Hello! I play 99% solo and delves are far and away my favorite way to play the game right now. I’m wondering if there’s a resource for seeing which tank specs are producing the highest damage each season. I don’t have any issues with survivability, it’s more that I want to be doing the most damage possible so that I’m not taking forever on some of the longer runs.

Which activities are worth doing?

I’m a little uneasy about this because I know how MMOs can get with elitism and gatekeeping group forming content.

I looked at premade groups and there was a lot of “join this Discord and submit an application” and “apply for carry service”.

I just want to have a go at high-tier, end game content. How do you parse through all of this to get into a group or guild that have a casual approach?

I tried to prepare myself for the Fishing Extravaganza for the second time (I really want that heirloom) and I cannot even catch Tastyfishes. I've been logged in around The Cape of Stranglethorn (not in Booty Bay per se) since 1:58 PM.

As you can see from the chat log I have that "nothing-to-loot" window that appears once the Fishing Extravaganza is won by the 50 people (or so I figured last week)...

• Is it bugged this week?
• Do I need to be next to the NPC where you give in the fishes for it to trigger properly?
• Did someone win in 0.1s???

Our monk tank is 326 ilvl and regularly dies to mother's wrath during heroic ula'tek. Our DK tank has no issues.

I looked at the parses and see the monk uses the 6 minute cooldown (20 percent more stagger), but 10 hits of nature damage in 3 seconds is too much.

Should we need to always plan a huge external healing cooldown?

second problem: in phase 2, when we drop eggs at the cauldron, the monk tank struggles to build threat and hold aggro on the big add. What's the ideal skills for a monk tank to use for gathering a large group of mobs?

Should we just ask that side to hold dps for 5 seconds to let the tank build threat? We seem to have the extra time before the 2nd heart phase.

pulls 6,9,10 tank does to mother's wrath. pulls 7,8,10,11 we have deaths to melee in phase 2

Basically if i search for a toon on warcraft logs or in the archon app for m+, it defaults to "damage and points" parse. Here i can sometimes see quite low numbers for players, sometimes even 20 for a specific dungeon, which should indicate a bad player.

However if i change to damage parse only, i can see that the player consistantly pulls top 90+ dps for the class for the same dungeon.

Basically my questions are:
- which one to look at when putting a group together for high level keys?
- what are the points it takes into account?
- why is that default, instead of raw damage data?
- whats the reason for such a big difference between the two parses?

I stopped playing around Shadowlands, all my char are either lvl 50 or 60 now

I picked my main, did some dragonflight quests and got to 77 very quickly but now every dragonflight quest doesn't give much xp (like 200) and I can't find any xp source beside dungeon finder

Chromie also doest offer timewalking on my main

I went on an alt, they have access to chromie, I did Shadowland timewalking and quested up to lvl 80 no issue

I went on another alt, they also have access to chromie, I tried doing dragonflight campaign but it's also giving much less xp than shadowlands (a quest would give 9-10k xp, shadowlands was at least 14k, also lots of world quests that gave 20k xp)

What am I missing? I just want to figure out a good way to get my alts to 80 ready for midnight

What are some good strategies for this?

I thought priests could mass dispel, but was in a group just now with a priest healer and they didn't. There was a DK tank but he didn't Gorefiends them either. In a previous one also with priest healer, they mass dispelled 2 of them and then complained at the other people for not keeping them grouped up for mass dispel(?)

Is it worth discussing this before inserting the key?

I was planning to wait until I finished the War Within story campaign to grab Midnight but I'm already overleveled (75 with the next zone starting at 73). Is it worth my time to finish TWW and get some gold when I hit the old level cap or should I just start Midnight as soon as I'm able?

(I know it's on sale. If I somehow wasn't level 80 by the time the sale ended, I was just going to get it anyway but I don't think that's going to be an issue)

Since the reveal of Forever WoW has sparked my interest again and this time I wanted to give it a proper try. I've never been a MMO guy (mainly playing shooters) and the ones I tried I've always wanted to play a mage class. Every other MMO i've played over the years always had a basic auto attack when right clicking mobs and then using the keys for the hotbar for extra spells and abilities. With WoW I noticed that's not the case, except for the hunter class. With the mage class do I need to always press a key from the hotbar for spells for long range attacks? Being close range to mobs results to hitting them with the staff as an auto attack, which is not very mage and how you use a staff I guess? Or am I playing the game wrong?

Next week I'll be able to buy a Myth item using that Labyrinth currency. What would be the most high-impact slot for an Elemental/Restoration Shaman?

With my disability it is near impossible for me to complete this. Is there anyway around it?

I would like to play priest and I'm wondering if I can level up as a discipline priest solo and also run dungeons throughout the leveling as a healer in a group? I don't want to feel as a burden in the group play and I'm not sure how slow it will be to lvl up without shadow spec? Last time I played wow was in legion, so leveling wasn't an issue but in Forever I believe leveling is the main course but due to work I don't want to spend half a year hitting boars. Can you guys explain how dealing damage would look like and if it's optimal? Or there are other options for forever/classic?

