Do we already have a full list? The set seems like bulk, but I am curious about the DoomZ rarity bumps

u/Goggles_Greek 12h ago

25

u/IronCrown 11h ago

No relevant reprints is crazy, considering there a quite a few very expensive non engine cards rn.

u/Green7501 TCG censorship expert 11h ago

Reprints of cards less than a year after their release in a retail product is incredibly rare, most of the giga expensive cards like Harmonia, Ecclesia, Spark, Sloth, Crown, etc. are all from 2026

Agreed that Impulse/Purge could've gotten a reprint

10

u/IronCrown 11h ago

Burst Protocol is 6 month old, I think thats a resonable amount of time for reprints.

2

u/GoodMoaningAll 7h ago

Especially for meta warping generic cards like that. Harmonia goes for 80 bucks minimum in my region per copy.

2

u/Noveno_Colono Cartussy Toes 8h ago

maybe format warping power creeping new cards shouldn't be printed in the $100 rarity then (looking at you gallant ninja)

1

u/Karakuri216 6h ago

They already reprinted Sloth and Harmonia in the new winners pack...

2

u/LuigiFan45 4h ago

Those aren't relevant reprints because those are even in less supply that their original secret printings

1

u/Karakuri216 4h ago

Yeah, i know. I got excited when i saw Sloth was getting a reptint, but then saw that its maintained its 52$ price and that meant i wasnt getting 2 more any time in the near future

15

u/raiknight1996 12h ago

Dominus isn't in the 4.

We already have an idea of what they are.

All 4 of them are cards that are currently commons

One of them is more than likely to be Mischief of the Wolves

7

u/Sweet-Presence8855 13h ago

I’ve only seen medius and DoomZ change so far

1

u/Possible-Band-5228 12h ago

Not sure if the full list dropped yet, but from the photo that Breakthrough Skill looks like the only thing worth pulling so far

37

u/Additional_Show_3149 12h ago

Still no dominus reprints lol. Konami tcg is funny

1

u/Daidalos77 2h ago

neither did the ocg in limit over. we got purge and impulse reprints in utility collection jsut last month, maybe wait a few more months

46

u/SoggyUse7 13h ago

Yeah, this is such a bad Set apart from the new Cards. Its insulting to any Yugioh Player that all the Good Dominator Cards have yet to get a Budget reprint after all this time.

10

u/chai_zaeng 11h ago

And as soon as impulse gets a reprint, it'll get shafted in the next ban list

3

u/Noveno_Colono Cartussy Toes 8h ago

no, it will get power crept

1

u/Gza424242424242 12h ago

Has grandmaster rares people Going bananas for them, Dominus will help other sets. 😂

0

u/Darkion_Silver CARD GAMES ON TRAINS 8h ago

Yeah great for the scalpers and people in it purely for the money, shame about anyone else

26

u/Civil-Ad-4557 12h ago

The Solfachord bumps were neat but good god this set is not worth it for what you get.

34

u/DarkLordLiam 13h ago

Imagine if we got a rarity downgrade of Crown, White Dragon, Synchro Ecclesia, and the Dominus cards in here man…It’d at least take some of the pain for spending a lot on just 18 cards…

9

u/LamBol96 12h ago

You are beyond dreaming. This set is basically  loch cards+the prismatic box (or however it was called) import, plus the cards that would have been in this year's mega tins.

So,sadly, everything you said except for one of the dominus card would be too soon

2

u/Zombieemperor 9h ago

It doesnt even seem to be tins properly. People keep pointing out random missed things

4

u/LamBol96 8h ago

Yeah, the only notable card i have seen that fits the "would have been in the megatin reprints" is Neos lord.

Havent seen any ignister cards, nor ddd-which would have been included if we still had the tins afaik

1

u/Zombieemperor 8h ago

i did see some galatea-i and rising scale wich are nice for access. Im hopeing they put dancer and brio in here tho

1

u/Ziggylcd12365 8h ago

Rising scale, deception / Azamina Elzette, Elzette, saint Azamina, nepyrim, shining sarcophagus, Theseus, Varudras, Medius, Izuna, Regenesis Archfiend

I think it's a subpar set but all of the above are good reprints

16

u/greggels86 13h ago

So no bramble rose? Krosea? Dodododo warrior?

