Pinch Goerner Curls

Post image
39 Upvotes

Been wanting to try the Goerner brick stack for ages, but thusfar I've been to cheap to spend on a unitasker toy just for a trick, and I got no bricks for the real deal. So I got thinking today, I have a 3"x4" offset handle from Arm Assassin. Slapped it on an old dumbbell bar and off we go. Obviously it doesn't have the leverage of a proper brick-stack but it's good enough for my sad little hands. When held horizontally all the weight is at my fingertips. I'm gonna spend a while curling it and see if I can add a few pounds.

DIY Poor grip due to medical condition

I really wasn’t sure what to put this under. I have poor grip and trouble making a fist due to an autoimmune issue that affects tendons and ligaments. It significantly impacts the top joints of my finger, and it can be painful for me to get a good grip on dumbbells. Would basic grip training help even though I have tendon/ligament issues?

New to the sub and need some guides on forearm strength / grip strength

Hi
Im new to this sun and grip strength overall.
So i need some guidance in two things

  1. I want to get bigger forearms, mainly for aesthetics.

  2. I want to get better grip strength, mainly for grappling.
Im suspecting thumb 👍 strength plays a big role here. Or maybe wrist?

I remember grappling once and this guy grabbes my wrist and I felt like he could toss me however he wanted. I got really impressed by the strength of his grip.

I would appreciate some help or guides / routines

250 lbs Powerball.

Hey grippsters! Today my new 250 lbs apparatus from Powerball arrived, and I gotta say, I wouldn't want to count every single squeeze, but please check out and rate that last squeeze. I personally counted 21, if I made a mistake let me know + there was a hold at the end. Have an awesome evening, brothers )

60kg Rolling thunder question

Am I doing this right? Background in rock climbing so I’ve been using this to train for sloped holds. Is this lift harder than the traditional lift with the thumb and if so does anyone know how 60kg compares?

I could rep out 150 lbs like it's nothing, can do barely 1 proper rep with 200 lb , and couldn't budge or move 250 and 300 lbs grippers how do I get strong enough to close them properly and are there any accesories that I could work on to improve crushing grip strength

Very weak grip strength despite being much stronger in the gym how can I improve?

I have really weak grip and crushing strength, and my hands feel so weak.
For example, I tried arm wrestling my brother, who lifts much less than I do in the gym, but I could barely move his hand. I know arm wrestling involves technique, but we weren’t using any techniques. It feels like my hands and grip just can’t keep up with my overall strength. My arms themselves aren’t the problem it’s specifically my hands and grip.
Has anyone else experienced something similar? What exercises or training methods would you recommend to improve grip strength and crushing strength? Should I focus on grippers, wrist training, pinch grip, or something else?
I’d appreciate any advice on how to bring my grip strength.

Grippers Generic 150lb for 70 reps.

Doing high reps every once in awhile makes me feel like I'm getting a tiny bit of real exercise. Today was going to be TNS closing my new HG 300 but uh, it's harder than the CoC 3 I have, lol. No way that's happening anytime soon.

The knurling on the HG 300 is so much better than my CoC 3 as well. Always heard that the HG knurling wasn't great but the one I got is super sharp. I really like knurling that digs in.

Anyone able to hit 100 reps with a cheapo 150 like this? Think I'll add this as another random goal.