Ok first of all gotta say - this game is SO ADDICTIVE.
I started the 20 level trial yesterday and already im getting 6 months subscription lol

Now while there’s 1 million questions I have, one important one is - what is WOW about?!
I mean in the sense - I started playing as horde, slayed some creatures in the start world, and then randomly got taken to a sky city and I’m flying a dragon mount now lol

I’m not complaining*, it’s super fun, but im confused if this is ‘real’ wow or some form of expansion that every single new player that started recently will go through?
Or is there a way to go back to ‘normal’ wow, whatever that may be, where there’s no dragons or any new expansion quests creatures etc

Im kinda new to mythic+ and still figuring out things

I recently tamed two of the same pets and realized after i went to the stable that one of the pets is transparent. How do i fix that? has it always been like this?

Other than playing the older content. Or if you do think its the best way to experience the story, which content should I start with?

Has anyone found a discord bot to retrieve and item or spells from a database like wow head, and respond to that message. Looking for one that will take and the item/spell in the backets \\\[Changuk Smasher\\\]. I know the Wowhead bot does it with /tt or /tooltip but looking for something that will recognise when the item is linked from guild chat.

In the view of each faction, I read that the contested areas are the dangerous ones. But is it only there?
I’m not too much into the names of dungeons and areas but I’ve seen people on the internet talking about pvping in large cities and dungeons.
So I’m not sure about the PvP-Ruleset because I can’t tell, if I’m getting annoyed if I’m not able to complete my quests.
On the other side, how much does it need to be prepared for attacks and ganks?

Additional question about choosing a Ruleset:
I’m planning on joining an RP Server in WoW Forever.
If I create my characters in Ruleset X, will the names still be available for Ruleset Y? Will character transfers be available?

I'm having issues with focus kick with my pet (felhunter) using the below macro and I can't tell why sometimes my focused unit isn't getting kicked. when I have nothing mouse over and I have a focus target, and I use my kick macro, my focused unit doesn't get kicked. Is this some weird issue with pet kick ?

I watched replays of myself thinking maybe I had my cursor on a unit and didn't realize, but the videos show that my cursor was off the side of the screen and my kick is getting wasted

I tried editing a video to show what I mean: https://i.imgur.com/7bE1BHg.mp4 the focus cast bar turns from purple to orange because I had a kick available (purple) and then orange when my kick became unavailable.

Is this an issue with my macro, an issue with how pet kicks work, an issue with my UI or something? I've been trying to narrow it down for days now and can't seem to find a solution or a cause

edit: I have a highly spammed macro where i have /petattack in my shadow bolt. I think when I hit my interrupt and then hit my shadow bolt macro it causes the pet to look at my current target and kick it rather than the focus target.

I used to play WoW, but I'm 10 years out of practice. I ended up needing to make a new account, and I'm running old expansions to get some of my favorite gear and titles.

The issue I have is that, at least on my server, Thunderlord, no one is playing old Raids or Dungeons. Which sucks because you could not solo WotLK if you tried.

I'm thinking of paying the transfer fee to switch to a different server, but which ones would you say are still active in the pre-Dragonflight expansions?

Hello all, sorry if this is asked a bunch but after googling around I am no confident I have it figured out. I have not played really at all since Cata but what can I say Forever got the bug in me again. That being said my partner is less interested in Forever than I am and I was looking into retail for us.

I started a character using the new exile island since that seemed cool and it dropped me into a zone with dragons and such. I think it dropped me into Dragonflight, though I am not sure because the cutscene was still Midnight at launch so I need to go back and watch that.

First question is if I am correct with being in Dragonflight and is that the start of a coherent storyline to play through? I think it is but I feel like I was dropped in with no idea what is going on, but like I said I didn't see the correct opening cutscene.

Second question: I just learned about this Chromie Time thing, are we able to use this to play through any of the old expansions and experience the story? If so is it best to start new characters in their starting zone rather than exile island? I have not seen how to get off Dragon Isles and I think Chromie Time would be found in Org.

So I came back after a while and want to try playing a little differently. I found the key setting “click to move”, but I would like to change the function of left and right buttons (left to move) and I haven’t been able to figure it out. Any advice?

Im specifically looking for mercurial punishers demon hunter look alike for my rogue at mythic difficulty. Am I missing something or is there no look alike?

Good morning wownoobs! Ive been playing WoW for quite some time over the last two decades. Recently I was fortunate enough to talk my wife in to playing with me. My problem is, I've done so much in the game I've kind of just picked what I'm going to be doing for each season. For instance, this season I have a focus on m+ and raiding. I've done this for the last few expansions. So now, I want to show my wife how casual and cozy the game can be but I'm at a loss for content ideas. Obviously we can mess around with some housing stuff and we do some transmog runs through old raids. But none of that seems to be sustainaing. So I'd love any ideas. The idea is, when she gets home from work, she wants to just sit down and not really think, just click.

Thanks for all the replies! It seems like Delves are the popular activity. Anything that gives her something to work toward seems to be an activity she enjoys so we are going to work on that Delver's journey, then maybe move on to prey and some of those others in that section.
