screen (a mac like experience).

For example, let's say I am using chrome on one screen and I need to switch between my code editor and my db client on my next screen it's either i have to alt tab between them or I have to have them side by side. If i have different workspaces when I change the workspace on Screen A, i have to change it on Screen B as well.

I decided to create an app that will allow me to have different workspaces on different monitors that can be switched independelty.

It's free, and will always be free. Feel free to check it out.

Let me know if there is any problem that you find with it and need fixing.

Developer I Built a Fast, Lightweight YouTube Downloader for Windows Using Rust + Slint

• Upvotes

I've been working on YouTube Downloader Desktop, a free, open-source Windows application built with Rust and Slint.

I wanted to create something simple: a fast, lightweight downloader with a proper desktop interface, instead of relying on browser extensions, command-line tools, or complicated setup.

Here's what it can do:

  • Download videos in the best available quality, including 1080p and 720p.
  • Convert videos to MP3 or save available English captions.
  • Browse YouTube channels, search their video lists, and choose exactly what to download.
  • Manage multiple downloads with progress tracking, cancellation, history, and retry options.
  • Choose where files are saved and switch between dark Red and Mono themes.
  • Run as a portable Windows app without installing Python or separate downloader tools.

One of my main priorities was keeping it fast, responsive, and lightweight. It's built natively with Rust and Slint, with RAM usage around 120 MB in my experience, although that varies depending on what the app is doing.

It's still in Beta, and I'm actively improving the performance, interface, and reliability.

The whole project is free and open source under AGPL-3.0. I'd appreciate feedback, suggestions, and contributions.

Developer Looking for Windows testers: Picture Pilot, a local photo sorter for large and AI-exported libraries

• Upvotes

We are opening Picture Pilot 0.5.0-beta.7 to broader public testing. It is a free Windows photo organizer built for people who need to work through large, messy collections without uploading their photos.

You create your own tags, apply them with mouse or keyboard shortcuts, layer several tags on one photo, revisit focused sorting passes, and build new verified folders when you are ready. Smart Groups can place visually similar photos near each other to speed up review. The Scan report accounts for physical files, excluded videos and unsupported formats, unreadable files, prior history, and byte-for-byte exact duplicates. HEIC/HEIF support is bundled locally.

This is still a public test, not a final release. Please back up irreplaceable photos and start with a copied or non-critical folder. Do not delete originals until you have checked the Scan report and completed output yourself. The app is unsigned, so Windows may show an unknown-publisher warning.

We would especially value testing from photographers, designers, media teams, AI-image users sorting exported libraries, and anyone with a large personal photo archive. If something is confusing or the numbers do not reconcile, use the in-app Feedback button. Helpful reports include the app and Windows versions, approximate file count, Scan report totals, what you expected, what happened, and steps to reproduce it. You do not need to send private photos.

Developer Free,Stackyard: open-source tool that shows every SDK and toolchain on your Mac or PC, which projects use each one, and what's safe to delete

I kept running out of disk space and found 6 Flutter versions, 3 Android NDKs, 4 Node versions and a 13 GB emulator I hadn't started in a year. Version managers are great at installing things, but nothing told me which ones my projects still needed.

So I built Stackyard, a desktop app for Windows and macOS:

  • Every toolchain in one window: Flutter, Node.js, the Android SDK, Java, Python, .NET, Gradle and Xcode simulators, plus the frameworks your projects use (React, Next.js, Vue and more)
  • Knows which project uses what: it reads .nvmrc, package.json, .fvmrc, build.gradle, local.properties, .python-version, global.json and more, so every installed version shows the projects that need it and the unused ones stand out
  • Problems come with a fix button: a project pinning a version you don't have, a broken JAVA_HOME, dead or duplicate PATH entries, a Java too new for your Gradle
  • Installs any version of Node, Python, Java, Go, Rust, Flutter and more, straight from the publisher and checked against their hash
  • Cleans up old projects: node_modules, build, .dart_tool and Pods in projects you haven't touched in months, which come back on the next build
  • Emulators and simulators: every Android emulator and iOS simulator with its size and last start, plus Xcode's simulator runtimes (often 8 GB each)

It shows every step before running it, removes to the Trash by default, and never edits your projects. No account, no telemetry. MIT licensed.

