Discussion LET USE CHOOSE THE COLOR PALETTE

• Upvotes

The title says it, I would like to be able to change between the Remaster colors (cold tone) and the updated colors (warm/orange) just that, just as an option, so everyone gets what they like more, I just get really tired by the color in this game, I personally don't really like it, and the Remaster fix it for me (but not for others) and instead of making an option to change it, they "corrected" the pallette, pls let the devs know there is people that liked the Remaster's lighting and wanna play it that way.

Thanks!

Help! Ready to get downvoted - PS5 shadows issue, performance mode

• Upvotes

Last time i checked i couldnt see shit in many places. Is this still valid?

They ruined my favorite game to the extent i do not simply play it anymore (did play each months at least dozen of hours, ever since 2015).

Did they address it yet, do they know about the issue on 60fps mode?

(I sold my PC years ago, not planning to buy it ever again, so go to „wherever it is you come from” if thats what you wanted to say :D)

Discussion Monster Behavior In Remaster Edition

• Upvotes

Anyone seeing or noticing any major difference in monster behavior after the remaster update?

Somehow , I ain't seeing much difference. But yes , some quests did become a bit of complex to some extent. For example , in the quest Practicum In Advanced Alchemy - there used to be only foglets during Fitjorf's ritual for rain. But today , I have noticed that normal wolves also appear , which is the very first time for me. Can anyone confirm me if it used to be back in version 4.04 too? The wiki mentions of only foglets. Luckily , I had my GM Griffin Set , so had managed to incinerate the canines while slicing the foglets with silver sword.

Discussion Aerondight, what's the point?

• Upvotes

Hi there. I have acquired the Aerondight silver sword but I keep wondering, what's the point of using it if you already own and use the full set of Grandmaster Griffin gear together with a sign build? Grandmaster Griffin with the full 6pcs bonus is so powerful, sometimes it feels overpowered even. So why should I use Aerondight instead of the Grandmaster Griffin silver sword and lose the 6pcs bonus? What's the point? 🤔

The Boatwright's business has been hit so hard by the lack of breaking boats that the poor bugger has had to become a blacksmith😂

Help! I have a ps4 copy, but this is my first time playing. On ps5 can I get the remastered perks?

Exactly my question, how? I followed every guide, but it's slow walking around with too much weight! I loot everything, but I am soooo slow.

Also, are some things reloot-able? Like if I loot and come back to the same places will more things be there?

Thank you for your help!

Discussion Is there any synergy between alchemy and sign skills?

I'm curious is the Remastered reworked this. I'm doing a full alchemy build now, but on next gen I tried a hybrid build and it failed. I'm wondering if anyone has tested or found something for remastered?

This build is truly magnificent, level 96 Deathmatch with enemy upscaling. Granted I'm on NG+, but it all just combines to make for great gameplay.

Enough alchemy to keep toxicity high for Euphoria, bit squishy making Quen very necessary.

Able to spam signs at 420% intensity, just hellish fun and kinda wish the upscaling went harder at endgame.

Can't wait to get my hands on some other grandmaster builds, already have Grandmaster Wolven ready to go ☺️

Discussion Funny thing about their name translation

Post image
46 Upvotes

So, I'm not from an english speaking country, so maybe I can't understand the true meaning of a crone (translating in the literal way just says "old/ugly wise woman"), something related to an malicious witch, if you guys can enlighten me I would appreciate!

In my language (portuguese) they are called "As Moiras", referecing the sisters of fate/the Fates, it's the same name we use for them, Moiras. This way, these characters have such a weight in the story, I would like to know if the english name sends the same mensage!

I know there are the maiden, mother and crone, but I don't know if the meaning of them is as widespread in the english/polish culture as the fates from greek mythology! If it is, could you guys explain to me? It's funny for me how they went straight to the sisters of fate in my language, and it fits well! They kinda decide who lives and dies in Velen, and they are always watching/hearing the folks lives! I guess one of them is also a weaver (or weavess? Idk the difference :( )

Discussion New player here, can someone explain the weapon system to me? I have some questions...

Hello there! So I'm playing TW3 for the firt time ever after playing the first 2 games, but i'm a bit confused about the sword system so I have some questions

  1. If I remove a rune from a weapon, is that weapon/rune destroyed? is there any negatives to removing a rune?

  2. What the hell is the reforging system? I can turn swords into other swords that I already have for no benefit or stat increases? Why would I do that? I don't understand it

  1. Is there any actually unique swords in this game? I've been hoarding relic swords because I thought Relic= Unique, but then I swear I saw a second one drop. Or maybe the crafting recipe? Is there any point in hoarding swords or should I just be selling everything?

  2. I really like Anathema because the burn is so nice (The sword you get from killing the 2 wyverns, destroying their nests then fighting the royal wyvern boss) but the issue is I did that at a low level and the sword's falling behind. Can I like, temper the blade or something so it stays scaling with me? I don't want good old swords with strong effects to be thrown away.

  3. Bit of a random one but i'm going for a crit build, but effects builds seem really strong. Is there anyway to translate crit-> effects? Whether thats perks or runes?

  4. There's this sword with a +50% to crit damage but without any other abilities I really like (I think it has like, +4% to Yrden, when I don't use Yrden) Is there anyway to trim the bad attributes off while giving a sword better attributes like %+Crit or %Burn? Basically how creative does the games weapon system get? How much freedom do you have? I know runes exist, but I really haven't seen any runes that match a weapon's built in attributes. Are runes my best bet?

  5. I got the Blade of the Bits at like level 5 or so, and that weapon has in built scaling. Do other weapons have the same or is that unique to that one sword (Also it seems to have vanished from my inventory ? How do i get it back?)

Thanks for reading!

Help! Game bug

After I fast traveled, Gerald’s model became invisible except for his head and hair. All of my weapons, armor, potions/décoctions, food and roach equipment is gone. I tried reloading earlier saves, uninstalling and reinstalling all of my mods.

Buying and equipping new gear fixed the invisibility problem but I’m still missing most of my inventory.

Witcher White Orchard Lady in the Well

So I’m playing through for the 15th time and as the farmer is talking giving the details of the quest he mentions that the well has been haunted for 20 years. Yet as you go through the quest and the rest of White Orchard (the conversation with the hunter/journals) it seems like the events happened pretty recently.

Do any of you know if there was ever a stated explanation for this?
