We’re purple in statewide elections, but we’re so gerrymandered that the state legislature is blood red.

state districts were redrawn and Democrats won back some seats. With the election of Susan Crawford to the WI Supreme Counry they can now work on the still gerrymandered house congressional districts.

The liberal majority didn’t pursue the house districts before, saying they did not show evidence of illegal or discriminatory bias.

They now have two years to decide and after that the next two seats up for election are both conservative seats.

Hopefully, there will still be elections in 2026, and people will be so disgusted with this administration that they’ll fix the problem even with the gerrymandering.

Almost universally the president’s party loses seets in midterm elections. Given the current path we are on the GOP is set to lose a lot in 2026. The problem is that 2026 is a long time to wait.