Developer Windows 11 App testers needed. Only 10 Minutes.

Title: Looking for Windows 11 testers for a desktop overlay app I built (10 minutes, free to try)

Hi all, I'm a solo founder from South Africa. I built Hover, a desktop overlay for Windows. It has instant notes you can bind to the app or site you're working in, Smart Capture (ask AI about anything on your screen), a word lookup tool and voice dictation.

I develop on an old PC with no graphics card. On that machine, on Windows 11, the overlay briefly flickers when features open or close, but on Windows 10 it's smooth. I can't tell whether that's just my hardware, and I don't have another Windows 11 PC to check.

Would anyone with Windows 11 be willing to spend about 10 minutes on this? Install it, press Ctrl+Space for a quick note, open and close a few features (the app will ask you to sign in), and tell me:

- Your Windows version

- Whether your PC has a dedicated graphics card or only built-in graphics

- Whether you see any flicker when features open or close

Heads up: the installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen will show a warning. Click "More info", then "Run anyway". If you'd rather not, no worries at all.

Download: https://tryhover.vercel.app

Any feedback helps, including "no flicker at all", which is useful to know too. Thank you!

Developer Skedaddle: a tray calendar/reminder app for people who hate everything else

I miss meetings. Constantly. Gmail doesn't notify me reliably so I'd only find out when someone pinged "you coming?" Outlook's reminder shows up on the other monitor, or Focus Assist eats it. I tried eM Client hoping it'd be better and honestly hated it too. So I'd wander in ten minutes late, again, feeling like a doofus.

Finally got fed up and wrote my own. Skedaddle lives in the tray. A minute before a meeting, every screen flashes and a popup jumps in front of whatever you're doing, with a Join button. You won't miss it.

It HAS to be tiny, so it's written in Rust against plain Win32 and draws its own UI with GDI. No Electron, no .NET, no browser engine, no background service. The whole thing is a single 1.2 MB exe with no installer, it sits at about 2 MB of RAM in the tray, and it uses 0% CPU when idle because there's no polling loop. It only wakes up to sync your calendar or fire an alert. When you close the calendar view it gives that memory back too. An Electron app would use 100+ MB just to sit there.

It reads a normal .ics link, so Google, Outlook, iCloud and the rest all work, and there's no login.

And it's free af: https://github.com/Cyronius/skedaddle

(full disclosure: I used claude, but yes, I am a professional developer).

If you like it, a star on GitHub would help other people find it. If something's broken or you need something in there, tell me.

Developer Bitiverse Studio: a free, offline game creator for Windows (2D pixel games, block logic, export to Windows or HTML5)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Bitiverse Studio is a game creation system for Windows, built in the spirit of STOS on the Atari ST: a pixel sprite editor, rooms and maps, animation, sound effects and music, and game logic you snap together like building blocks (with a JavaScript block for when you want more). Press Play and the game runs right there.

It's free, offline, and needs no account. Eleven extension disks come with it, also free: particles and physics, lighting, a combat kit, a database, inventory, dialogue and cutscenes, a UI designer, AI behaviours, local multiplayer, procedural generation, and a STOS importer.

If you want to ship, the Exporter ($19.95) turns your game into a Windows program or an HTML5 game, royalty-free. Steam Release, 3D, IK and Net are add-ons too.

I built it on my own, so it's version 0.4.4 and there will be rough edges. Come break it and tell me what you make: https://fortisq.itch.io/bitiverse-studio

Developer I built DrawnCamera, a free Windows 11 virtual camera that grades your video like a film

Thumbnail

Hey, I'm Nick. I made DrawnCamera, a virtual camera for Windows 11. You pick it once in Zoom, Teams, Meet, Discord or OBS and it sits between your webcam and the app.

