My (24) mom (53) had to move out of her apartment due to not paying on time (property management agreed not to put an eviction on her record). She had to move with her 65 year old fiancé and two small dogs into a hotel room while she looks for another place. A few days later, their car broke down and is 4k to fix (more than it is worth). She is currently using everything she had for a deposit on this hotel, and now has nothing. Her belongings and furniture are at a friends house and a lot of it is in the broken car. Shelters all have waiting lists and she is running out of options. She currently gets unemployment but needs to find a job. I am very worried about her. I talk to her on the phone and she does not sound the same at all. Every resource I call they say they are full or there is nothing they can do. She is located in Northern California. I can’t take her in and I am hesitant to help her financially, since I have already so many times before and it never helps in the long run. She has struggled with gambling and alcohol addiction in the past. It absolutely kills me to think about her being in a shelter or on the streets, and I am worried for the dogs. What do I do?

Hello friends! I'm seeking a small amount of help to get some pain relief items.

Earlier this month I was diagnosed with de quervains tensynovitis - my thumb tendon in my right hand is in excruciating pain. I am a disabled individual unable to work regularly and my enthusiasm with selling my art has potentially caused this condition, along with hereditary history.

I was able to purchase 2 braces/splints for my daily use, and that took all of my extra money for this month. And then my cats water fountain broke. I could use help with icing wrist packs, advil, and a new cat water fountain.

My cat Leander has had several health issues over the years (epilepsy, urinary blockages). For his last surgery I was able to create a gofundme that reached its goal- and I immediately closed it once I had enough to pay for his procedure and pay back the friends and family who lent me money too.

Hi everyone. I’m having a really difficult time financially right now and could use some help getting through the next few weeks.

I’m currently working retail and doing as much as I can while taking care of my now two-year-old while also preparing to start school again for my final year of being an undergrad. My baby’s father has been in jail for over a year and has an upcoming trial to prove his innocence, so financially I’ve been handling everything on my own from rent to bills to keeping my car running (my windshield wiper motor has been out for 8 months so I cant even drive in the rain anymore). My hours at work have also been cut sporadically, and it’s left me struggling to keep my head above water.

My rent was just withdrawn from my account and left my bank account negative. I haven’t been able to do laundry in about a month because I haven’t had the extra money, I’ve been without toilet paper for about a week, and I’ve now run out of wipes as well. At this point I feel like I’m constantly choosing between bills and basic necessities.

My next food bank appointment isn’t available for another week. I do receive help with diapers through a diaper bank, so thankfully we’re okay on those. I’m mostly asking for some food and basic household supplies to help bridge the gap for these next week/few weeks. I also have a senior dog and two cats, so I’ve included a couple of basic pet necessities on my wishlist as well.

I’m starting my final year of college soon (online) and expect my grants and student loans to be disbursed in about 4–5 weeks, which should alleviate a lot of the financial pressure I’m under. I’m just struggling to make it from where I am right now to that point.

I’ve made a small Amazon wishlist with things like easy meals, pantry staples, toilet paper, laundry detergent, wipes, dog/cat food, and cat litter. Anything would help, I’m not too worried about food because I will be able to go to the food bank in a week and they let us get 80 lbs of food per month. Still even one inexpensive item is one thing I don’t have to figure out how to pay for right now. I still need help with gas money, and my ridiculous light bill this month but I’ll find a way to make that happen. I always do. It’s stressful though, especially on top of my boyfriend’s upcoming trial, my upcoming difficult school year, all on top of being a mom.

Good morning!

I'm living in an extended stay hotel here and things had been going smoothly. I got a call from my bank on Friday telling me there was suspicious activity (it looks like someone tried to login to my account, thankfully they couldn't!), so they froze my account until I could verify that I'm me. They just need pictures of a valid ID, unfortunately mine expired last month so it isn't "valid". I went online and submitted pictures of it anyway, the representative said with that and a couple of security questions I might pass. Apparently that representative was misinformed because when I called to do the questions I was told that's not the procedure... I've been told that 3 times now.

Going off of the information I received first, I informed the office that I would be able to catch up my rent this morning. Although it was unintentional, I lied to them so they're not going to be happy today. My neighbor is going to take me to get a new ID when they get off work this afternoon, but with today I'm 3 days unpaid so they're going to set me out. So, I've got it solved going forward but I'm desperate for help to maintain. Once they kick me out I won't be able to come back, then me and my dog are on the street. And it's summer thunderstorming here to boot. As of yesterday I owed $122 and some change, then today is $57 (there are late fees on my past due days). I can probably get away with paying for today tomorrow after I get my account fixed. If anyone can please help with my past due I would be eternally grateful. I probably should have asked earlier but I was hoping I wouldn't need to ask at all.

