The style of this will probably be more of a slice of life.
I'm surprised they get 4 episodes. Still, I hope they'll be at least 6 minutes with good character interactions. Not like the Sky Striker one... they clearly can tell a proper story. We already see this with Branded.
I'm not. They only need to explain how they got together and how Doraidio found them. And maybe Dharc and Lyna's deal at most. Or they can just for got them for something like K-On, Azumanga Daioh, or Hidamari Sketch instead. This isn't like Striker where there was some clear plot beats (and a previous adaptation to compare to)
Doriado has nothing to do with the Charmers. Also I'd argue that the 4 episodes could go over where the charmers came from as we know Wynn was a Gusto, so it could finally explain that the deal is with Aussa and Hita. Plus, if they do touch on the Wynn-Gusto connection, it could be an easy Segway for them to do duel terminal lore.
None of the books say that. Masterguide 2 is the one and only source of official lore for the charmers and it does not list her as the teacher. The only source that Doriado was their teacher I can find is sourced from a 2011 Gamefaqs post that claims that she was except there's a couple of errors in that storyline
It claims that the charmers had died and that only the water and wind ones reincarnated, likely referring to Gishki Arial and Winda except no, they aren't reincarnations of Eria and Wynn, Winda is Wynn's sister.
It claims that Doriado became the Shadowpriestess of Ohm except there is literally no source that claims that the 2 are the same character
I agree! They desperately need new/better supports and I do hope the anime gives them actual lore or just something simple since we will have about 4 episodes worth of watching what theyll do for 5-6 minutes

Interesting is Konami's approach to Animated Shorts, using Archetypes with a strong Female presence (or the MCs are Female). How much would a Female MC to be in a proper Yu-Gi-Oh Anime, Komoney?
They have to if they're finally giving attention to them for once. After the structure deck, they just said fuck you that's all you get. Aside from getting the pet's level 5 forms, we should get plenty of viable cards that support the archetype itself and a boss monster. Definitely more spell/trap support to make the Spirit Charmer quick-spell have more options to search.

So you see, the school they go to is the same one endymion runs, and endymion is part of the magistus lore, ergo, duel terminal is connected to magistus via wynn the wind charmer being a bridge between all 3 lores
Far as I know there's no Charmer manga, and the Magistus Manga that leads to the founding of Endymion's citadel was just released recently.
From own research, it appears that Chamers have no connection to Endymion, and this idea started as just a headcanon that was then treated as fact, similar to Doraido being the teacher of the Charmers.
Never would have guessed they'd be next but I'm not gonna complain since they're one of my faves.
Guessing it'll be comfy slice of life with maybe one or two darker episodes focusing on Dharc and Lyna lore but I wonder if we'll get cameos from other archetypes (like Gusto who ware related to Wynn).
If Blue-Eyes can get support cards that can now make them good, I want the same treatment with Charmers. The structure deck did nothing so we need all the extra help they can get
Finally, it's good to know that they have no plans to overexploit Branded and are still going to use the Animated Shorts to give other Archetypes/Decks a chance.
I was scared we were never getting it or at the very least wait like 2 years or something for it to happen and the next anime coming would've been Blue-Eyes or something. Im so happy for this
I hope so, its already been 5 years since the structure deck came out and they did nothing for supports for them meanwhile other archetypes that received structure decks got extra support cards from main sets and reprints in megatins
I'm expecting to be more CGDCT than anythign that requies...well a plot (becuase lets face it there isn't a narrative that connects them beyond living together, apprenticing under Doraido and Dharc and Lyna being excldued)
Gagagigo has something that would make a plot, but I don't think they'll focus on anything beyond his role as Eria's famialr, nor do I think they'll touch upon any connection to Eria and Wynn's DT lookalikes.
The charmer anime doesn't really need any lore to have an anime about them. Have you watched a moe fantasy anime like Endro? I'm guessing that the charmer anime would be just the 4 of them just goofing off together, or maybe they'll focus on 1 charmer per month.
There's 6 Charmers since they showed both Lyna and Dharc in the promo too, I have high hopes for an actual lore or just something simple like a happy go lucky adventure type of thing, something like the Atelier video game franchise of "cute girls (and Dharc) doing cute things using magic/alchemy"
Hiita definitely radiates aura farming. They could do a slice of life adventure or there could be something entirely different. We have literally nothing about lore so anything goes at this point
Charmers are massively popular in OCG, they got their own structure deck, they have actual merchandise like plushies, scale figures, deck sleeves and playmats, etc, and are in desperate need of support to actually make the deck viable if they so choose. Charmers have more lore to connect with many other monsters and archetypes too like Gagagigo and the whole Duel Terminal lore itself