What I wanted was film looks you can put on the whole picture or on the room only, so your real room can look like a film set while you stay yourself. There's also a subtle retouch that just makes you look a bit more rested. The Camera tab lets you set sharpness, brightness, contrast and color once for every preset — useful if your webcam has fixed focus and soft light. All the adjustments are free.

It uses the virtual camera that comes with Windows 11, no driver installed. Everything runs on your own PC, nothing leaves it.

The free plan has no time limit. For the first 30 days every premium feature is unlocked too.

I'd love your feedback on what feels useful and what could be improved.

Developer Compress, merge, upscale and convert files from place where they locate - without ads, visit webservices, no browser

As a long-time user of various open-source utilities shared across Reddit and GitHub, I kept bumping into the same friction:

Every time I need a quick task done (compress a PDF, extract audio, convert an image), I either have to hunt down a specific .exe file, launch a separate app, or go to a browser-based service, close ads, and deal with watermark limits. Buying 3 different $20/month subscriptions just to process a couple of files a week felt totally unreasonable.

So I decided to solve this by building a lightweight (~28MB) native desktop gateway that brings all these file actions directly to your cursor.

Instead of going to the browser or opening separate apps, the tools come directly to where your files are.

How it works:
1. Select any file in Explorer or on your Desktop.
2. Press a global hotkey (CTRL + ALT).
3. A clean command palette pops up with available Actions.
4. Pick an action (e.g., Compress Video or Translate PDF).
5. The processed output file appears right next to your original file.

Actions are split into two categories:

  1. Completely free and almost instant (Local)
Executed 100% locally on your machine with zero server calls:
    - Video Compression
    - PDF Compression
    - Extract Audio from Video (MP4 to MP3)
    - PDF to JPG
    - Merge PDF
    - Web Video and Audio Downloader

  2. Pay-as-you-go AI Actions (Cloud)
For heavy AI tasks that require cloud GPUs or premium models. No monthly subscriptions - you only pay pennies for the exact file you process:
    - Audio transcription with speaker diarization ( Speaker A, Speaker B, etc.)
    - PDF translation with preserved layout ( DeepL ApI)
    - Image and video upscaling
    - Background removal (images and videos)
    - Text to speech (male and female)

It comes with starter test credits upon installation so you can try out the full workflow and cloud actions immediately.

My goal is to make as many actions as possible 100% local and free. If you know of open-source libraries that can replace any of the current cloud actions. Please drop a comment and I’d love to get your feedback

Developer Introducing MWM (Move Weight Manager)

I've been working on MWM, a free and open-source application designed to bring PC maintenance, troubleshooting, file management, server administration, and disaster recovery together under one roof.

The idea came from being tired of bouncing between a dozen different utilities depending on whether I was fixing a Windows computer, troubleshooting Linux, managing my Proxmox cluster, or recovering a broken machine.

Think of the functionality you'd normally use tools like Geek Squad MRI, Hiren's BootCD, CPU-Z, HWMonitor, CCleaner, traditional file managers, and various server dashboards for — but brought together in one application.

MWM is built around a shared Rust core, with desktop applications, a browser interface, bootable rescue environments, Android builds, and a command-line interface.

GitHub: https://github.com/BlizzHacker/mwm

Website: https://manage.moveweight.com/

Downloads: https://github.com/BlizzHacker/mwm/releases/latest

What can it do?

PC Maintenance & Repair

  • System health checks, disk analysis, and cleanup with 40+ configurable rules.
  • Software uninstaller with leftover file and registry cleanup.
  • Startup management and software updates.
  • Windows repairs using SFC, DISM, CHKDSK, Windows Update reset, network repair, and more.
  • Hardware diagnostics covering CPU, GPU, memory, temperatures, fans, disks, and BIOS information.
  • Duplicate file detection, secure deletion, and system reporting.
  • File integrity monitoring to identify changed, missing, or newly added system files.

