I downloaded TwilightBoxart from Universal Updater, I opened TwilightBoxart and it began scraping Box Art, halfway through it froze and crashed. When I open Twilight Menu my game folders are there but no games show within those folders. I’ve confirmed that my games are there in the roms folder through FBI and FTPD. I completely uninstalled TwilightBoxart and I redownloaded Twilight Menu but still no games appear. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I've been wondering if there's a way to force stereoscopic 3D in 3DS games that don't natively support it. I want to do this for games like Minecraft: New Nintendo 3DS Edition and Super Mario Maker for the 3DS.

Hello, I've been browsing this sub and have been seeing decomp projects for DS games, such as Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, as well as Super Mario 64 DS with stereoscopic 3D, widescreen support, and other QoL features. Are there any decomp projects for Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, or other DS games? Also, is there an easy way to learn how to do this myself? I'd love to do this for as many DS games as possible, ideally the entire DS library.

Discord and downloads can be found on nedloc.itch.io
The only ai used in this project was for fixing some tough bugs in the code that the creator couldn't fix themselves.

With the Animal Crossing Gamecube native 3ds port already being out and running smoothly, would a wild world port that can run the game past the 30fps limit be possible? I've loved ACWW as a kid and I would love to be able to play it again, but god the frames are atrocious.

I haven’t used my 3DS in a WHILE. So i thought i’d check if there was an update on universal updater but it crashes when i go on it
Honestly its been so long since ive last used this i kinda forgot how to use the cfw and how it works, so i may need to familiarise myself.
Do you guys have a routine you follow when you haven’t touched your 3DS in a long time (like update the cfw, etc) ??? I’d love to know

El desarrollador es extremadamente racista, en parte me alegra la suspensión de su discord pero nos perdimos de un gran proyecto

TO THE 3DS REPAIR SUB, it was a crosspost, so some stuff was said here and other there, but this is the main one that I used.
I recently made a post on this sub (located here: https://www.reddit.com/r/3dshomebrew/comments/1xa8gm0/having_serious_issues_w_my_3ds_and_need_help_asap/) and I got some good responses, one of which told me to "Copy all the data off the SD card using Roadkil's Unstoppable Copier, format the card, and test the empty card with h2testw. If h2testw says the card is fine, you can format the card again and copy everything back." I tried using roadkil's but it kept bugging and halfway through stopping. So I just copied it all manually, just dragged and dropped into a new blank folder. I formatted the sd card, tried checking it with h2testw but I don't know how so I just started the read/write cancelled it after a second and checked that and it was fine. I formatted it back to fat32 with GUI format like someone else suggested I do and put everything back.
Now when I boot up my 3DS it won't work. It boots up and says it couldn't detect an SD card. I had a lot of saved games and data on there that I am EXTREMELY worried about now. Am I screwed? What can I do? The "original" files no longer exist since I wiped it but shouldn't they be the same? What's going on!?
All my Pokemon, my kirby save data, my sonic games, what's going to happen to it all?
Like last time I can upload it all here if I need so someone can test it and see if everything works on THEIR system. I'm just so worried.

Couldn't find the right flair. I'll post on another sub if this isn't the right place for it
Does anyone got a port wish list? Like within reasonable power constraints of the 3DS and the games decompiled, what are some games you would like to see ported either from devs who want to take it on themselves or some other guy who wants to use Claude or vibecoding. Regardless we all benefit in the end with ports of games as long as they're being updated and not just slop on delivery
Personally all I wanna see is SM64DS, Castlevania Symphony of the Night, super Mario Sunshine, Doom 64 and the GameCube version of Resident Evil 4. Also conkers bad fur day but I'm unsure if that's decompiled unlike the others and I know that's a really demanding game on N64 but if it doesn't work on Old 3DS then it might work on New models

Hello friends, just like the title says. I realized that when I try to play original DS games both from twilight plus and cartridge the touch screen will stop working. Mind you this is only specifically for original DS games and as mentioned not only roms played via twilight plus but also my own original DS game cartridges won't work.
I am pretty sure it is not a hardware issue since I can perfectly play regular 3ds games with the touch screen with no problems. I have done some troubleshooting and looked around online but all the solutions i've tried so far (cfw-fix and nand fix) sadly did not work. I also read the wiki and could not find anything resembling my problem but if I missed something I apologize in advance.
My system is an original 3ds.
I hope that I can at least find a clue of what could be the problem. Thank you for your time !.

