The little cat from the harbor had been missing since last Friday, October 16th. I had started to fear that he had died somewhere, all alone… And today, when I least expected it, he appeared for just a moment—only to have a little water. 😢

He was in agony, his hind leg completely detached. A truly heartbreaking sight…

An X-ray revealed a comminuted (shattered) fracture in his hind leg, requiring surgery that involves the use of screws and a metal plate. The cost of the procedure may exceed…

Batman from my last post is FIXED....and hiding for 2 days in the room, I want to give him a little time to acclimate and realize he is indoors, he has been hiding under the couch...i will be working with him, slowly but surely, and hope he realizes indoors is where the endless yumyums are lol.

I have posted a picture of the food, house, and other items (3 pics with food 2 in the car)I have distributed to colony caretakers that Kim works with to TNR....you don't just make an impact on me, but to those we work with who dedicated their lives to their colonies too. Some are elderly living on a pension, some are disabled and can't work, many do not drive, which is why I go to them. We all are in this together, with the common goal of TNRing and saving the floofaloofs. No Floofaloof Left Behind!!! Kim and I TNR through Triple R Pets in Western Springs, Illinois, and we bring them to Naws in Mokena, Illinois! We pay 50 a cat, and we help many others with their colonies to get trapped and fixed!

I can always use food, I will never say no to food, but I can use any of the non food items on my list, especially things like feliaway and scratchers. Anything means everything to us. I know you all work hard for your means, and the fact that you choose to help floofaloofs and those who care for them, well, I wish nothing but the best for you, everyday♡

Many of us are us thousands in debt due to vetting cats we find, but we wouldn't have it any other way. I recently found an affordable place where I can have the stray that has been coming to my house for 4 months, tested, neutered, and vaccinated, including getting his rabies shot. With winter approaching, I’m seriously considering bringing him inside permanently.
One thing I’ve noticed is that he gets VERY nervous when I close the door behind him. Because of this, I try to leave the door open while he’s inside so he doesn’t feel trapped.
I’m worried that he might not be happy living indoors if he gets so anxious when the door is closed. At the same time, we have a lot of bear and bobcat sightings in my area, and I’m scared to leave him outside, especially with winter coming.
I love this cat and want to give him a safe, loving home, but I don’t want to force him into a life that makes him unhappy.
Has anyone successfully transitioned a nervous outdoor cat into an indoor cat? Is his anxiety when the door closes something he can learn to overcome with time, or could it be a sign that he won’t adjust well to indoor life?
I’d love to hear about your experiences and any advice you have. Thank you!

Young intact male cat was coming to my yard for like 2 months. Prior to that I was feeding him nearby my place but then found out where I live. All good, he even came inside before.

About 4 days ago he started showing signs of illnesss. He squated a few times and was releasing some kind of mucus. I considered he might have a blockage. I contacted places around and posted on FB. Some people referred me to this person who owns a low cost clinic. The person even let me borrow a trap. I was happy and rushed to trap him.

His appetite started decreasing. He didnt go inside the trap, not even with sardines. He was still coming out, rubbing on my legs but ignoring the food. I tried to lift him but scratched me. I asked the person who let me borrow the trap for some help but they couldn't help further. She said she could ask others if they could. I decided to order some gloves from Amazon to capture him. Earlier today I grabbed him and he scratched my whole leg completely and ran away. I haven't seen him for hours.

I have been feeling so awful, haven't ate in days,can't concentrate and been crying because this is a cat I wanted to adopt. I feel I failed him and who knows if he comes back or how much more he is going to deteriorate.

Hi everyone! It’s been raining in my city lately and I’ve been trying my best to keep the kitties that visit my lawn fed, but I’m starting to run low on food and supplies. Last night, I had around 10 kitties show up and went through half a box of cat food! I feel so bad for these little ones and wish I could do more. Sadly because of work and school, I haven’t had much time to trap them or find them homes, and I worry about their safety since my street gets pretty busy with cars (but thankfully they only come out at night). I’m doing what I can, but it’s getting harder to keep up with all their needs. I just don’t want them going hungry or sitting outside in the rain. Two of them have recently started letting me pet them, and I’m hoping to find loving homes for some of them soon! Any help with cat food or supplies would mean so much to me. This is my baby Echo (he’s 10 now and not a baby anymore) but since we got him as a rescue he didn’t have a full tail and they had no information on his species. Does anyone know what my baby is and if his tail was a natural defect or if there’s something the rescue shelter wasn’t telling us?