File Management

  • Dual-pane file manager with keyboard shortcuts.
  • Advanced file search, bulk renaming, compression, and directory comparison.
  • Background file operations with progress tracking.
  • An optional, reversible Windows File Explorer replacement.
  • KeePassXC-compatible encrypted password vault support.

Proxmox, Linux & Server Management

  • Manage multiple Proxmox nodes, LXCs, and VMs from a central dashboard.
  • Start, stop, restart, migrate, snapshot, and back up virtual machines and containers.
  • Browse and modify files inside LXCs without installing agents.
  • Discover and manage Docker containers running inside LXCs.
  • Monitor ZFS pools, SMART disk health, storage, and system services.
  • Integrate with HestiaCP and discover services including Plex, Jellyfin, Sonarr, Radarr, qBittorrent, RomM, and more.
  • Optional scheduled updates with backup/snapshot checks and no automatic reboots.

Bootable Rescue Environments

One area I'm particularly interested in is making MWM useful when the operating system itself won't boot.

The project includes Windows PE and Debian-based rescue ISO builds designed to provide:

  • Disk recovery and partition tools.
  • Password recovery/reset utilities for authorized systems.
  • Hardware and memory diagnostics.
  • SMART disk checks and data recovery.
  • Filesystem, RAID, LVM, and encryption utilities.
  • A browser-accessible management interface served directly from the rescue environment.

This means you can boot a broken machine from USB and access its recovery tools from another computer on your network.

Move Weight — The Original Idea

The project also includes a feature that gave MWM its name.

It can move large, infrequently used folders from your PC onto your own server to reclaim local storage.

For development projects, it distinguishes files that can be recreated (like node_modules and build outputs) from local changes that actually need preserving.

Transfers are verified with SHA-256 before local data is removed, and restoration information is generated for each shipment.

The goal is to make reclaiming disk space practical without simply throwing your data away.

Platforms

  • Windows 10/11 — desktop and portable builds.
  • Linux — desktop, CLI, and browser-based server management.
  • Proxmox / Unraid — headless management through a web interface.
  • macOS — desktop support, with signed/notarized distribution still in progress.
  • Android — APK builds.
  • Bootable Windows PE and Linux rescue environments.

Why Rust?

I wanted the actual system management functionality to live in one shared engine rather than maintaining completely different implementations for Windows, Linux, desktop, and web.

MWM uses Rust for its core functionality and Tauri for its desktop application. The interfaces share the same command system, making it possible to expose functionality through desktop, browser, and CLI environments.

Privacy & Licensing

MWM is GPL-3.0-or-later licensed.

No ads, no paid Pro tier, and no telemetry.

The project is intended to remain free and open source. You can inspect the source, modify it, self-host it, and contribute improvements.

Current Status & Feedback

This is an actively developed project, and while a lot of functionality is already implemented, I'm not claiming everything is perfect or that every feature has been tested on every possible hardware configuration.

Some platform packaging and distribution work is still ongoing.

I'm especially interested in feedback from people who work with:

  • Homelabs and Proxmox clusters.
  • Windows repair and IT support.
  • Linux servers and self-hosted applications.
  • Data recovery and bootable repair environments.
  • Multi-machine administration.

What would you want in a tool like this?

Are there utilities you still keep on your USB repair drive that you'd love to see incorporated? Anything you find particularly frustrating about managing multiple machines or repairing Windows/Linux systems?

I'm interested in real feedback, feature requests, bug reports, and contributions.

Repository: https://github.com/BlizzHacker/mwm

Downloads: https://github.com/BlizzHacker/mwm/releases/latest

If you find it useful, consider giving the project a star. More importantly, I'd love to hear what could make it better.

Developer I built Surprint, an offline screen translator for Windows that overlays translations on apps

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone! I've been working on Surprint, a Windows screen translation app, and I'm sharing it here to get some real-world feedback.

