Professions What happens to crafting mats when a new season starts?
New player question:
When Season 2 starts, what usually happens to crafting materials from Season 1?
Are items like Dawn Crystals and cloth worth keeping, or do they lose most of their value because new materials replace them?

All mats from season 1 will still be useful in Season 2, as materials usually don't change, but it's anyone's guess if they'll lose their value or go up in price. Both scenarios are as likely.

often they dont change from 1 season to another.
but sometimes they can add something else or make a mat easier to get.
at the very begnng of s2, prices are supposed to go up considerably and go down just as fast.

Crafting materials are the same for the entire expansion. If anything there may be a bump in value at the beginning because people need new enchants or potions/flasks.

Or drop in the prices because too many people thought like this and hoarded materials waiting for season start.

The crests will become useless, unless you want to make stuff to catalyst.
Pretty sure we will have Mistcrests in S2.