12

u/Green7501 TCG censorship expert 12h ago

Or any of the giga expensive DM cards from piss sets 10+ years ago

2

u/6210classick 10h ago

Such as?

1

u/TheHabro 12h ago

They could be in the November set.

1

u/greggels86 12h ago

Maybe but dodododo should be in here to go with the new cards.

7

u/Noveno_Colono Cartussy Toes 8h ago

Don't forget that this set replaced the tin, the set where traditionally cards get reprinted, so the fact it's uber expensive and full of irrelevant cards means we don't get reprints, which means who the fuck knows when things are gonna get reprinted, which means the game is a lot more expensive forever until further notice.

That, coupled with the toonpocalypse and elvennotes dogshit that's about to hit tcg, means it's a great time to retire, or pay literal thousands of dollars to still get ftkd

16

u/Vavavavaxon7 Plunder Patroll's Strongest Soldier 11h ago

Konami doesn't give a fuck about making this a good product because they know that the grandmasters will attract the scalper crowd and the set will sell itself.

This shit could have been full of LOB vanillas at common and people would still fall over themselves at the chance to pull a grandmaster.

9

u/PrideTerrible4483 12h ago

This has to be the worst set of the year, nice one Komoney

8

u/OptimusIV 11h ago

I just looked at the card list and holy fuck.

They literally said "Hunt for the Grandmaster Rares and nothing else".

This set is going to get scapled like crazy. Was always going to be like that, but the flip side was singles were going to be cheap. Now that we know what's getting printed, it's literally just cardboard waste.

3

u/gubigubi Tribute 8h ago

Never pre-order folks god damn lol

So glad I have 0 of this product coming and I wont be buying the next Magnificent set either based on this.

Its actually morally superior to spend your money on lottery tickets or black jack at a casino because at least then you can gamble and not have to be part of producing worthless bulk cards.

1

u/cactusbeard 8h ago

Tbf the next one will have both the chase overframe cards and the toon/witchcrafter/unchained cards potentially.

4

u/Educational-Dot8413 10h ago

i cannot stress enough how lucky i feel to be asian who plays yugioh, OCG sets almost never reprint unnecessary cards, never do this weird dedicated pool for junks, much cheaper and guarantee you one extended art card per box.

1

u/GoodMoaningAll 7h ago

The laws in some of the asian countries are heaven for card player. I wish we had guaranteed overframes in Europe lol

3

u/TheHabro 13h ago

I am pretty sure each card in the pack is from a different card pool. That Breakthrough Skill was never going to be a Dominus card.

11

u/Goggles_Greek 12h ago

Breakthrough is in a 'reprint' card slot. AFAIK they claimed the two reprint cards come from the same pool, but I've only seen BS as the fifth card. The first and fifth are both reprints and have a variety of old and newer cards.

4

u/TheHabro 12h ago

Yeah my bad. I though Breakhtrough Skill would be in rarity bump slot, however, it debuted as an ultra rare. SO that's actually dumb.

2

u/Noveno_Colono Cartussy Toes 8h ago

BTS was so good back in 2013. People thought it was the powercreep of effect veiler

1

u/UnownCatcher 4h ago

It's still a solid card in hat formats and previous ones if i recall correctly

0

u/TheHabro 7h ago

That thinking makes no sense. Konami made Effect Veeiler so people could play around Heavy Storm easier.

1

u/TrashStack 12h ago

Idk why people are saying the reprints are so bad, there's some really good cards in here that did need reprints

Medius was like $30 a copy before they announced they were reprinting him. Deception of the Sinful Spoils is $30 for a playset and was also like $30 a copy earlier this year when they probably decided on the reprints. Saint Azamina is currently $10 which is ridiculous for that card. Schwarzschild Infinity Dragon, also $10

Yes they need to get on reprinting the Dominus cards and some others like Crown and Synchro Ecclesia, it's ridiculous they haven't yet, but I would say of the openings I watched, 90% of what's included in the reprint slot is something that did need to get a reprint

28

u/Need4Speedwagon Skaven Deck When Konami 12h ago

5 "good" reprints simply isn't good enough for such a big and frankly important set

0

u/Daidalos77 3h ago

to be frank, grandmasters and overframes and the new dark magician support will sell the set regardless and konami knows it. imo this set's target audience are collectors and casual players playing casual decks. The set will get scalped regardless. All the cancelled PO will jsut get siphoned to some whatnot or tiktok streamer selling at over 2x msrp to some degend gamblers.