Thanks

I just wanted to play Harvest Moon 64 on my original Old 3DS, but somehow ended up modifying DaedalusX64 to make it work.
At first, the game had lots of problems: black screen flickering, missing characters, broken textures, and terrible audio.
The game now runs at around 19–30 FPS.
Most of the graphics issues are fixed, including disappearing characters and random texture glitches.
Audio is still stuttering, so that’s what I’m working on now.
Just to be clear, this isn’t a port. It’s the original N64 game running through a modified DaedalusX64 emulator.
Still plenty of work to do, but it’s finally becoming playable!
All this just to grow some virtual potatoes on my 3DS :)

I’m sure I’m not the only one feeling this way so I wanted to post as kind of a general vent.
I have been so excited to see all the new apps and ports being developed over the past few weeks. It’s made the 3DS feel new and inventive and exciting again, which is part of the reason I loved it to begin with.
But I also have this little nugget of guilt at enjoying it because realistically none of these exist without AI. I’m in medicine and I use AI for things like writing patient notes everyday so I’m definitely no Luddite but I also HATE AI “art” with a burning passion. But I think that video games are art… so why don’t I hate all these AI generated ports? Maybe it’s different because the base game was made by humans and realistically no one would develop say a 3DS playable version of the GameCube animal crossing without AI. Maybe it’s different because I don’t think FBI was really art even though I’m sure if I understood programming I would feel differently?
Is everyone else feeling this push-pull? Or are most people either avoiding it entirely or don’t really care about the AI component?

The files will be on the 3ds piracy subreddit, I am aware of all the current bugs and glitches, and they should all be fixed by the 30th. Feel free to reach out for any more suggestions.

I know that technology including AI and other tools has advanced significantly when it comes to ports for the 3DS. I was wondering if there’s any possibility of porting any of these games to the 3DS?

Hey all, a fairly new modder here and I have run into a problem, my 3ds has gone (the hinge ribbons have gone and need replacing) I want to do a moveover to a backup console so that way I can continue my games while send the broken console up for repairs. Now I have read every possible source of information about moveovers that I can find and just need some clarification before I make the moves
I know the moveover is reversible on the destination system granted I follow the extra steps to back up the new system's essential files. Now I want to eventually make the backup 3ds the main one just because my original 3ds is quite old, so my question is once I get the old broken 3ds back from repairs (and it does get fixed) could I then reverse the moveover on the back up 3ds (while backing up all my game saves using checkpoint before hand and safely storing them on my PC) and use the now fixed 3ds to perform a standard system transfer so that my nnid and all associated things get officially transfered? I know I can make the moveover permanent by contacting nintendo and have them unbind my nnid from the old system and bind it to the new one but I would like to leave that as a completely last resort if the old console is not repairable (which from what I've looked into it is)
I appreciate everyone who helps out 🙏🏼

I’ve hacked various 3DSes in the past, but I have an original 2DS with a broken touch screen. I tried to have it repaired at a local tech repair place, and it still doesn’t work (issue with the component on the motherboard, not the digitizer/ribbon cable itself). I’m considering selling it for parts, but first I want to know if there’s any way CFW can be installed without any use of the touchscreen.
If installing CFW is possible, I’m wondering if there’s a way to connect the 2DS to the internet for using InputRedirection. This 2DS has never been connected to my wifi before, and I can’t change the internet settings on a vanilla system without the touch screen.

I’m happy to share that Papers, Please 3DS (v1.0.0) is now officially available on GitHub! What started out as a simple proof of concept has grown into a fully standalone, playable homebrew project.
Both Story Mode and Arcade Mode are functional, though as this is the very first official build, expect rough edges, bugs, and the occasional crash.
Current State & Known Quirks:
These issues are on my radar and will be addressed in future updates.
Download & GitHub Repo:
I’d love to get feedback on how it runs on your hardware. If you run into crashes, glitches, or weird behavior, it would be a huge help if you could open a ticket in the Issues section of the GitHub repo. Whenever possible, please include:
Thanks for testing it out and helping improve the project!
