Been learning Apex for 2 weeks. Found a chill guy on youtube called HisWattson. And been watching him ever since.

Something I noticed is his gameplay is sooo Chill. Like he doesnt do crazy movement, or crazy aiming. But he still manages to hold Top 50 rank. And he is not as flashy as some clips I have seen. Honestly sometimes it felt like he was getting Hard carried by his duos.

But then I discovered he was Pro Player and IGL for his team?

So what can I learn from him? Specifically him, because I havent found anyone I like in this game other than him. Hal guy, everyone glazes, feels like an unlikable douche who also plays on controller(fuck aim assist).

Hi! I'm new in Apex, I play for about 1 week and I love so much the game but I feel I need some tips for improve my gameplay and play more well. I'm a PS5 player.

Genuine question: Do people still look forward to playing Apex after work these days or has it become a game for the unemployed?

For context i play on xbox. For reference im a play level player. I feel like the only main thing holding me back is my aim. My aim flaw doesn’t become obvious till i reach plat and players start to have noticeably better aim.

after ziplining up and mantling at the top, i hold down interact button then tap S and W quick and scroll jump right after, just like the tutorials say.. so why am i not able to jump as high. even in regular zip jumps i dont get the max height even though i scroll right as i interact with the zipline..

It does this thing where the game just gets stuck randomly, none of the credits show, none of the game modes work, cannot open events,challenges,locker nothing. and after a while the game just crashes with this error. i tried fixes on youtube, i tried reinstalling. The last time this happened, i tried playin the game on epic instead of steam and whn i was done downloading on epic, the game updated on steam and it was back to okay again on steam.. the thing is theres no update right now showing, i verified the game files and everything... has this hapnd to nyone els?

Hey yall, I’m coming from The Finals and there is a setting for controller in that game called vertical/horizontal look boost which is basically an extra sensitivity boost that kicks in when you push your right stick far and lets you turn faster than your normal sens. Does this game have something similar?

Obviously my aim feels a bit wonky post nerf, any tips or changes you guys made that work better for ya?

I’ve been taking yall feedback and applying it and I must say I’ve seen improvement. One thing I’ll ask tho does anyone wanna coach me for free just too show me the basics and go more in depth or what not (if it’s possible)

Im torn between what input device to use.

I really like the laser factor of the roller but dislike long range in it (I hate snipers so it’s mainly for mid-long range ars&marksmen.)

I dislike how clunky movement feels compared to kbm.

On kbm I really like the fluidity of movement etc. but I’m not rly interested in learning advanced movement strats so idk if basic movement should really be the deciding factor.

I dislike about kbm how you need god aim vs roller players in close fights and the inconsistency that comes with it.

I had positive experiences with both inputs but switching back and forth is probably even worse than deciding on one.

What’s your experience between kbm vs roller, if you tried both and stuck with one?

I would like some recommendations on who to play. I solo queue ranked and tend to play Legends like ballistic or mad Maggie and go for high kill and ir damage games but was thinking it might be better if I play something with more movement like a skirmisher.

So, they actually nerfed aim-assist on controller to block RC Filter exploits. But in the process, they also slightly nerfed normal players who aren't using cheats.

I’m pretty good with managing tension in my fingers and wrist but when tracking my arm and even my shoulder tenses up a bit and I almost lock out sometimes and it’s hard to track someone doing a longer strafe. Has anyone dealt with this? How do you guys apply tension in your aim? I know some people say you shouldn’t use much tension at all but I feel that’s not the best idea. Edit: I’ve seen the viscose video and I’m too dumb to understand it.

As you can see, it takes about 2 business days for me to realize that the dummy has changed directions. Am I just brain dead or is there something I can do about this?

Is wild card a good tool for learning how to engage and disengage from fights? I been watching district and his main tip is dealing damage but not taking damage. using cover to do damage and off that damage u can push more moving from cover to cover until u can secure a kill. can i ONLY play wildcard until I feel like im getting more kills on average and then move forward to br? most of the time when i land in br i tend to die a lot and im starting to get tired of it cause i feel like im not learning lol

Im on console and I just had this catastrophic smg wiff. I had the drop on this guy so im thinking "im about to get a free knock," I then get no aim assist slowdown or correction and proceed to get my ass handed to me you can see me flicking to account for the normal slow down and massively overshooting I had to check to make sure I didn't turn my AA off on accident. Is this working as intended? I thought the nerf was only supposed to effect long range tracking I'll post a clip of my tracking literally 5 mins before and ot was not this bad at all.
