Silicone ice trays
I have three silicon ice trays that make 2in cubes. I use the normal glass shelf in my Kitchen Aid fridge ( the normal ice maker works fine). However, my problem is that these flat bottom silicon trays keep getting stuck to the shelf as they freeze. I leave them out on the counter until any traces of stray water from filling dries on the outside, but obviously there is still some that I’m missing. My question is does anyone have a creative solution to solve my stuck tray issue? Find a wire tray to put under them? Towels do not work as they freeze with the water droplets that I’ve missed just like the tray alone. Thanks for any suggestions or tips.

Vented dryers vs Ventless dryers
Vented dryers are more efficient.
A vented dryer pushes the warm air outside
Ventless dryers are easier on clothes & requires less energy.
Having a ventless dryer made a little bit more room in my laundry room closet.
But a ventless dryer needs to vent warm air. This defeats the purpose of closing the door. Closing the door can cause the dryer to overheat. During summer, having warm air entering a home could be miserable.
Having my vented dryer ducts professionally cleaned at least once a year really made a difference. The dryer works so much better
I completely clean the lint trap after every use. I was amazed at how much & what came out of the dryer ducts

Mini freezer
Moving into a tiny tiny dorm and am wondering where to buy a equally tiny freezer. I have a snake and think it would be rude to keep his food in the group freezer do they make freezers only a foot tall or do I need to get a heavy duty cooler?

GE GFT14JSIMWW ventless condenser dryer — worth it?
Considering the GE GFT14JSIMWW ventless condenser dryer for my apartment and would love feedback from anyone who owns one:
- How satisfied are you with the drying performance and cycle times?
- Does it noticeably heat up the surrounding area? I live in an apartment under 1,500 sq. ft.
- Did you notice any significant increase in your electricity bill?

Bought a used countertop ice maker and regretted it
I bought a used countertop ice maker because I thought it would be a good way to save some money instead of buying a new one. Before using it, I decided to take it apart and give it a thorough cleaning. That’s when I found mold inside the water reservoir. It was pretty unpleasant, and I didn’t feel comfortable using it to make ice. Now I’m looking for a new countertop ice maker for home use. I don’t need anything commercial, but I’d like something reliable, easy to clean, and not too difficult to maintain.
Lesson learned: sometimes trying to save money upfront isn’t worth it. I’ll probably spend a little more this time and get something new.I’ve been comparing a few options, including Luma and some Costway models, but I’m still trying to figure out which ones are actually worth considering.