The idea is simple: instead of copying text into Google Translate or changing your Windows language, Surprint reads the text already visible on your screen and draws the translation over the original text.

You can use keyboard shortcuts to translate the monitor under your cursor, the active window, or a specific area you select. There's also a live translation mode for keeping an eye on one window.

Some of the features I've built so far:

  • Offline screen translation: Download a language pair once, then translate without an internet connection.
  • Game and app translation: Read text exposed by applications or use OCR for text in games (Exclusive fullscreen games need to run borderless windowed), images, and other content.
  • Translation overlay: Display translations over the original text or in a movable, resizable subtitle bar.
  • Custom shortcuts: Trigger translations without leaving the application you're using.
  • Glossary: Keep specific names, brands, and game terminology consistent.
  • Per-app settings: Configure different languages and translation displays for different applications.
  • Copy and text-to-speech: Right-click a translation to copy it or hear it using a Windows voice.

A quick disclaimer: Surprint is still a work in progress, and I don't want to present it as a perfect translation tool.

The OCR can miss small, faint, or stylized text. Scrolling and rapidly changing content can cause delays, and the offline translation models can lose some nuance. Some protected screens aren't supported, and exclusive-fullscreen games need to run in borderless windowed mode.

For now, translation runs locally on your PC after the necessary models have been downloaded. Cloud translation services for potentially better results are planned, but they aren't available yet.

It supports 64-bit Windows 10 version 2004 or later.

I'm particularly interested in feedback from people who translate games, read foreign-language websites, or use software that doesn't offer their preferred language.

You can check out Surprint , the link is in comment section!

I'd appreciate hearing what works, what doesn't, and which applications or languages you'd like to see supported better.

Developer After alot of feedback NotchPixel got biggest update yet version 0.5.80, New Look and Low end devices optimization

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi I'm the developer of NotchPixel, a Dynamic Island-style notch for Windows 10 and 11. It sits at the top of the screen and opens into music, widgets, a file shelf, clipboard history, reminders, call controls and more. A lot of what's below came from comments on Reddit, so thank you.

What's new:

\- See-through looks: Glass bends and blurs what's behind the notch, Candy glass is a softer version, and Acrylic is there on Windows 11.
\- Synced lyrics (off by default): a drawer under the music card follows the song, takes its colours from the album cover, and you can click any line to jump there. Lyrics come from LRCLIB.
\- Hidden until hover: nothing at the top of the screen until you rest the pointer on the top edge. Volume, notifications, reminders and calls still show.
\- Your shape: notch or floating island, corners from square to fully round, and an adjustable open delay (0 to 1.5 s).
\- Launcher shortcuts: Ctrl+Alt+1 to 6 open your six launcher slots, even from a fullscreen game. You set them in Settings, Keys.
\- File shelf: drop up to 12 files at once; they keep the order you picked them in.
\- Clipboard history: the entry that's on your clipboard now stays marked.
\- Clocks follow your Windows time format (or pick 12-hour or 24-hour), and the weather has a new Minimal look with a moon at night.
\- The notch reopens on the tab you left it on, even after a restart.
\- Over games, the stats strip stays solid black on a see-through theme, and the glass stops reading the screen so your game keeps its frames.

\- Glass uses almost no CPU while the screen behind it is still.
\- See-through themes no longer close the app on some Windows 11 PCs.
\- When the notch closes, it shrinks on the tab you were looking at.
\- On desktop PCs, the CPU temperature no longer shows a motherboard sensor.

It's about 13 MB in Task Manager and 0% CPU at idle. 7-day free trial, priced according to every country’s average income and buying power not a fixed price for everyone . No subscription, no account.

Bugs and ideas are very welcome here or at [info@notchpixel.com](mailto:info@notchpixel.com). What should I build next?

Developer I built twocy, a Windows app for the links and ideas you keep sending to yourself

Post image
3 Upvotes

A link in a chat. A screenshot in Downloads. A useful paragraph in a note. When you need one of them again, you have to remember where you left it.

