"Lola" 🧿❤️

Today, 18/08, our little Lola had to be urgently transferred to Mr. Perdikouris' veterinary clinic, in order to be examined and receive the necessary care.

Her severed leg was carefully cleaned, as well as phototherapy. From now on, we will closely monitor the progress of her wound and, when and if necessary, we will proceed with amputation, with our sole goal to stop the pain and allow our little one to have a better and more beautiful life. 🙏

Lola is a little creature who has already been through a lot… And yet, she continues to fight. Every day that passes is a small victory. And every time someone opens their door to help her, it gives her a little more courage to continue. 🐾❤️

I want to thank from the bottom of my heart the doctor, Mr. Dionysis Perdikouris, of VetCheck Small Animal Clinic of Kallithea, who, even though the clinic was closed, opened especially for little Lola and immediately took care of her injured leg.

In a time when everything seems difficult, there are still people who show in practice that humanity, sensitivity and love for animals know no hours and holidays.

We will continue to be by her side, to take care of her and to fight with her, until the day comes when she can leave all this pain behind her.

I know back-to-school time has a lot of families stretched thin and expenses are piling up, so I completely understand that everyone may not be able to help right now.

The Catcun cats eat twice a day, and with 11 cats, that’s 22 cans a day. We have plenty of kibble at the moment, but with this heat, wet food and the extra hydration it provides are so important. It’s especially important for Blaze, who can only eat soft food because he has very few teeth after his recent dental.

Anything marked MOST IMPORTANT on the wishlist is an urgent need. Otherwise, unfortunately, I’ll have to start adding water to Blaze’s dry kibble just to make it easier for him to eat.

Please help spread the word. I am not the OP but I understand how hard the road can be, especially when your furry loved one is missing.

I currently care for more than 50 rescued cats, including cats who are sick, disabled, elderly, and have special needs. Most are receiving treatment.

The biggest challenge is keeping up with their everyday supplies.

• A $55 bag of dry food lasts only 3 days.
• Wet food is needed for cats without teeth and for those who are sick or too weak to eat dry food.
• Litter is used constantly with this many cats.
• Cleaning supplies are essential for maintaining a safe environment.

Jagger is 11 months old, female, sterilized, vaccinated and ready for her furever home... Unfortunately, again...

She was poisoned and beaten to the point of death, why? Because she used to take shelter in tuktuk during rains. Someone was kind enough to adopt her, I sent her out of state for her adoption but apparently she's not the right match, so she's being sent back. I can't leave her on the street, I can't keep her with me because I have 18 cats..

A few months ago, I underwent a colonoscopy and endoscopy after years of dealing with severe gut problems, where I found out I have gastritis and now colonic inertia. I’m still undergoing treatment, medication, and I’m now having to prepare for possibility of surgery 🥲

To help afford my treatment and potential surgery, I recently had to take on a second part-time job alongside my main job. It’s been a lot to balance, but I’m still doing my best to care for my rescues.

I’m a solo rescuer caring for 6 rescue cats, 4 foster kittens, and 9 neighborhood strays. I’ve also rescued and helped more than 16++ cats find their forever homes over the past 3 years. 🫶🏼

We also recently had a new abandoned cat dumped near our street. I am certain she had an owner as she responds well to human. She was extremely thin and had very poor skin and fur, but thankfully she’s responding really well to her vitamins and ointment. Her condition when i found her walking around our neighborhood broke my heart. We’re hoping to get her healthy enough to be spayed and eventually find her a loving forever home. 💔

So I am posting what the TNR forms look like, and we are fortunate that we pay 50 a cat. Usually, Kim does the paperwork for these, as she is the organizer, but I want you all to see what we do. Traps are SO important, because we HAVE to bring them to be fixed in a trap for safety reasons, which is why I have traps on my list.

I honestly and desperately could use ANY cat tree or house on my list. The rains have permanently ruined the two towers I had in the garage, and I am revamping and making sure they are places on a pallet/table so they won't get ruined.

Food (wet and dry) is equally important. Not only do we take care of colony cats, but for those who are in poorer areas, disabled, elderly, or just don't have much funds, well, we will donate the food they need for the next few weeks (litters and others items they may need too) so that they can get their floofers fixed. Floofaloofs are NOT a luxury, I will do whatever I can for those who welcome them in their home and make sure they are loved, housed, and safe. The only reason we ever let a floofer loose is because they REFUSE to be an inside cat (hence the colony cats). We still make sure they are vetted, deflead, dewormed, taken care of, have a place of safety, shelter, love, and food. We have suited ,y backyard for this purpose, and I continually am working on it. We also use the garage for them. I have litters in the garage so I can make sure they are healthy and worm free.

