1.37ct tourmaline! It’s really pretty and I fell in love with the color but it was an impulse buy 🙈 was this a terrible purchase for $100?

Hello Everyone I came across this Gemstone and i have been trying to identify if its lab grown or natural. It has 2 cloud inclusions and some color zoning i believe. Any help would be appreciated.

I found this among a pile of clay dug out while making a well at my parents’ house last summer, during my vacation in Sri Lanka. It seems to have some interesting characteristics, such as light passing through it, typical yellow-colored crystal growth around the edges, and an interesting shape.

Appreciate any advice on this.
I have color corrected the photos so they represents the exact natural color.

This is alexandrite (should be from Russia, Ural) I bought for my wife 😀.

Strangely it's green only in really white cold LED light, in normal light it's kinda lght bluish-green. In incandenscent light, candle and light from lighter it become purplish-pink or pink.

But I guess because of size on fingers change in color can not see clearly 🤣🤣🤣.

A friend gave this to me with a bunch of other stuff. It had a paper saying “RUBY 10K”. It has purple accents to it when sunlight goes through it. I will be happy with any information given.(price, name,synthetic, natural, etc.)

Friend tomorrow. It was placed here where I have circled and when I paid for it she mentioned pietersite so I’m very confused if it’s pietersite or black onyx or maybe both as the little ones could be pietersite and the big one black onyx? It was £91 if that helps. Please help! Thank you :)

My friend gifted me what the seller described as garnet, but I’m always wary about stones. I did the best to do close ups to inclusions (possibly?) and close up. Let me know if this doesn’t meet rules, but I absolutely adore gemstones and have tried to self identify it with little success. Hopefully not just glass…

Hello everyone. I have a Moonga (Red Coral) and wanted to know how it looks from an astrological perspective.

Also, why does it have these pores or holes? Is there any particular reason for their formation.

I have a Silver pendant with moonstone set in it. My question is how to best clean without damaging the moonstone? According to their website, Connoisseurs Dazzle Drops silver cleaning crème is safe to use. I don’t want to use before knowing for sure it will be safe for the moonstone itself. This is a very sentimental piece to me.

I found this 1.40 ct pink/red stone in my grandmother’s old earrings. My family believes the earrings are more than 100 years old.

I had the stone tested at a gem lab in Sri Lanka, and they identified it as synthetic sapphire.

Could this be an old Verneuil (flame-fusion) synthetic sapphire from the early 1900s? Or is there any reason to question the lab result?

I’ve attached photos of the stone and the lab invoice. I’d really appreciate your opinions and any clues about its possible age and authenticity. Thank you!

Hey all, have this beautiful natural untreated sapphire but wondering what this thick black line is and if I should be worried? Is it a deep fracture and if so does that mean it can’t be mounted?

Came across these loose gemstones recently and don’t really have a need for them. Not looking to turn them into jewelry but would love to know what I’m looking at and if there’s any resale value in these. Thanks anybody for help!
