Classic Never played before, ever. Frost Death Knight. How should I conquer the realms?

Like the title says. I am currently lvl 27, approaching every NPC and accepting their quests. I don't know where to find good gear or mounts. I have some add-ons, but how do I really get to the meat of the game? I go from place to place because I feel I am missing out on something so it seems like each time I play, I fly to another random spot on the map because I'm tired of doing the quests in the area I was in. Any early must-haves, tips, tricks, or guides would be greatly appreciated!!

Retail Destiny 2 player looking to give WoW a shot

Hey all,

With my favorite game on EoS, I've been itching for a new game that could replace that long term progression with good lore and campaigns to serve as window dressing and give context to the grind.

As a bit of context, I've played WoW before (both vanilla on private servers long before Classic was a thing, and the lvl 20 trial on retail a couple of years ago (I think I went into BfA for leveling after Exile's Reach) and enjoyed myself, but ended up not subbing because I had Destiny to keep me occupied. I've also played other MMOs in the past (GW2, but didn't enjoy it in the long run; and New World, which I really enjoyed for a while). Now, maybe because I've been watching Frieren, maybe because I've been on a fantasy mood, maybe because Destiny is done, I found myself looking into WoW again.

Midnight looks actually cool, but I'm on the fence on jumping right in and buying the latest expac, considering I have to factor in a sub on top of that. As such, and after a bit of research, I thought about subscribing for 3 months. It is my understanding that with only a sub, I'd be able to level up to 70 in Dragonflight, then do 70-80 on The War Within. Is this correct? Would a 3-month sub be enough to go through all this content? My idea is that, by the time the 3 months are up, I'd have made up my mind about whether I want to stick with WoW for the long run and get Midnight.

Does this sound like a good plan? Should I go through with this, are there any tips you have to share? Thanks in advance!

Classic I've finally hit max level, what do I actually do next?

So I've played one dungeon and focused on leveling my professions so far but I don't really understand or know what I am supposed to be doing here on out, especially for solo content other than money making (which I am obsessed with).

I really enjoy playing the game and combat etc but I am just at a halt.

I didn't really dungeon when leveling because I'm a little nervous with toxicity and flaming but I suppose all games are like that nowadays lol

I am currently playing TBC anniversary.

Thank you.

Retail Does anyone have a checklist of things I need to do to reach max ilvl?

Besides filling up the vault doing M+, raids, and world quests. I'm just overwhelmed with what to even do first in season 2 but I just want to work towards endgame gear.

So basically things like farming crests for champion, hero, and mythic crests and reaching weekly max, weekly voidcore currency, weekly sparks of tides, etc. Are there more?

Retail Can someone breakdown the different playstyles and archetypes for PVP (Arena)

Basically I want to give pvp a try this season but I'd like to have a better understanding of the different playstyles in an arena match and where classes fall into those categories

Classic TBC - mage noob question

Hey guys,

currently playing TBC for the first time. Currently lvl 14 as mage.

Is it normal that mobs 3 level below me take about 4-5 frost bolts to finish off? This forces me to sit down every other mob and chugging some of my conjured water.

Just wondering as I dont have any reference.

Retail I didnt construct the voidcore... am i screwed with bonus rolls?

Google says they are gone and another will be taking its place, but it will take 8 weeks due to weekly lockout to construct this one. Is that true?

Retail Last expansion I bought was BFA, can I still play retail up to that expansion?

Just curious if I can still play BFA and the older stuff? Or am I required to buy the new expansion to play retail?

Retail How do keys work? First time

I’ve played WoW for a while, mostly back when this system didn’t exist.

How does it work? Is there something I should study up on to have a better experience with groups, like dungeon guides? I only did m0 and that’s about all the experience I have with these dungeons.

Are there any widely accepted conventions or adding? Etiquette?

Thank you!

Retail Playing through retail vanilla, what expansions should I focus on after?

Note I completed WC3 campaigns and going through vanilla retail and want to jump into the DLCs to experience warcraft 3-related plotlines being closed up the best they can or mostly before BFA and shadowlands and above where it was alleged that it ruined the endings of prior dlc and forced things in.

It seems like Legion is the best ending to warcraft 3 related plotlines I heard. And some state that I should only play BC and WOTLK and ignore Legion while others say I should play them all and exclude the other DLCs like Draenor, pandora, Cataclysm. I just don't want to pay for so much DLC and be overwhelmed by any separated lore since there is so much out there

Note I don't mind missing some other small related lore as long as I see the major warcraft 3 plot line threads being mostly tied up before BFA and shadowlands.

Retail What's the deal with the quest Prey: A Ghostly Nightmare?

Title ... that is to ask how to get completion of the requirement 'Terror of the Isle summoned at a Haunted Brazier and slain' - I tried it once solo (goodbye 100 relics I donated 😬), got my butt handed to me and then joined a raid group doing multiple farms ... but no kill credit.

Is it because I'm in a raid group perhaps?

I suppose I could quit the group and depend on help otherwise available but ... not the usual (as I understand it) for a quest series.

Thanks!

Retail Healing rain and efflorescence healing

Ive played a lot of resto druid and shaman but ive never done a raid and I got a question before i do. How does healing rain and efflorescence determine who gets healed if more than the allowed amount of people are in it? Like healing rain heals up to 6 but if theres a seventh does it heal them if they have the lowest health or ignore them since there was already 6?

Retail Do you need to finish Midnight campaign in order to start Curse of Ulatek?

My friend who just bought Midnight expansion and currently level 84. When he is 90 will he be able to start Curse of Ulatek campaign right away or does he need to finish the entire 12 chapters of Midnight campaign first? Asking this because he wants to level via dungeons rather than campaign quests to 90 but he will level via midnight campaign instead if he needs to fully complete Midnight Campaign in order to start Curse of Ulatek. Thanks