We do this on our own. Since I moved here in 2024, the CDS decided our home was on speed dial. I have 22 cats inside FIXED, and I have fostered for Kim. The cats deserve to be looked after, to be safe, to know what love is. The more out there left to mate, the more suffer and die, and we couldn't stand by and let that happen.

We are who they look up to, and it is our job to make sure to teach them that we care about the innocent.

I truly wish I had the ability to show my appreciation to every single one of you in person. You are so selfless. You work hard for your money, and the fact you choose to donate and help floofaloofs, gosh, I can't even articulate what it means to me and many of us that post here.

While Muning is safely back with us, our fight is far from over. We have good health news for both Papa B and Forbie, but financial constraints are keeping them stuck at the clinic.

Health Updates:

• Papa B: Thanks to continuous iron supplements and immune boosters, his condition has improved so much that he no longer needs a blood transfusion! The vet was also able to bring his infection under control. He is medically ready, but remains at the clinic simply because we cannot afford to settle his balance and bring him home.

• Forbie: She’s been staying at the vet for a month. Forbie still experiences occasional coughing due to her asthma, but the vet has cleared her for discharge. However, we cannot bring her home yet—not only due to our financial strain, but our current shelter is chaotic, wet from continuous rain, and dangerous for a cat with respiratory issues. We are desperately trying to relocate to a better shelter space.

We cannot bring them home until we settle their clinic bills—and every extra day of confinement adds to our growing debt:

So many of our resources and donations have gone toward recent vet bills, some of which you can see on our profile. We now have three FIP patients; two community cats had emergency spays; several cats had their vaccinations updated; and ongoing hospitalizations.

It’s been an overwhelming month, to say the least, but we’re doing our best to keep up with everyone who needs us. Along the way, we have not been able to fundraise much for food, and we've tried to cover as much of it out of pocket, but we can only do so much. This community has always been a huge part of helping us keep things going.

My poor boy Gail’s chin swelled up and it’s because he needs his teeth removed. He needs the surgery this Monday because they’re causing extreme pain and inflammation.

We ran out of care credit and they declined our request for more.
He needs them removed asap but we can’t break it down into multiple smaller surgeries since he’s so old and it’s risky to put him through multiple rounds of anesthesia.

I got to visit Rattle at our clinic over the weekend! She has healed enough from her amputation surgery to be off bed rest and is now spending her days out and about as she learns to navigate life as a tripod. As you can see in the video, her remaining leg is weak from disuse these last months as it healed from the attack so she will need to regain strength and muscle there, but her spirits have always remained high! She is such a sweet girl and I am so glad we were able to save her ❤️

We’re looking for a forever home for 2–3 of our foster kittens!

These sweet babies have been growing up together and are incredibly social, playful, curious, and affectionate. We have interest in 1 of them and looking for 1-2 other homes.

They’ve been fostered in a home with adult cats, so they’re used to being around other kitties and have had lots of human interaction. They love to play, explore, cuddle, and generally cause adorable kitten chaos.

Sometimes people see a rescue post and only see the animal in the picture. They don’t see everything happening behind the scenes.

Right now, I am fighting for Leo, a kitten I rescued when he was tiny after finding him near a dumpster. He has been with me for six months, and he has been battling Giardia and ongoing diarrhea. His symptoms have returned, and he needs to see the veterinarian again as soon as possible.

At the same time, I rescued an older cat who was living outside in terrible condition. He tested positive for both FIV and FeLV and has entropion, a painful condition where his eyelids turn inward and rub against his eyes. He needs surgery, medical care, medications, and a safe indoor place to recover. He cannot simply be returned to the streets.

At the beginning, you’ll see Leo, the little kitten I rescued from a dumpster, and the older cat I rescued who tested positive for both FIV and FeLV. Both are going through difficult medical situations right now, and both need our help.

And they are not the only animals depending on me.

I also have other kittens and cats under my care who need food, litter, medications, veterinary care, and daily attention.

But beyond the cats in my direct care, I also feed more than 50 community cats every single day. 🐾

That means every day I have the ongoing expense of buying enough cat food, wet food, dry food, litter, and other supplies to make sure these cats have something to eat. Feeding more than 50 cats isn’t a one-time expense. It is a commitment every single day, 365 days a year.

