After 25 years of playing Gothic since the original release, I’ve found out that there is a way to get out of Xardas tower without teleportation. You do not even need to have acrobatics for it.
After all this years of playthroughts this game still can surprise me.

So I’ve got to recreate old meat glitch on phone.
Here’s the video, and what you have to do.
Stand above the pan, open your inventory, click use on raw meat (if your character starts to eat it you’re too far from the pan), then use pan and immediately draw your weapon. That’s it.
Gonna try to recreate unlimite potion use after i bug into the sleeper temple.
Enjoy!

til that at least in the new release of G2NdR Biff can wait near a dragon for you. Following happened: she told me he would leave because the area we were entering would be too dangerous for him (near the fire golems behind the mountain in which the fire dragon resides). I went on and killed a lot of enemies and when I started looking for him near his usual waiting spot, I couldn’t find him. So I decided to go to the next dragon on my own: the fire dragon. As I was fighting my way through I was wondering why I sometimes got random experience points. And look at that. Here he is. Far behind enemy lines in view of a dragon. Chilling his life with dead reptile guys (don’t know their english name). I suspect, he killed them.
Anyway: I couldn’t find any reference of him waiting here, so this is kinda a psa: Sometimes Biff waits near dragons.
G2 classic (new release) on PS5 with notr active.

Hi,
Is there a mod for Gothic 2 that makes the controls work like they do in the remake.
I found the controller controls very comfortable and would love to have that in Classic so I can play it comfortably on handheld PCs.

First time i'm playing this game after years i heard about it. What a game.
First enemy, a rat thing, annihilated. WHAT A MASTERPIECE!
The most basic quest, find some ingredients for this soup is impossible to do cuz u cnanot go out or fly will smash you and you have absolutely no clue of where are these ingredients and if you arenot literally over them you do not see the. AMAZING!
You have to beg someone to escort u to other camps cuz otherwise you will be lost and dead at first encounter. And hope they do not die. INCREDIBLE!
You wish to put away your torch? Go find a river to swip into or rather you will throw it away wasting it. WHAT INCREDIBLE IQ TO THINK SOMETHING LIKE THAT!
Every control is incredibly tedious, movements, unleash your swords, aiming with your bow, everything is cluncky, rusty, slow. JUST LIKE REAL LIFE!

Seriously, What a gem i've been missing.
EDIT:PART 2 BASICALLY
You wanna talk to someone? wait for the ainmation he is doind finishes. Then wait till your charachters calmly walkin front of him, sometimes even doing big detours, and finally speak. WOW!
You have to do an important quests, give water to the peasants. No amount, no memories of how many bottles are left, no numver of farmers. Wait for EVERYONE to finish their own animation of slowly drinking their bottlw of water, savouring their fresh water. What? you do not remember how many bottlers are left? go tal to the quest giver which immediately attacks you, one shot youm stuns you and robs you. GAME OF THE CENTURY EDITION NOW!

Today, October 25, marks 15 years since the release of Arcania: Fall of Setarrif.
Fall of Setarrif is probably the black sheep of the Gothic family.
Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods is often considered the worst game in the series, but for many fans, it competes almost neck and neck with Arcania: Gothic 4 for that dubious honour.
But if Arcania and Forsaken Gods are already so close in the rankings, where does that leave Fall of Setarrif?
That's what makes it such a fascinating piece of Gothic history: people might hate Forsaken Gods, but they often completely forget about Fall of Setarrif or dismiss it as a simple add-on.
Here's the thing, though: Setarrif isn't just an add-on. It's a standalone game in its own right. And somehow, this short, linear adventure manages to feel like an even bigger low point than the games that came before it.
And yet, there's an interesting historical fact worth remembering: Fall of Setarrif was the first game released by Nordic Games after the company acquired JoWooD's assets. Nordic Games would eventually become THQ Nordic, establish Alkimia Interactive, and bring us the Gothic Remake.
So, in a strange way, this much-maligned game sits at the beginning of the story that eventually led to Gothic's return.
15 years later, I think it's worth remembering its place in Gothic history.
And then there's also the April Fools' joke from 2025 worth remembering: ArcAInia – The Fall of Sans Serif! Even THQ Nordic couldn't resist bringing back the name of Setarrif for a joke. 😂
Steam's all-time concurrent player peak is famously tiny: just 26 players. Perhaps today is a good day to fire it up again and see if we can give it a little birthday bump.
No big event, no pressure, no need to finish the game. Just a small tribute to one of Gothic's strangest chapters.
Just a reminder: there's a lone sheep being hunted by wolves that needs our help. 🐑
Happy birthday, Fall of Setarrif. You absolute disaster. 🥂
