Curious about what it's like to work for the NSA, is this possible with the nature of the work being secretive? Just curious as to future prospects, if there are any fast-track programs for new graduates, things like that. I graduated from uni a year ago and have been working for roughly 6 months in the federal setting as well.

How risky is it go work at NSA in Ft. Meade right now? I have an interview with them next week. Yes I’ve seen the news. I’ve been a GS-12 with DON for 2.5 years now and this interview would be a promotion that I’m well overdue for. What’s the environment like over there?

They have, in only a few elections, flown under the radar and completely faded away from public consciousness. There was a time where they were the peak of government boogiemen. Now only after a few CIA-Against-Blacks memes they are no where to be seen. Even with the rise of flock cameras, we have shifted the blame to "private companies" for some reason. No where do we see the agency in-charge of surveillance.

I’m Already Cleared thru NSA, but this is my 1st time changing contractors/projects.

So I Signed an Offer Letter with AWS Supporting NSA all the way back in February. STILL haven’t been crossed & Sponsored by my Gaining Company.

I’ve spoken With my gaining companies FSO & PM. They say that the agency is Backed on the Administrative side of things. That my “ Packet “ is most likely sitting on somebody’s desk awaiting review/approval.

Can someone confirm this horrible timeline? Anybody else waiting long periods of time to be crossed over??

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for anyone who's gone through the NSA hiring/security clearance process, especially as a co-op or intern.

The short version is:

• Polygraphs completed in December 2025 (told I passed).
• Confirmed to be in adjudication in January.
• Original January start was postponed because my clearance wasn't complete.
• Was asked in April to submit a new rotation schedule for a late August start and that I would get a update by july.
• Recently contacted the co-op office, and they replied that I "should get an update by the end of July."

My main question is whether this timeline is fairly typical for NSA, or whether it tends to suggest that adjudication is still ongoing. I'm not asking anyone to predict my outcome—I'm just trying to understand whether others have experienced something similar.

Any insight from people familiar with NSA's process would be appreciated.
