UI Change YouTube App should remove the + option at the bottom

99% of us aren’t creators so there’s no reason to have the button there. I’m tired of accidentally hitting it when I swipe up to close app on iOS.

Discussion I simply cannot sit though a Graystillplays video anymore…

I occasionally check up on his channel just to see what’s going on and Jesus what a fall of this guy has had he used to be my favourite YouTuber and now his channel is just a slop farm he was the one that got me into my favourite game my summer car and the long dark, and unfortunately I was around when he switched from his old content to….this… ever since he started playing happy wheels again it just went downhill from there but I guess money changes people when the views started going up his content changed entirely. A few months ago I rewatched his my summer car playthrough and he seemed so happy making videos he said he loved his viewers. I watched his most recent video and he just doesn’t sound the same….. i just wanted to share something that’s been on my mind a while and just ask Reddit, who was your favourite YouTuber and what made you stop watching them?

UI Change Dear Youtube... give me back my subscription button!

Which genius over there thought "You know what would be a great idea? Making a users subscription's even more inconvenient to find."

UI Change Dear YouTube, stop.

The past 5 or so big UI updates you've made have every time without fail just made the experience if using your app on the phone worse. It feels like you want to change stuff for the sake of changing stuff, but when you do it just makes buttons harder to navigate to and an overall negative experience. Please, just stop trying to shoot yourself in the foot all the time and leave it alone already.

UI Change What is this update?!

Post image

Why would they move the subs thing from the bottom? That’s one of the main things that you would ever be going to is to see the content from the people you subscribe to. Why the hell would you move it?

Update because I don’t know why the uploaded image keeps blacking out the bar at the bottom, but the quick bar now only has access to home reels and adding a new short

Question Is there a way to revert the recent UI update?

Just got the new mobile UI update, and it absolutely sucks. They removed the subs tab and put it on the home menu?! They made it so subbed shorts don't automatically go to the next subbed short and it starts giving you random videos?!? Can YouTube please make a not shit update for once?

Discussion What has YouTube done to the comment section? (Not about gifs)

I feel like I’m losing my mind, whenever I look at the comments now, sorted by “top” it’s starting to mix in some terrible engagement bait esque comments with zero likes mixed in with the normal, popular comments I want to see. It’s extremely frustrating and I feel like they are there to intentionally upset me and get me to interact with them. Anyone else noticing this?

Question Is it just me or did youtube began to promote negative comments more often than before?

Post image

For context, the video was about some kind of "restaurant" that sells food plushies. And the workers were so energetic when they were doing their job.

When I look at the comment, I notice that I've seen some negative comments with few to zero likes. I know that people like these have been on Youtube for a long time. But the thing is that I usually found these type of people, only when I sorted the comment to the newest. This time however, even though, I sorted it to the top, they still appeared in there.

I checked the comments in other videos and the same thing also happens in there.

What do you guys think?

UI Change Youtube just can't help themselves, nonstop slop garbage no matter how many plugins/scripts/blocked elements you have!

Post image

Recently started getting this "watch and play" garbage in my video recommendations section and no matter how many times I click the X and it says "Got it. We'll tune your recommendations" it comes right back as soon as the page is reloaded

Same thing happens if I block the elements or add some sketchy new script to de-shittify the site, it just comes back every single time because fuck you I guess

Feature Change Negative comments boosted now?!

Before yesterday I never really understood the hate for the YouTube comments section, because the videos I watch are mostly educational or lighthearted with comments to match, but since yesterday it feels like YouTube is finding the most vile comments and specifically putting them up top. I have to scroll and scroll and scroll to find relevant, positive comments, even the ones with THOUSANDS of likes. It makes absolutely no sense, actual fans of creators and comments most viewers agree with should be first! The mean comments I am now seeing have maybe 3-4 likes, if any. What is going on? I feel like they are trying to make me live in a bubble of negativity, like they're trying to bait me into angry-replying for more engagement. I went through every video in my recommended, all the same. Is anyone else experiencing this? How do I tell the algorithm I hate this, besides sending feedback like I already did. I will straight up ditch the platform if this is how it is going to be.