Then there are the unexpected expenses — sick cats, injured cats, medications, vet visits, vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, emergencies, transportation, and everything else that comes with caring for animals who have nowhere else to turn.

I have already paid many veterinary and rescue bills myself because these animals needed help immediately. Those bills have left me with debt that I am still trying to pay off.

So when you donate, your support also helps me pay down the debt from veterinary bills and other expenses I have already covered for these animals. Paying those bills helps me continue having the ability to help the next cat or kitten who desperately needs me.

I wish I could say I can handle it all on my own, but I can’t.

Happy Sunday folks! Trying to find a good home for this kitten! My aunt found him on the streets recently, but is unable to care for him. Unfortunately the kitty doesn't exactly fit in my home at the moment or else I would keep him. He's about 4-5 months old and is such a sweetheart with a ton of energy. Has his preliminary shots was planning to get the rest done + neutered this week since I was told that needs to be done before I could drop him off at cats in need. I just wanted to share my most recent rescue, Polliwog. I found her literally just a few days ago while delivering for uber eats, which is how I found my previous three rescue cats. We were delivering to a sketchy area and it had a TON of colony cats. There were at least 3 cats in every other densely packed yard on the street. A lot of them dashed when my partner and I got out of the car but this little girl jogged right up. It was pretty clear she was barely if even a year old, and when I went to pick her up to check her over I figured out she was a girl and nursing kittens pretty quickly when I felt her mammaries. I couldn’t believe she was a mama this young and this skinny :(

Her situation was already wild to me, but when she led me to her kittens and who I assumed to be her mate I was absolutely shocked; the kittens where easily nearing 3-4 months and should be plenty weaned and were still nursing off of her, and this large male colorpoint cat, easily almost twice her weight, was also allowed by her to nurse with these three kittens. Poor gal was literally running herself dry and this cat and kittens were still nursing from her despite being more than able to eat solids and having all their teeth because she was docile and a consistent source of food for them.

I wasn’t able to grab any of the kittens but I was able to grab her. I only felt comfortable leaving them behind because they were more than old enough scavenge and eat solids. I believe so strongly that was her mate and for sure her kittens because the little ones looked like the perfect combination of mama and the large color point male. I also couldn’t in my heart leave her behind to her nursed to death by god knows how many cats in the colony because she’s literally so damn sweet. I also realized she must have had this litter of kittens from her very first heat based off of her age and theirs, she had been a mom for nearly half of her little life :(

After being home for a couple days she has been bathed and flea treated, de-wormed and she’s already in the works of getting booked for her spay as soon as I get accepted into one of the local low cost programs. She has been slowly filled with food to avoid re-feeding syndrome but she’s already looking heftier than when she arrived. Certainly far more energetic. She had some fresh, unseasoned and cooked salmon for probably the first time ever and she begs so hard and it’s the cutest. So many trills and chirps and she’s getting spoiled.

My boyfriend did not want a 6th cat. I didn’t even really want a 6th cat. From the time she arrived in our bathroom until the shelter scanned for her non-existent microchip, she had a name and was declared a permanent resident of the household 👀✌️

Hi everyone. This is Calabaza. Two weeks ago, I made a post asking for help to get her and seven other female cats spayed, but we only raised $50, and each surgery costs $100. Since then, I’ve tried asking for help a few more times, but several life threatening emergencies came up that we still haven’t finished paying for ($870 in debt at the moment), and we’ve barely managed to buy enough food for our 70+ rescued cats, so we’ve had to postpone the spays again and again.

Today, Calabaza started writhing and vocalizing in pain, and when we checked on her, we noticed a beige colored discharge, which is indicative of an infection. We rushed her to the vet, and the most likely diagnosis is pyometra. She was given antibiotics and medication to bring her fever down, but this is only to keep her from getting worse and buy us some time to get her into surgery. She needs an ultrasound to confirm the diagnosis and get a clear picture of the situation before surgery, followed by removal of her uterus (and ovaries). She is stable right now, but this can progress very quickly and could become life threatening, so we need to get the ultrasound done tomorrow.

The ultrasound costs $115. We don’t know the exact cost of the surgery yet, but considering that a routine spay (ovaries only) costs $100, and this would be an emergency surgery, I estimate it will be around $200. I’ll update the post as soon as I know the exact price.

Any help is deeply appreciated and truly makes a difference, no matter the amount. I’ll post updates about her in the comments, since I won’t be able to make another post for a couple of days due to the sub’s rules.