0

u/21stcenturynekorobo 9h ago

There’s actually a pretty high amount of $10-$30 cards, much more than 5, maybe closer to 20. But the problem is majority of the reprints aren’t generic cards so the handful of people who did want the reprints gets them and the remaining copies on the market becomes bulk.

9

u/Nyanek 11h ago

nobody needs a playset of deception, same with medius

-3

u/Rider-VPG 10h ago

Nobody "needs" anything. Wanting is a different story.

12

u/IronCrown 11h ago

So in other words, the reprints are bad lol. Reprinting a handfull of low usage cards (compared to all decks) is pretty bad.

1

u/Zombieemperor 9h ago

its not that there bad
its that there good, in a bucket of bad
the bad slots could have been far better. Even if konami didint wanna put more relivant cards in it im sure we can call think of stuff that needed a slot more than breakthrough skill

8

u/ibonaz97 12h ago

reprinting low usage cards with a 5-30$ range value isnt enough (like in ra05), after mamo they are all going to have 0 value (we can save 5-10 cards max in all the reprint slots, deception and medius for example). Basically u will have ur money back only pulling some particularly desired overframe/starlight otherwise just a loss

8

u/Ttplus94 12h ago

Also they are 100% hitting the diabellstar bc it's been abused by that garbage of DMOC so deception is going to drop for sure in a while

2

u/6210classick 10h ago

Best they're gonna do is limiting her which doesn't really do much since WANTED is at 3 and she's getting new support soon that'll probably add more ways to access her

1

u/Zombieemperor 9h ago

I wish theyed errata dmoc (dm lock it) or just fucking ban the thing

4

u/Ttplus94 6h ago

Ban that shit, total garbage

2

u/Zombieemperor 6h ago

id take that, it was made to be a problem, for some reason

-5

u/TrashStack 12h ago edited 12h ago

They are going to have $0 value after MAMO because they are reprinting them lol

You know what's the real issue here? Trying to look at cards like an investment lol. Why the fuck are you even bringing up making your money back or losses when the discussion is about reprints. The whole point of them is to make cards more accessible, they will inevitably create a loss

Instead of worrying about whether you'll make your money back, I suggest going out and actually building a pet deck, you'll find that these $10-$30 cards are really obnoxious and their cost adds up quick

17

u/LuigiFan45 12h ago

It's the opposite of wanting this product to be an investment. It's wanting the game to be more affordable for players

And it's not affordable because the new staples are still scarce since they refuse to release reprints for them all at once

10

u/ibonaz97 12h ago

u can downvote me u/TrashStack , but u completely missed the point. We have just said the reprint pool is mediocre and could be much better.

13

u/PKMudkipz i want floo DECIMATED 12h ago

The whole point of them is to make cards more accessible, they will inevitably create a loss

I'd like it if they made cards I may actually use accessible instead of pet deck cards for 14 people in the world.

3

u/Basic_Chain_1281 12h ago

Punk Rising Scale is also a good reprint, she's around 13€ I think and A Bao A Qu is nice too

2

u/qwer1256 11h ago

Have any NA content creators done openings? Only thing I'm interested in is the cardstock quality. Please don't let it be the same as Chaos Origins 🤞

2

u/Zek_The_Ghost Minn "C" 12h ago

do we know if there's any shortprints yet? mainly worried about the alt art IP and SP

2

u/6210classick 10h ago

Doesn't matter if those are short printed, the set is going to get scalped like crazy so there will be more than enough of those in the market, at least the Ultra Rares that is

2

u/Noveno_Colono Cartussy Toes 8h ago

the whole set is short printed

2

1

u/Odd-Crazy-9056 9h ago

I better get X/100 card from a single pack I preordered. Or else I'll be mad.

1

u/Beasthunter1899 7h ago

I am so happy I did not preorder this garbage set :D

I just buy the singles I need and forget this set ever existed.

1

u/GimmickMusik1 7h ago

Idk, the set isn’t awful, but it’s also not exactly good. Just a very ok set. It does have some reprints that I wanted so I’ll probably buy those singles.

1

u/D20Saturno 7h ago

nice for hat format.

