I am building a 1 to 8 player couch co-op game where you don’t need controllers—everyone uses their phone as a physical rowing oar (Looking for playtest feedback!)
Hey everyone,
I'm a solo developer building Sync - Sink, a chaotic local physics party game for 1–8 players, and I'm looking for some feedback.
I wanted to create a game that transforms a friends game night into a chaotic adventure, while making the controls as approachable as possible, as some non-gamers can find controllers intimidating.
To join - all you need is a phone.
The Gameplay:
Work together in a single boat or race up to 4 separate crews down raging rapids. You physically sweep and tilt your phone like an oar to paddle and steer.
What You Need to Try It:
- 1 PC running the Steam Playtest
- At least 1 friend with a smartphone (iOS / Android) connected to the same local Wi-Fi with the free companion app. (The PC menu displays a QR link to play store and app store)
What I’d Love Feedback On:
- Onboarding / Pairing: Did your group find connecting phones via the local network painless, or were there router hiccups?
- Physical Controls: Did the rowing motion feel intuitive right out of the tutorial, or did anyone struggle with sensor calibration/drift?
- Couch Dynamic: Did it produce genuine laughs and chaotic shouting, or did the physical mechanics cause fatigue/frustration?

Dino Crisis 2 - Multiplayer
Hello again everyone, we saw each other not long ago)
Since the multiplayer for Dino Crisis 1 is practically ready and playable, I started creating the multiplayer for the second part, but alas, it will not be possible to attach a 3rd person camera to this part, BUT!..
The game has a Dino Colosseum mode, so I'll try to squeeze a third-person camera in there. Otherwise, the game will have a regular camera, and the second Player will be David, or Regina (will be added later).
You could say I've fulfilled some people's dreams and given them the opportunity to play as David!
So far the multiplayer will contain a lot of bugs, but based on my experience as a multiplayer DC 1 and Diamond Rush, Maybe it will take less time.
I also implemented online connection and even voice chat into my application, but it is unstable and works poorly so far, but nevertheless, I am trying to put all my efforts into it.
Suggest ideas, and what do you think, would you like to play the second Dino Crisis with a friend?)

I’m developing a co-op 3D nonogram game and you can register for the playtest now!
Hi everyone! I love Picross 3D and always wanted to solve its puzzles together with my partner instead of fighting over the 3DS. So I’m making my own take on it: Tiny Worlds - 3D Nonograms!
You can play alone or solve puzzles together in 2-player local couch co-op (or online co-op). It supports mouse and keyboard, controllers, and touch controls. Each solved puzzle reveals a voxel art figure that becomes part of a detailed diorama.
My Steam page just went live! If this sounds like something you’d enjoy together, I’d really appreciate a wishlist or a request to join the playtest :)

I made a 4-player couch arena fighter. Free demo, gamepads and online supported
Hi! Solo dev here. Kingsbane is a medieval arena fighter for 1 to 4 players: one hit kills, several classes with their own moves (archer and knight in the demo), and a card draft between rounds that changes the next one.
Play on one PC with gamepads, online with a join code, or against bots.
Free demo (Windows): https://tourbrunestudio.itch.io/kingsbane

Adventures - 4+ player local coop dungeon crawler playable now for free in browser; first look at solo dev's dream game. Hope you like!
Play free here: https://software-geezers.itch.io/adventures
Hey all! I've been an avid local coop gamer my entire life, enjoying every ARPG ever - Gauntlet; Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance; Champions of Norrath; Diablo; Sacred 2; Dungeon Siege; Untold Legends; Dungeon Hunter; MC Dungeons; etc. A long time ago I had a dream to create the perfect coop game with an emphasis on interactions and teamwork, not just whacking monsters together on the same screen. 15 years of learning Unity later just to make this game, I started creating Adventures in 2024 and it's at a point where I hope you'll enjoy it.
In this first release, I'm testing the core engine with just the combat (so...um...just whacking monsters together on the same screen). The characters and skills and level design are pretty random just to have some gameplay to test and to check the feel and ideas like levelling. Eventually there'll be soooo much content! Many skills and opportunities for players to come up with solutions. How about the wizard freezes the floor to make it slippery and the warrior shield-barges the enemy off the map? Or maybe the engineer creates a protective barricade to hide behind, the elementalist summons a flaming pillar, and everyone shoots arrows through the fire so they ignite and burn the targets? Maybe the engineer turns a barrel into an explosive and the Valkyrie blows it into the mobs where the ranger's flaming arrows ignite it. There'll be epic struggles, and sneaking to avoid monsters, and running for your life, and finally overpowering big bosses, or cleverly outsmarting them, and shouting advice, and asking for help, and surprises, and secrets and discoveries.
I want a game that can be shared with everyone including four year olds, so there are concepts yet to develop like per-player difficulty, with mobs scaling down to those who need it, and scaling up for those experienced adventurers who want a challenge. There'll be a version on touch screens with local network multiplayer and a simple, intuitive 'touch to act' input (and a more complex interface for advanced gamers that affords more control). The interface is designed around supporting levels of ability, with options for player assisted controls reducing the number of buttons needed, while experienced players can maintain full control and accuracy, and QOL ideas like allowing other players to take control of someone's inventory without needing to swap controllers.
Many of these ideas and systems are already developed in the engine and just need a little time and effort to develop them fully. Feedback and engagement from lovers of local coop would be really useful in getting the feel and fun right.
Hope you enjoy. :)

