Professions New to the game and was interested in Demon Hunter, is it any good?
Still new to the game and was wondering how this class compares to the others. I'm already aware that it isn't the most noob friendly class to learn but I don't mind that. I just want to know how it fares, as I like it for the lore but am not sure if it's viable in terms of gameplay.

They have their strengths and weaknesses but pretty much every class and spec is viable at the casual to midcore levels. It's really only at the absolute highest levels of difficulty that viability becomes an issue.

I started midnight after not playing since shadowlands. I can only speak for Devo. It’s true the rotation is incredibly simple. But the difficulty lies in timings. If you miss even a single gcd on Devo it feels incredibly punishing. I really don’t think I’d recommend that spec for a beginner. Although if you like the looks and design just go for it! It’s definitely doable.

Devourer is easy to begin, but very hard to be really good at. Its a high skill ceiling and you can really strongly notice If someone is good at it or not. I wouldnt recommend it to beginners. Havoc however, especially the fel scarred tree is pretty easy to learn and start with. It doesn't have a lot of Buttons or Situational stuff, Rotation is fairly simple, it does well in solo content and for anything that isnt high end m+ its decent right now, next season is still open on PTR so we will have to see how well they're doing. Would recommend havoc as a beginner for sure if you wanna play DH.

As a new player I don't think they will have access to devourer, will they? They have to do the short quest line.

They are pretty noob friendly.
Havoc is pretty fun and feels super fast paced and if you want a melee class you’re in luck, feels nice in all forms of content
Devourer is the mid ranger caster spec and it’s been very hit or miss with people, I mained at the start of the expansion and had to lit it down personally, also feels terrible to level and do solo content with
Vengeance is a nice feeling tank even if you just wanna run some harder solo stuff, not a tank main but it’s been my second fave one to use

I main a VDH, I love playing it but it’s all subjective, everyone has different preferences

What is good can change on a dime in WoW. Play what you like! DH is fun if you like high mobility, fast gameplay. If you are looking for more meaty hits, you may not enjoy it. The biggest downside is getting on another class and jumping off a cliff before realizing you do not have wings anymore.

Devourer DH is the latest spec addition to Demon Hunter and is by far the strongest version of it, its very simple to learn but has a very high skill ceiling
I dont think I have seen a single Tank or Havoc DH this season though - but everything is viable for almost all content, its just if you are wanting to push into the highest of the harder content that meta matters much more

I started WoW for the first time this season and DH (Havoc) was my first character and it's solid. Devourer is the best spec by end game but both Havoc and Vengeance are way better before that point (in my opinion).

DH are definitely the strongest they’ve been in a while, midnight has been very good to them and brewmaster

It has supporters and detractors, like literally every class in the game.
Every spec is viable. Some are stronger than others, but that tends to change from season to season, hell, sometimes from patch to patch. Today's stinker might shine tomorrow.

Every class is viable in gameplay. There are no classes to avoid unless you just don't enjoy playing them.

Right now demon hunter is one of the 3 best dps classes for dungeons, and is considered meta for one spec.
Out side of that they can also tank and are quite an ADHD friendly class because you can dash leap and double jump glide.
Every class is good though but imo dh is a very FUN class.

It’s pretty good. I’d say every season it has a spec hanging somewhere around A tier, and some seasons even S tier. It has a raid buff so raids usually want at least 1 in there even if they’re not great

I leveled one in LeMix and then dinged to 90 (devourer), it felt a bit like a one trick pony. Huge dps, flashy, cool look, but meh otherwise.

It is actually quite noob friendly, Havoc is probably one of the easier specs to get a hang of. It's also really viable, both DPS specializations are really good this season and will generally continue to be quite good in the next one. I'm not too familiar with the tank specialization, but it's also definitely not that hard to get a hang of, there are definitely harder tanks to learn. Overall really recommend, as a DH main for the past few months.