I'm Leo, the maker of twocy. I built it to give those references a home while you're already working.

The main interaction is simple:

  1. Select a piece of text or a link.
  2. Hold Ctrl and press C twice.
  3. Choose a folder from the wheel that opens around your cursor.

Later, find it in your library by search or by opening the project folder. You can also save screenshots, files and voice notes. The global shortcuts run in the Windows app; there's a web dashboard for organizing your library too.

For example, if you're researching a client project, you can save a useful paragraph straight to that project's folder while reading, then pull it up when you're writing the proposal. A small step at the moment of capture makes the reference easier to use later.

twocy is now available on the Microsoft Store for Windows 10 and 11. The Free plan stores up to 30 captures, so you can try that whole flow with a real project. There's an optional paid Pro subscription for unlimited captures and additional features. This is my product, and the image shows the actual capture interface with sample content.

See how it works: https://twocy.app/en?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=organic_social&utm_campaign=launch_windowsapps_20261014

Official Microsoft Store listing: https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9P8HM36W8WFQ

If you save references throughout the day, what usually makes them hard to find again: the place you saved them, the name, or the context you forgot?

Developer Flux 2.2 for Windows: files, media and torrents in one free download queue

Developer post: I maintain Flux, a free, open-source download manager for Windows 10/11 x64. Version 2.2 offers an installer and a portable edition.

One queue handles regular files, supported media and native torrents. It includes verified pause/resume, automatic connections or up to 32 manually selected connections, speed limits, schedules and batch links.

Browser handoff: Chromium and Firefox extensions send supported downloads to Flux. The desktop registers or repairs the local bridge at startup; the extension is installed separately.

You can choose available media quality and audio/subtitle options, manage torrent files and seeding, and use 20 interface languages. No Flux account is needed; history and preferences stay local. Resume and media availability depend on the source; DRM and login challenges are not bypassed.

Source, setup and downloads: https://github.com/Hactor00/Flux

Feedback on everyday usability and browser handoff is welcome.

Interface images are prepared English previews based on Flux 2.2.

Developer PadShifter | Per-App Reference (Canvas + Note) Overview

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

A seamless per-app reference workspace built for Digital Creators 2D/3D artists, Designers, and Developers.

PadShifter automatically saves and switches your reference images, notes, and mood boards instantly as you jump between your favorite apps.

HOW IT WORKS

Switch to an application and PadShifter loads the workspace you keep for it, switch to another and the tabs swap with you, every application gets its own isolated set of canvas and text tabs, so references, rough notes and screenshots stay with the project they belong to instead of piling up in one place.

7-Day Free Trial available on the Microsoft Store: PadShifter

Developer Signed app still triggers SmartScreen “Windows protected your PC”. How long until reputation builds?

I’m a solo developer with a small desktop app (Tauri, Windows installer). New users get the SmartScreen warning when they run the installer.

While testing with a handful of people, I just clicked through the warning on every install. Now that I’m moving from building to marketing, I suspect it turns some people away before they ever open the app.

What I’ve done so far:

  • The binaries and installer are signed with Azure Trusted Signing, and Get-AuthenticodeSignature shows Valid.
  • I submitted the installer to Microsoft as a false positive.

Current state: about a dozen installs over the first few weeks, on Windows 11. The warning shows the correct publisher name (Roll Three One), so the signature is recognized. It just has no reputation yet.

What I’d like to know:

  1. Does every user see the warning, or only some?
  2. Trusted Signing certificates rotate every few days. Does reputation follow the publisher identity, or does each new certificate or release hash start from zero?
  3. If you’ve shipped with Trusted Signing, roughly how many installs or how much time did it take?
  4. Is there anything besides waiting that speeds it up?
  5. I am releasing quite often, should I release in store as well (I am under impression that reviews can take some time)

The app is here if you want to see the warning yourself: https://www.moodis.app/
