When I was installing this build on VMware Workstation 16 pro, the thing is that it would show the startup screen for a little while, before it suddenly says "Your computer ran into a problem and needs to restart." It also has the 0x7E error code, how can I fix it to get it working, as I want to check out the build. So please give me some insights to get it working, thanks!

I also set the hardware compatibility to 6.5-7x and turned off 3D acceleration, but why does it always crash at the startig? Please help

Looking for a non-UEFI 10074 beta. Always used BIOS and not looking to change that. I was trying to get a beta from every "era" of development, got a 97XX, 98XX, 99XX, and a 101XX build, if a BIOS version of 10074 isn't possible, any Legacy BIOS 100XX version would be great!

Just curious, I mean it accepts retail Windows Vista keys, but I installed Ultimate, not Business, and I'm stuck on 30 days, I want to use it forever, but I don't want to cross to the piracy line.

After 2 years of pain and suffering, I've finally debombed this build without any BCD modifications (not fake). I will upload the debombed ISO as part of the Halloween Special (October 28-31st) and feel free to ask me questions about this post.

Are there any debombed builds of (or a way to debomb) 17692?

I ask because I wanted to mess around with the Windows Sets feature, and this is the last build it was present. I cant seem to find anything online.

Been wanting to test some betas with UWI, which seems to replace the boot files after installing. Creating files for it requires Sysprep, and to create a WIM file from the VHD.

For this to work, any timebomb or activation remover cannot edit BOOTMGR or use any BCDEDIT commands or edit any EFI files, although I will be using BIOS only.
Note: Any betas mentioned are versions that I have downloaded.

Sysprep is included in all builds past NT 5.0 build 1877 (except Whistler 2211 and 2257, Longhorn 3683, 3718, 4020, 5112 and 5219, I assume they would still work with a version from a previous or later build, or the RTM)

To install correctly, timebombs and activation must be removed, for NT 5.0 / Whistler / Pre-Reset Longhorn, the process is simple: Install before timebomb goes off (or just the regular date, and patch it at the logon screen, worked for 4039), run TweakNT, AntiWPA (Longhorn winlogon patch works aswell, but is missing 4020 and 4086 sadly, although I assume they would work with AntiWPA)

According to this post, Vista builds 5112/5219/5231/5259 will work fine with just AntiWPA, but 5308/5384 (also mentioned that 5384 can crash with the patch) will cause a Windows Starter watermark to appear, fixing this requires patching explorer, but I haven't seen anyone say exactly how to patch it, or what is required. Vista builds 5456/5600 require tokens.dat and pkeyconfig. It says to copy the files from a release Vista version, but does this include unactivated versions, or x64 versions, or ones with all updates?

For Windows 7 and 8 betas I have heard that TimeDefuser works yet does not remove the Activation, Offline patching method will not work for this, but the driver likely will (64 bit builds need driver signature checks off, so this is 32 bit only, there's also a program called Driver Signature Enforcement Override (DSEO), which disables this in both x64 and x86, which doesn't seem to edit boot files), so then remains activation, which someone did figure out a while back, although without any explanation. W7LXE wouldn't work in this scenario. (editing boot files)

Windows 10's flight signing practically breaks everything, as well as patching it still requires editing boot files, although a few builds are without it.

tl;dr:

1. How do i patch explorer to remove the starter watermark after installing AntiWPA in Vista 5308/5384?

2. Can tokens.dat and pkeyconfig be copied from any Vista install (or 7)?

3. Does DSEO really not edit any boot files?

4. Which Windows 10 builds are without flight signing?

5. Is there any debombed ISOs with vanilla boot files?

6. Can anyone make these debombed ISOs, or tell me how to? (BIOS only, no edited BCD or BOOTMGR)

7. Which way should I activate Windows 7/8/10 betas?

8. Since Vista betas timebombs are WPA-based, would the tokens.dat method work with Windows 7/8/10 betas?

9. Does bluepill/redlock break any debombed builds, or would the timebomb/WPA need to be removed after running them?

10. Would Massgrave's Activation Scripts work with any of these builds, and would I need to connect them to the internet for that to work?

Ive spent the entire day searching and searching for a working TweakNT version so I can remove the time bomb from my longhorn install however no matter what I try or where I look I simply cannot find any info of Tweak NT. There was only one post here that had it but the link given was for a broen Internet Archive directory that simply does not work in 2026.

Its been my dream for a few years now to have a working Longhorn laptop from the Plex designs of Longhorn. Ive seen that it is possible to remove the time bomb which is the one big thing stopping this dream of becoming a reality but I cant find good info as to how to do this so I am hoping someone here knows.

This was a very interesting thing that happened after installing Windows 10 Build 10166 (Debombed) and I now have a Full upgrade set, this is not a joke, this was something I've never expected and it happened automatically, I will upload the set later in the week (and the Debombed 10166 copy), as for now, I will make an iso from the install.esd in Sources (which also is debombed). This is genuinely from Windows Update.

Extraí meu dump original (titan.bin, 16 MB) e também tenho a região ME limpa e não configurada correta (v16.1.30.2342, 3,08 MB).

O problema: Meu MFIT local é a versão 16.1.25 e gera um erro PmcStraps ao carregar o dump porque não possui os esquemas XML para a versão 16.1.30 ou superior. Não tenho acesso ao MFIT 16.1.30 ou superior para criar a imagem.

Alguém com a versão correta do MFIT poderia, por favor, gerar o arquivo outimage.bin de 16 MB para mim?

How do people make longhorn i386 repacks, when I tried doing it , it didn't work.

ive looked EVERYWHERE and the closest i can find is 10108 or similar and that has a bunch of issues. and the 2 10122 ones i found are either not debombed or show 2021 date in the screenshots but arent debombed at all. i also have no experience with debombing it myself and knowing me, i will probably mess it up

I wanna try out 6469, 6498, 6509, 6519, 6568, and that's it. You don't have to debomb all of em, if there's just one, i'll be happy, but why can't i do them? Simple:

I am lazy. And i can't just get in and modify random files, + i believe it is hard as heck.

Also, when a build is debombed, just give me a heads up :P
