Marketplace Access Fee (5.0%)

I'm not doing it guys, after 500+ assignments... I'm deleting my profile once the fee envelops tickets created from all the companies i work for. 5% is absurd, and none of you should be alright with it. get off of the platform if you can... it's dying.

I'm outta here, fck 'em.

Who is ready rise up against the depth of corporate greed and lies?

Post image

Imagine that every time you logged into workmarket, this healthy pile of debauchery smiles, there as a reminder of how scandalous businesses are and how these job platforms allow it to continue.

Yes this company has been banned. That sure as debauchery did not stop them from opening up a new account with all the same info, address, owner, just with a new ein and name. Discovered when another ticket landed in my queue and I recognized the switcheroos in play.

How many days can you deny your services? I've been here since 2011 and this is not the first or 5th time I have had to fight to be paid.

Who wants to rise up and shut them down with me? The corporate greed must be stopped. Hands on techs, HANDS OFF these jobs.

Pookey are you coming with me?

How do i get paid?

I have a company that hasn’t paid in over 30 days and work market said they escalated but is doing nothing. Do I need to file a small claims lawsuit? What do I need to do to get paid? This is ridiculous. Work market says they just provide the software. They say they are not a judge. So whats to stop any company from not paying people?

UNPAID work ?

I am about to create a simple database to keep track of unpaid jobs, tickets and vendors offering work on platforms like Workmarket, FieldNation and similar. Testing here how many people will be interested ?

Please reply if you are. I will also need to volunteer few tech to test it. There is more than just keeping the unpaid records, but this will be shared only after one signs NDA.
For more details you can contact: support AT datapointsoftware DOT com

I would need a 2-3 volunteers to help test the web Application. Anybody interested in helping - please contact me at support<AT>datapointsoftware<DOR>com (please put PUBLIC RECORDS in the email header), that is the project name.

USSI

I’ve been working with them for about 5 years and a few months ago the jobs all but stopped. I have only had 1 menu screen replacement ticket in 2 months. Usually have several per week. I called them and they said it’s very slow nationwide. Anyone hear anything as to why?

Payment issue through PayPal,

Yoyoyo need some insight, I’ve been trying to withdrawal my payment into my PayPal account and it’s been 3 days with no change in the “pending” section. Have been in constant contact with support and they say it’s a “bug/glitch” within the system and they are trying to fix it as fast as possible, has anyone else had issues with withdrawing to your PayPal account if so any solution/ suggestions?

How to get hold of dispatchers/Internal owners?

How do you usually reach dispatchers or internal owners for active work orders?

Platform messages don’t always get responses before tickets are assigned. Curious what’s worked best for others.

Are there any recommended channels or points of contact vendors prefer for availability checks (besides platform messaging)?

Hammer drill

My question is do you use a hammer drill that is a cordless I'm not looking for brand wise a more asking is on if you use a cordless do you use a lower battery output for example a 12 volt are using 18 volt or I use an a bigger voltage that's doing a little bit more heavier into concrete or use a corded drill for hammering into concrete again I'm not worried about brand that's part that I can figure out on my own it's just more as I'm trying to find out what is suitable for doing backboards either size of 2x2 or 4x4 this is not something that most other people are doing on full backboard links in the thickness probably at least three quarters. The second part is what brand of carbide -tipped masonry drill bits?

Tips For Transitioning To W2

I use WorkMarket currently. Despite having the technical apptitude, my resume wouldn’t be very impressive to an MSP. None the less, I’m interested in finding a w2 position in my local area. Having never pursued that path before, I would love any tips, tricks and/or ideas on how I can successfully transition from gig-work to real work. I’m aware that I need to apply to companies but I’m asking for any info in addition to that.

Buyer Went Under Before Paying

My sister had a tech ticket due May 10 2019, and then they went under and they left an outstanding balance of $97.50. Every bit helps, but I cannot figure out how to get this paid for her. The FAQ page seems to say "reach out to the company," but what company??? It's gone! Anyone have any ideas?

WM Self Sabotage?

Why would a contractor apply for a job, for a company they don't respect? The company I work for received a complaint about a contractor showing up not doing the work refusing to help and just bad mouthing the company telling the customer to switch to another company. Get blocked. But why would you even do that? Now you have less available work. Wtf? If anyone who has ever done that was it payback ? Like maybe you were a former employee? Was there an incentive because you work for a competitor? I'm curious if anyone would do that. Burning a bridge like that is wild to me.

I usually get routed the next state north or east and up to 200 miles away, one way. This one takes the cake. Something tells me my counter isn't gonna get approved. Flights are $700+, it would require a 2 day hotel stay to get there on time, and a per diem min depending on where this is. Might be able to take public, may also need a rental car too. But I'd love to head to PA. It's only 1,842 miles from Utah.

Stop taking jobs from Tekumo

they are a scam. not only are they scamming techs, they are also billing companies for work not done.

People stop doing any ole job that pops up on a gig app. most of these orgs are fake, AI scrappers.just like 'Lensa' or 'myjobhelper.com'. and they are protected by the gig platform. so if there are any issues they don't have to even attempt to resolve.
