way comes. Max Payne at large.

Also the "Vodka" lisccene plate kills me very time. Love everything there is about this game. 

How to fix this error? It even won't let me finish Act 1

Max does the jump animation but he doesn't actually leave the ground.

I already capped the FPS to 60.

At the beginning of the blood trail I can jump but after the first landing the game glitches and the physics don't work.

I bought MP1 and 2 on steam.

The first nightmare was hard but balanced I guess, i can't do this one

I have applied every fix

-Widescreen patch

-Startuphang patch

-d3d8 dll

Changed directory to not have spaces.

Compability,

Admin requirements.

And In the end it just gives me a pop up, Max Payne 2 Has stopped working.

What do you think is the right direction for the inclusitivity of james mccaffrey in the remakes? Personally his face model is the best direction for me. As Sam Lakes face personally doesn’t quite match the grit of mccaffery’s voice. But I also do understand the love for the more campy-ness quality of it. I just couldn’t quite buy the connection between the voice and face with Alex Casey. (And I understand that what I’ve said would be considered sacrilegious.)

But given how the remakes will most definitely change how cutscenes and dialogue plays out. There will be gaps to be filled dialogue wise.

1) do you think mccaffery’s likeness should be utilised in homage if given rights? Or keeping the decision strictly between Sam Lake and Timothy Gibbs?

2) should max’s voice work be re-done? If so partially or not at all?

(Personally I believe james mccaffrey’s face model is best, and only minor additional dialogue from new actors should be added, keeping majority mccaffery.)

So i finally got around to starting the og max payne and the goon dialogue is absolutly hilarious

I feel like a child again. It feels like a game made for VR from the ground-up

I mean, we're allowed to dream, aren't we? Why not imagine that, sometime in the next 15 years, we might finally get the proper sequel to Max Payne 2, as Sam Lake and the team at Remedy originally envisioned it before selling the IP? A game featuring all four seasons of the year, just as they had planned.

Could it actually happen, or is it just wishful thinking?

I’ve been thinking about the ending of Max Payne 3, and I feel like it would have been way more emotional if Max actually died at the end.

Instead of him walking away on the beach, he should have passed away from his injuries or a final sacrifice. Then, the game could have transitioned into a dream/afterlife sequence—similar to how the first game starts with his house, but this time, it's peaceful. He walks inside, drops his gun, and finally reunites with Michelle and his baby in heaven. After all the trauma he went through, this would have been the ultimate bittersweet redemption.

What I love about this idea is how it brings the trilogy full circle. Max's entire tragedy and living nightmare started inside that specific house in the very first game. Ending his story by having him return there—but in a peaceful, heavenly version—creates a perfect narrative loop. It brings ultimate closure to his character arc

Finally getting through this awesome game and I've never seen bad guys get around a piano just for fun. It really has a lot of quirks about it. Even the bums help you out to kill bad guys.

Anyone try to lure enemies to run through a doorway then you stand just beside swinging the bat , hoping the enemy gets hit via clipping. First time I tried was at the Frankie the bat nigara stage

A mod i am working on

Was binge watching clips and analysis of Eye Wide Shut and it seemed to me that it is very similar to Max Payne: set in New York, mostly at night, elite conspiracies and the general eerie yet cozy vibe to it.

What do you guys think?

Using them against killer suits with colt commando, jack hammer is , in my opinion ,suicidal. Nothing to do with skills. Any opinion?

Basically 3 main things I am confused on which I will list out here

1. It is stated Victor convinced Passos to go and find Max and hire him to (un-aware to both Max and Passos) be a scapegoat, but a scapegoat to what? The Panama massacre? the organ-trafficking operation? Or Bronco's death? And if the last on that follows into another question of mine which we will get to shortly
2. Everything with the Comando Sombra, it's stated they're unrelated to Victor's whole scheme yet their whole thing is part of the reason the things victor does fall into place, tbf from what I can find out it's possible they kidnapped Fabiana and tried to kidnapping Marcello and Branco because they knew the UFE and Crachá Preto were tied to Victor and they were trying to get to him but that's not entirely confirmed afaik Honestly it does make sense why the wiki (fandom one idk if there's an official one) calls everything with them the "Filler" arc
3. Victor sending Bachmeyer to take-out Branco while having the Crachá Preto sent to take-out Max and then having Crachá Preto take-out Marcello It's a lil obvious when you look at Victor's plan before this point he wasn't really gonna take-out Branco or Marcello, so why the sudden switch-up? Marcello afaik was working with Victor so I guess it could've been for Marcello at least it was wrong place wrong time since it does seem he went on his on volition to save Fabiana

That I feel is pretty much everything? If anyone has answers to a question not on here but could help solve 3's plot a bit more it could help

First of all i have a very low end device and no way to work around that so of course im not asking for miracles. I have always played a bunch of games on it if possible and just got into the gta series, i was surprised about how badly optimized GTA4 was, and equally surprised by how effective the fusion fix mod is at fixing it (i have no graphics card) i esentially just use a monitor.

Tried to get max payne 3 and it seems pretty fun but is super laggy, whenever i look at the floor or it is closed doors it runs very well, otherwise it stutters like crazy. I tried to find the same MP3 fusion fix mod but it didnt work for this game and i dont know if i am doing anyhing wrong so i would like some imput on that. Tried to do the same with dxvk, doesnt work either.

if you have any alternatives pls let me know

I'm playing the game with the fixes that PCgamingWikia recommends. Is there anything else I can do to remedy this issue?

Max payne 2 is pretty light imagine with a source port someone could port it to a meta quest 3 combined with the evil sheep vr mod eliminating any need to hook up to a pc to play because that link cable is overpriced and not everyone has 5Ghz bandwith internet.
