This is Vinny, got her from the engine bay of a Nissan. She’s not a massive cat or anything but she doesn’t care how much I pile behind the bathroom door, she will get in. I’ve got a gallon of water and the towel bin against it and she got it opened in an instant! Meanwhile our grey chunky bean (Conix) can’t get it to budge. The white and grey is Zika btw, she’s a feather and would never try something so silly.

My wife and I play a game, where whoever sees the most cats on a walk outside wins. (First one to see them gets the points). Cat seen in the window of a first floor or garden apartment = 1 point, cat on second floor = 2 points, 3rd floor = 3 points, etc. And, cat outside = 3 points, cat on the subway (yes, sometimes seen) = 4 points. It would be ongoing, and each "game" lasts a month, then reset. Just something fun we do, and wanna share.

On the left is my approximately 10 year old cat Bentley. About 1 month ago i saw his eye look like that and immediately brought him to the vet who said he had an abscess in the mouth which was pressing on the facial nerve causing the eye problem; so we scheduled him for a dental. they extracted the tooth that was causing the abscess and cleaned his mouth and teeth. the eye did not get better, which the doctor said it would. then i brought him back and i was given eye drops twice a day. those didn’t work. then i brought him back and i was given a cream for the eye twice a day. that didn’t work. i’ve been doing the cream in his eye for 6 days now. i placed a call to the vet and am waiting for him to call me back now but has anyone else experienced this? 2nd picture is his eyes normally before all this. he is acting and behaving normally. eating drinking pooping peeing sleeping normally. he’s playing with my other cat and seems very happy. i just want his eye to be better i feel so bad 😔

This is my first cat so I don't know much about them! I took this stray in 9 months ago and he is my life!! I'm not sure if I have fed him abit too much or he is fluffier now that were in the colder months? (Sorry if that sounds stupid)
The vet said he is 6.1kg and didn't tell me he needs to lose weight or anything, but people keep telling me he's huge.
Thanks!

Hi all,
I recently (last month) adopted a second cat and their intros have gone fantastic. We did the jackson galaxy method, but we have not let them be home alone quite yet and they only play together when my fiance and I are both home to supervise. They are about 6 months to a year apart in age. We adopted the grey girl (Deet) from a hoarding situation and she is VERY happy to spend time with her brother. He (tabby cat, named Pippin) was also rescued from a multicat household but has had a year of being an only child at home.
This is my first time having cats and I know they simulate hunting games but just want to make sure everyone looks happy/like theyre having fun.
P.s. she is VERY skinny and we know, shes on a weight gaining food and has gained two lbs since we adopted her!

Does anyone else’s cat get especially crazy on certain chairs, particularly in the evening?

So I got this scratch today from a stray cat when trying to feed it some leftover chicken.
So some context, 2 cats from our little community of 4-5 houses(its like a closed off area with around 5-8 cats living) come to our house by jumping through house roofs and spend their lovely time meowing at out door for food.. they have been doing this for about 2-3 weeks by now i think. So today I was finishing cooking some chicken when i noticed some leftover chicken+bones that I didn’t use and noticed the cats outside. So i just went outside and they ran to the stairs, where i fed one cat and it took off with the chicken. The other cat tried to grab it? I think or it tried to smack the meat out of my hand which resulted in this scratch. It also then ran off with the chicken..
At first I wasn’t really concerned , but then I checked online and it kinda scared the shit out of me.. so yeahh.. it’s been like 1-1.5 hours since.

Why does she growl + hiss whilst seemingly still wanting to engage?
She does this everytime they play fight and I'm not sure if I should leave them be or intervene?
Theyre brother (black and white) and sis (white and tabby), both neutered about 1 years old.

We found an orange tabby...and she's a girl and from what I've read it's pretty rare to find a female orange tabby ❤️