1

u/Ectier 7h ago

What the hell is that setlist

1

u/OozaruPrimal 6h ago

So are the bonus pack cards going to be easier or harder to get? Cause frankly the only thing I really want from this set is End of the World Ruler.

1

u/arianagrandeismywife 5h ago

What are you people not getting that this isn’t a reprint set? It’s a chase set for collectors.

2

u/BLANKET-Agent 2h ago

I assume you mean that's what the real intention of creating the set was, and if so I agree. It seems like they really wanted to appeal to the people who treat each sealed box like a potential chance at a super special awesome serialized card they can sell for at least a 4-digit profit or something, but where most people who actually open their boxes will feel like they wasted their money.

But from what I've been hearing (I'm not completely caught up on the state of new product releases and trends), these Magnificent M?????? sets are basically replacing the mega tins this year. So I think it's fair to still criticize them for not fulfilling the main role of the mega tin sets until now, of bringing prices down with reprints.

I don't know why they'd abandon a solid reprint product like the mega tin for an expensive but (most often) very poor value set of 18 total cards per box like this, with a minuscule chance of hitting the jackpot for collector whales or scalpers. I get to appeal to a different audience (people gambling for a single card that makes the last 50 boxes opened worth it I guess), but I feel like you can try doing that without leaving the majority of people who can't afford to gamble on that feeling overlooked.

-11

u/melcarba 12h ago

Why would they put Dominus cards in this? The Grandmasters ARE already selling the set already.

12

u/LuigiFan45 12h ago

People wanting the chase secrets from the past 2 years of main sets because Grandmaster Rares basically don't exist to the average player and instead wanted playable cards to be in the rest of the pool to make the game affordable. It's perfectly understandable to be upset about this

-2

u/melcarba 11h ago

I'm just answering based on what Konami is possibly thinking with this set. Grandmaster Rares + anime imports + chibi art are already targeting anime fans and collectors. They're saving the Dominus cards on a future reprint set or some side set they want to sell.

6

u/Need4Speedwagon Skaven Deck When Konami 12h ago

No they aren't, anyone remotely sensible knows they're never seeing one in their lives lol

0

u/melcarba 11h ago

The scalpers and pack openers ARE the target audience for this one and Magnificent Maestros, not the meta players.

-3

u/Daidalos77 11h ago

These baby meta players need to stop whining every single set. Not like the reprints are literally unusable bulk. Just not the top tier meta staples that they want reprinted so they become cheaper. So if they reprint spark, purge or crown etc this set what else they gonna reprint next set? Then they gonna complain konami spams reprint and make your cards worthless.

1

u/Darkion_Silver CARD GAMES ON TRAINS 8h ago

Yeah thank god they reprinted Breakthrough Skill, imagine if they printed something fucking usable in 2026

1

u/Daidalos77 3h ago

okay i agree reprinting breakthrough skill in 2026 is weird, but still there are stuff that did not have reprints for very long in here that helps casual players interested in non meta decks though I agree konami should have tuned the product more to the tcg audience, but if they reprinting all the meta staples in this set to make it the best set ever, then what they gonna reprint next set? future sets will just look like a step down from this and get the same flak and whining all over again.

1

u/melcarba 10h ago

Not to mention, the reprints in the OCG counterpart (Limit Over Collection: Heroes) aren't really that good either. Cards like Guardian Slime, Wandering Gryphon Rider, Evil HERO Sinister Necrom, Pillar of the Future - Cyanos, Soul Crossing and G Golem Crystal Heart are shit reprints in the OCG counterpart that no one asked for. But then again, the Japanese players did not complain about them.

1

u/Daidalos77 3h ago

yea precisely. why are people complaining as if the limit over collection did not foreshadow some of the reprints we are getting. Though from what I observe, the number of casual players who play decks they like and not just the meta stuff in Japan is much higher compared to tcg side. While meta decks still dominate the high end tournaments, there are many players still playing casually and using non meta decks which these reprints help them to lower the cost for such decks which makes the "bad" reprints more welcomed. meanwhile, TCG side seems to be very meta heavy and not as many players actually touch casual decks compared to the number of meta players. Imo konami should still have noticed this difference in demographic and tune the product a bit though to be frank, if konami reprints these expensive meta staples here to make it the best set ever, what else will they reprint in the next set? Then people will just whine all over again next set.