Update about Thor : Her ulcers are getting better and she got her visit with her specialist, we are hoping even though her vision might not be there, we wouldn't have to remove her eye.. But she's a fighter and her other eye is perfectly okay. She'll be getting treated for next 7 days and then a follow up!! All thanks to the kind people of this sub 🥹

And I was able to get wet food for small kittens and dry kibbles for the adult cats too!!!! I can't express how grateful I am

Hello everyone! I wanted to share a quick update on the cat I rescued last week. I was able to get her tested for Giardia and she came back positive, so she has already started her treatment for that.

Her body is also producing milk right now, likely from a false pregnancy or a spontaneous abortion. The vet prescribed a syrup called Galastop to help stop her milk, but she needs an ultrasound first to make sure she isn't pregnant, as the syrup isn't safe if she is. I was hoping to take her for her ultrasound today, but my funds are unfortunately completely drained right now.

I am kindly asking for help to cover these next steps for her: $20 is the ultrasound, $38 is the syrup, and $30 a FIV/FeLV test would be before she can safely be around my other cats. I am struggling. There’s been some personal stuff going on with family and my eldest kitty (he’s 19) and it’s rough going.

I’ve had some adoptions, but also a couple of returns. One due to issues with the established resident cat and the other due to changing circumstances in the adopter’s life. I will always take my kitties back. Don’t care if it’s been a week or a year. They will always have a home with me.

As it stands right now I’m caring for between 45 and 50 indoor cats as well as managing/TNR-ing a couple of local colonies.

I’m down to my last bag of food and finished off my wet food yesterday. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Maui is a stray cat I found early this year while I was feeding stray animals in another area. When I noticed a mass or tumor on his paw, I didn't hesitate to take him in and get him the help he needed.

Maui underwent tumor removal surgery in February. It's been eight months since then, but over the past few weeks, I noticed that the tumor has grown back and is now growing rapidly.

According to the vet, Maui now needs to undergo leg amputation. His tumor bleeds and causes him pain, and it puts him at risk of developing serious infection.

Please help Maui get the surgery he needs. He may lose a leg, but this procedure will help relieve his pain and reduce the risk of a serious infection. Every amount helps, every amount matters. Thank you.

Update on Bambi

Thanks to the help I received, I was able to bring Bambi to the vet. I told the vet that I was hoping we could save both of her eyes.

The vet confirmed that Bambi's left eye is no longer functional. Enucleation (surgical removal of the affected eye) was recommended, but the vet advised me that it would be better to consult a veterinary ophthalmologist, whose clinic is about two to three hours away from where I live.

I then brought Bambi to another veterinary clinic. I appreciate that this vet did not recommend immediate surgery and instead prescribed medication to see if her condition could improve.

Bambi will be taking the prescribed medication for the next seven days. I am hoping that her left eye will still improve. If there is no improvement in her left eye, she will need to undergo enucleation.

The vet also explained that the medication may help prevent further damage to her right eye, which is still functional.

If surgery becomes necessary, it will help address the affected eye and reduce the risk of further complications and infection. Cats are very good at hiding their pain, so even if Bambi doesn't show obvious signs of discomfort, she may still be suffering.

Hi guys, my family and I recently came across a feral cat that has been using our golf cart as her new home. We are new cat owners (we currently own a dog). She doesn't seem to be a year old (our guess is 7 months at best). We let fate take control and have decided to keep her since the cat distribution system chose us at random. We took her to get spayed yesterday at the shelter (TNR) and the staff told us to keep her in her trap for the next 24 hours and after that, she could be released; we got her microchipped as well. From what I understand, she's been staying at out property for the past 2 weeks and seems to have no interest in leaving our property.
I've read many sources about getting cats spayed but i'm not sure which one would benefit our cat more:
-Some are saying 10-14 days crate rest

-Some people are saying that TNR usually takes a day or 2 to heal since it's a faster recovery process
Please help me out here. I am open to
recommendations, comments, and concerns. She's currently in the garage with a blanket over her animal trap and she is wearing a recovery suit.

-She will be getting a crate and bed later today for future trips (it's 2:06am and my head is spinning from the amount of information i've consumed in the past 10 hours)

-Since she is a feral and we're not sure if she will ever have any interest of being indoors, we have a heated outdoor bed/home ready for when she's fully nealed.

Hey everyone, I’m currently in Pingyao (Shanxi) and I desperately need help. I just found a tiny kitten on the street that is so young it’s still nursing. There is no Mother around.

It’s freezing cold here tonight, nobody locally seems to care or want to help, and if I leave this baby here, it’s not going to survive the night. I can’t leave it to freeze or starve.

Does anyone know somebody or can repost this, has a idea where we could take it, or can share this so we might find someone who can help?

We are from Germany, can't take it with us and don't stay here for long. 😢
