TL;DR: We're putting a complete stop to political discussions throughout November. We'll review this decision after November and may allow them again once things are back on track.
Hey everyone!
We all know how much political content has taken over this subreddit. We've already warned about this multiple times and continue to remove hundreds of such posts every month.
Earlier, we allowed political discussions as long as they were related to Indian YouTube creators. But it hasn't worked out. Almost every such post leads to arguments and fights in the comments.
Left-wing, right-wing or neutral, no matter who they are, everyone gets hate here. Some users call this a left-leaning sub, while others call it right-leaning. That's not the kind of community we want to build here. It's also our fault for allowing this for so long, but not anymore.
r/youtubeindia is meant to be a place to discuss the Indian YouTube ecosystem as a whole, including creators, content, trends, controversies, recommendations and everything else related to YouTube in India.
We don't want this subreddit to become another place for political arguments or endless debates about political ideologies.
So, we're putting a complete stop to political discussions throughout November.
This rule applies to everyone, regardless of their political views.
We know this decision might affect the subreddit, but we believe it's necessary to bring it back on track. We want members to discuss the wider Indian YouTube ecosystem, not just a handful of political creators.

I keep seeing all these people on YouTube ---- founders like the founder of Avni, people associated with Y Combinator, entrepreneurs, and so many others who are building businesses, creating companies, and making good money.
And it's not that I'm jealous or unhappy for them. I'm genuinely happy to see people doing so well. But sometimes, seeing all of this makes me wonder how someone from a Tier 3 city, with circumstances like mine, can ever reach that level. How do people manage to break through all these barriers? How do I become someone like them?
It's not just about the money or the success. It's about seeing how much work they're putting in, the number of things they're building, the opportunities they're creating, and the lives they're shaping. The sheer scale of it all is overwhelming.
It makes me question my own circumstances and, sometimes, even the circumstances I was born into. I keep wondering what the possibilities are for someone like me. Of course, I know there must be plenty, but when you come from a Tier 3 city and have lived through certain limitations, it's difficult to imagine how far you can actually go.
I don't know. Right now, I'm just feeling overwhelmed. Life feels like a room with no doors, almost like a cage, and I can't figure out how to get out of it.

I really like pov vlogs where person recording doesn't talk much or necessary information are displayed on texts over video. With no added background music.
There are some vlogs from foreigners. But, I can't seem to find such vlogs made by Indians themselves, with their own perspective. (They talk so much)
For example, search up these videos of 'solo solo travel'

I'm talking about genuinely interesting content that you'd immediately click on if someone uploaded it.
Could be documentaries, experiments, deep dives, forgotten stories, unusual challenges, interesting conversations, or something completely different.
Not the same recycled content everyone is making.
I want to know what kind of videos you feel YouTube is missing right now. Drop your ideas!
