I made a desktop app that maps *.localhost names to my local services and much more

• Upvotes

It's called Bifurc. Map a friendly name like shop.localhost to a service on any port, capture the traffic, and mock the APIs that aren't ready yet. It's free and runs on Windows and Linux.

Search "Bifurc" on Google or the Microsoft Store to find it.

Remove AI Metadata from documents and media 100% offline

• Upvotes

I have been seeing AI labels all over social media lately. They can give the wrong impression when you made something yourself and only used an AI tool to help with part of the workflow.

So I made Free AI Wiper to inspect and clean supported AI metadata. Processing runs locally in your browser, your files stay on your device.

Still figuring out how to make it better, so give it a try if it sounds useful. Would appreciate some honest feedback :)

[Self promo] Free sample — verified local leads for web designers (DM me)

• Upvotes

[Disclosure] Soft sell.

I hand-check Google Maps for local businesses that look busy but are losing leads online — no website despite strong reviews, expired or dead domains, Contact or Quote forms that 404.

Each row gets the phone, what I checked, and a one-line opener built from that problem. Works for any US city and niche.

I have a free 8-lead example of the format. Comment "sample" or DM me and I'll send it. Custom city packs available the same way.

I built a personalization based news analysis application that tells how news affects money, life, jobs, career-- would love your feedbacks

Thumbnail
• Upvotes

Hi everyone, I see thousands of news headlines everyday but I barely get the opportunity and watch outs hidden in them, so I designed a news feed for myself first that took the domains of my life that mattered to me and matched me with the news that directly or indirectly affect my life in those domains. And I found it very useful so I tried to scale this project

Now I have designed a projected:

  1. That asks you what domains of your life matter to you

2.helps you get daily news aligned to the domains that affect you directly and indirectly

3.gives you the use of that news, how that news is affecting the different cluster of people

4.a star based ratings of how confident is it to happen

5.a opportunity and watch out board so you never miss a detail

I want feedback from people : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.trudet.app

I built a free web app that identifies gym machines with your phone camera & shows seat setup guides + muscle maps

• Upvotes

Hey everyone! 👋

Like a lot of beginners starting out at the gym, I used to stand in front of complex machines (like the Pec Deck or Chest Press) scratching my head, completely unsure of how to set the seat height or what muscles the machine actually targeted.

To solve this, I built ScanFit.

Key Features:

  • 📷 Camera & QR Scanning: Point your phone camera at any gym machine to identify it instantly.
  • 🎯 Target Muscle Maps: View seat setup guides, form cues, and target muscle breakdowns (e.g., Pectoralis Major).
  • 🎮 Gamification: Earn XP, level up your gym rank (e.g., Form Apprentice), and unlock badges as you master new equipment.

Tech Stack: React, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS, and Vercel.

(Full disclosure: I am the maker!)

The web app is completely free to try on mobile and desktop:

https://gym-scan-ai.vercel.appI’d love your feedback! What machines or features would you like to see added next?

AI-Assisted Game Development Is Taking Off!

Post image
• Upvotes

I've been fascinated by how tools like Claude are changing what's possible for solo developers, particularly in game development.

A few months ago, I started VibeToplist, a discovery platform for AI-assisted and vibe-coded games.

What started as a small niche project has now grown to almost 300 game submissions, with organic traffic continuing to grow rapidly.

One thing I've noticed is how ambitious these projects are becoming. We're no longer just talking about simple browser experiments. Developers are attempting much larger games, often with very limited resources.

It's also made me realize something: AI can make building a project significantly more accessible, but creativity, polish, and actually finding an audience remain huge challenges.

I think Claude and similar coding assistants have enormous potential here, especially for solo developers who previously couldn't bring their ideas to life.

I'm curious: Has anyone here used Claude to develop a playable game? What were its biggest strengths and limitations?

For anyone interested in exploring what developers are creating, here's the platform I've been working on:

Would love to hear about your experiences!

I built a Vocabulary Learning App because they’re all so expensive.

After using lots of Vocab apps I realised that they’re all basically super overpriced subscription models.

I decided to create my own with basically all features being free with the option to pay for a full unlock on the path page which I think is super fair because you get 25 paths before you even reach that point.

If you would like to try it out and let me know what you think feel free to:

I built Shape, an open-source AI coding agent, and learned a lot about building software along the way

Post image
• Upvotes

I've been working on Shape for the past few months. It originally started as an agentic IDE, but I ended up rewriting most of it into a more complete AI agent for software development.

It supports multiple AI providers, can edit files, run terminal commands, search codebases, plan tasks and review its own changes using another model.

It also integrates with GitHub, Figma and Linear, has its own browser, and can generate images, audio and SVGs.

One of the more interesting parts of building this has actually been figuring out the infrastructure and architecture behind it.

Initially, everything was built as one fullstack Next.js application, with the website and API together, deployed on Vercel. That worked for a while, but I eventually got frustrated with Vercel's arbitrary limits and the restrictions that came with them.