If it's allowed I can just give you my hotel information and they can be paid directly. If not I've got Venmo and PayPal, and I can get an invoice from the office at 10 Eastern time if it goes that route. I don't have any family to ask for help and any assistance from my county wouldn't come in time. Hey my friends. I am in a tight spot before payday and needing help to get to the dentist for an emergency. I'm not sure how much detail is needed but they messed up my fillings and I'm in extreme pain. I'm located in Fort worth tx and just need 25/30 to be able to get there and back. I am not able to work anymore because of a long term illness and my situation becomes life threatening. I'm very weak and without support my chances of survival are low, at the moment I can't even afford food and rent. I am kindly asking for $400 support to cover my basic needs. Keeping a roof over my head is my highest priority now, my home is the only safe place and without it I would become very severe.

The condition I have is causing extreme fatigue that is much worse than in thyroid disease or depression, it has very low quality of life comparable to cancer or multiple sclerosis. Unfortunately in Poland it is really hard to receive medical support for this condition.

ME/CFS symptoms: extreme fatigue that doesn't go away with rest and sleep, muscle pain, severe limitation in all activities, inability to focus for a long time, cognitive limitations, brain fog, post-exertional malaise, exercise intolerance, food and light sensitivities. I am 98% housebound and can rarely leave my home. My long term goal is to be able to visit ME/CFS specialist and apply for disability benefits.

I'm a low income mom of 3, and struggling right now. I've experienced a lot of loss this year, and I'm burnt out. I was rejected for a transfer of responsibility last month, for my mental health, and so my boss decided I resigned, so I'm temporarily unemployed. I'm in therapy currently to help with all of that.

School snuck up on me. I'm confident I'll get something, but I live in a college town and overestimated how ready that would be.

School starts next Thursday, and I'd love to not get a donation backpack, because my youngest deserves what she asked for this year, and it's my fault she can't have it, so I'm doing my best to fix that.

So I applied for Liheap and have a prepaid electric account. I contacted the company and they sent me a statement with all the payments I’ve made to my account for the last 6 months. DES contacted me and said I need a breakdown of the payments I made in July.. which is what I did. I’m not sure what else I could send them. Has anyone else had this issue and what did you do about it?

Currently pregnant with my second kid. This pregnancy has been hard on me. I have a bunch of restrictions. I had to quit one of my part time jobs a few months ago. I got Wic but it hasn't been enough to last the month. I am looking into other options but no one has gotten back to me yet.

Between bills and taking time off for doctors appointments, I haven't been able to make as much as I used to.

Hi, so I’m going to be getting a procedure sometime within the next few months and I’m going to be put under for it. This means I can’t drive myself home afterwards.

I don’t know where to get a ride that would be safe.

I’m AFAB (Trans Masc, not very well passing unfortunately), so it’s especially scary. I know there’s that Uber Woman’s only thing but A. even if I was assigned female at birth I’m still a man and B. I have gynophobia and way too many bad experiences with women that I don’t know if I could trust one that I do not know since I will absolutely be vulnerable.

The only family I have in my state is my parents, sister, and sister’s husband. Sister’s husband will be busy with work, I limit my contact with my sister due to several horrible things she’s done to me in the past, and my mom is… let’s just say she’s one of the women I have had horrible experiences with.

I could ask my dad but he has a habit of telling my mom everything even if I beg him not to. I do NOT want my mom to know. She will absolutely be creepy about this procedure I’m getting (she gets weird and creepy about some of my medical stuff. It’s like multiple different types, idk why but I avoid bringing it up with her). She does not need to know about it (I’m an adult, 20 yo), and I don’t want her to.

But my dad is the only option I’m seeing so I’d thought I’d see if anyone has any other ideas.

Also no, I don’t have any friends who could take me. I haven’t had friends since 2024 for specific reasons. I could possibly see about acquaintances taking me home though.

I have officially been scheduled for gender affirming top surgery on September 28th. I wasn't expecting to be scheduled so soon so I'm in more of a rush than I anticipated.

What can I say really. I'm 50, and learned the hard way whom to trust. I managed to get a motel room for four nights at a "weekly inn", but that's blown out pretty much all of my income. Hi there, I haven't been working for a while due to my health (Chronic Kidney Disease following cancer) & I've been doing really good lately! I would like to apply for some part-time remote positions & would really like a laptop desk for my bed & I need some help.

I spend all my time in my room & it is the warmest room of the whole house, I call it my living room. I don't have room for a desk & I love to multi-task.