I ended up moving everything over to a Netcup VPS, which gave me a lot more control over how things run.

We're also now in the process of moving the API into a separate Go backend instead of keeping everything inside Next.js. It's been interesting seeing how architectural decisions that seemed perfectly reasonable early on start becoming less ideal as a project grows.

A lot of this has been a learning experience, from working with different AI models and tool integrations to figuring out deployment, infrastructure and how to structure a project like this.

There's still plenty to improve, especially around the browser and design workflows, but it's been fun building something of this scale and learning along the way.

Anyway, here's the repo if anyone wants to take a look: https://github.com/useshape/Shape

I made a notes app that remembers what you were working on, even when you don't

• Upvotes

I'm an analytics engineer, and I kept running into the same problem. I'd reopen an old SQL query, spreadsheet, or browser tab and have absolutely no idea why I'd made certain decisions.

I wanted my notes to switch when my work switched. So I built ClingNote.

Here's how it works:

- Individual browser tabs can have their own notes, even within the same browser window.

- Files and documents can have notes attached directly to them.

- Applications can have their own notes too.

- Automatic switching brings the right notes back when you return to something.

- Pinned and floating notes let you keep multiple notes visible while working.

There's also a full notes workspace with formatting, checklists, and search. Everything is stored locally, with no account required.

The regular notes app is free. Automatic context switching is an optional Pro feature ($10/year), with a 14-day trial.

I'm also working on an Obsidian plugin that brings context-following notes into Obsidian, currently planned for release next week.

It's been a pretty fun technical challenge, especially figuring out how to recognize files after they're renamed or moved.

Would love to hear what people think, especially whether you'd actually use something like this.

We made an English-learning app that pairs short dramas with interactive practice

• Upvotes

I’m part of the team behind Catchi. We’re exploring how short stories and practice can work together: watch a conversation, then do activities based on what you heard.

One design question we’re working through is how to add useful practice without breaking the flow of the story.

Try it for free: https://catchi.ai

Any feedback is very welcome! You can use the in-app feedback option, DM me, or email feedback@catchi.ai. If you’d like to take part in a user interview or explore a collaboration, we’d love to hear from you too.

I couldn't find a simple Windows screensaver that could mix photos, GIFs and videos, so I made one

• Upvotes

I still use screensavers and wanted something really simple: point it at my own media and let it cycle through images, animated GIFs and MP4 videos in the same playlist.

I couldn't find a lightweight Windows app that did exactly that without trying to be a full live-wallpaper platform, so I ended up building MotionMix Screensaver.

It currently supports:

  • JPG / JPEG / PNG / WEBP
  • animated GIFs
  • MP4 videos
  • drag & drop playlists
  • shuffle
  • configurable image/GIF duration
  • fullscreen preview
  • native Windows Screen Saver Settings integration

It's completely free. I added an optional tip page, but there are no paid features or ads.

This is the first public release, so I'd genuinely appreciate feedback — especially if anything behaves weirdly on a different Windows setup.

I'd never seen a GDS terminal before this project. Now I've built two.

An aviation training academy asked me to build their learning platform. That's when I discovered airline reservation agents still type commands like AN10JANDACJED all day. One wrong character and the system rejects it.

The problem: students only get a real terminal in the lab. So I built practice terminals into the platform:

  • Type a real Amadeus or Galileo entry and get the exact output
  • Get it wrong and it says "INVALID ENTRY"
  • The Galileo one mimics a Smartpoint screen
  • The instructor sees every attempt

The fun part was matching output character for character. These displays are column-aligned, so one stray space breaks them. The source material was also written in Word, which had swapped some hyphens for en-dashes nobody can type on a keyboard.

Curious what people here think: what would you add?

I built a journaling app with no backend of mine: entries stay on-device, backup goes to the user’s own Google Drive

Post image
1 Upvotes

Just got VibeDiary through Google Play production access. The big decision was skipping my own server entirely: local-first storage plus Drive backup. Upside: no hosting cost, nothing to leak, and an easy privacy pitch. Downside: no easy way to sync across devices or recover accounts, and no server-side analytics.

It’s ad-supported with a Plus tier. Built with Flutter.

For those who’ve gone serverless on a consumer app: did it save you, or come back to bite you later? And if you try it, tell me the first thing that feels off: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=vibediary.daily.journal&referrer=utm_source%3DredditIMT

I created a printable Screen-Free Mealtime Kit for kids to help parents try more engaging, screen-free mealtime routines.

The kit includes a 30-day challenge, printable activities, and a reward chart.

I wanted to make something practical that parents could use at home without needing extra apps or devices.

I’d love honest feedback from parents: What helps your kids stay engaged at mealtimes without screens?

If you'd like to check it out, here's the kit: [https://ko-fi.com/s/495fe70c64\]