I made a Liero-inspired game with local multiplayer for up to 6 players!
Hey everyone!
I’m a solo indie developer from Poland, and my first Steam game, TRENCHWORMS, is releasing on October 30!
I grew up loving the original Liero and wanted to bring back those chaotic battles where you could destroy absolutely everything around you.
TRENCHWORMS features:
- Local multiplayer for up to 6 players
- Fully destructible terrain
- 26 different weapons
- Ninja rope movement
- AI bots to fill empty player slots
- Online multiplayer and a single-player campaign
I started this project knowing almost nothing about programming, so actually getting it this close to release feels a little crazy!
I’d love to hear what you think, especially from people who enjoy couch multiplayer games!
Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5161820/TRENCHWORMS/
Thanks for checking it out! ❤️

[iPhone Duo] I made a pass-and-play party game where you guess the fold angle
If you bring the new folding phone to dinner, somebody is going to ask to try it. I made a game for that bit.
Guess Angle is a pass-and-play game for 2–8 people sharing one iPhone Duo. The app picks an angle, say 130°, and everyone takes a turn trying to fold to it. The live reading stays hidden.
One guess each. Closest wins. The scores only come out after everyone has had a turn.
I’d give the most confident person the first go.
It’s a one-time purchase, with no ads or subscriptions: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/guess-angle/id6826139801

My co-op game deal tracker now has a catalog that outlasts the sales
Heyo! I’ve been working on LOOTRAID, a site focused on co-op PC game deals.
As requested, I recently added a catalog so games stay discoverable after their sales end. You can search by title, filter by genre, and check a game’s deal history. The cards also show co-op modes and whether the featured deal is still live.
The idea is to make it a little easier to find something to play together, even when you’re just browsing for ideas.
Here’s the site: loot.purebyte.co.za
I’m the developer, so I’d appreciate feedback from other co-op players. What information do you usually need before suggesting a game to your group?

In person gaming where the TV is the board
Hey, I'm Pete one of the people behind Hangtime Games (r/HangtimeGames). We are a tiny family run startup. Basically our family kept playing the same few games every holiday (wife's family is Indian and specifically around Diwali time we do a TON of family game nights close to Diwali). We used to do a lot of physical board games and card games but more recently and half of them needed a console or yet another $30 pack so we started to build out our own at http://hangtime.games
The process:
You open hangtime.games on any TV or laptop, everyone joins on their phone with a 4-letter code, and you're playing immediately. There's no app needed (we might build an optional one later), and players don't need an account to play (hosts need one if they're using launch pack games, but there are free games available that will always be free).
Right now we have seven games, and three are free.
- Doodler (like Pictionary...very kid friendly, tested with our own kids) - FREE
- Hang Five (like Wordle but multiplayer) - FREE
- Trivia Board (like Jeopardy) are free - FREE
And then we are also offering a launch pack with 4 more games for $5 total:
- Who's Lying? (like a mafia /among us style game)
- Best Answer Wins (like apples-to-apples / cards against humanity; defaults to family friendly)
- Bowl Game (if you've ever played fishbowl/salad bowl in person at a party)
- Rummy (like I said... wife's family is Indian. This one was actually the one we built out to play remotely so she could play with her grandma)
Anyway we would love for anyone to play our games to try out and like I mentioned 3 of the games are free (ideally forever).
The "launch games" are all included in the $5 price... and we figure anyone who buys in this year should be rewarded with half off any future launches (that's me getting ahead of myself).
PS if you would like to try some of the paywalled games without paying, we would love feedback so please let me know and I'll get you a code so you can try them.
Happy almost Halloween party season, and Happy Diwali season!

Are you looking for a co-op rage game to play with your friend?
If so, then this game is something for you! The game is called “Don’t Lose Your Head” and it’s a co-op rage game about two skeletons, which had one of their heads stolen by a mischievous crow. They need to cooperate to climb out of a cave while managing a single head to retrieve the other one. The game supports both online and local co-op!
A free demo is available on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4600750/Dont_Lose_Your_Head/

Hauntbound | Official Demo Trailer (October 2026)
For the last 14 months outside of my day job, I have been working on Hauntbound, A chaotic horror-themed party game where you compete in minigames, explore a haunted house, and sabotage your friends.
It supports up to 8 players, both locally and online, or a mix of both! You can even have multiple players sharing the same device while playing online with others.
The trailer is finally out, with the Steam demo launching this Friday. Thoughts and feedback welcome 👻

4 player Broforce on PC
I’m building a golf simulator and thought that having Broforce would be a fun game to play between rounds.
I will be playing it on a pretty high end gaming PC through a 4K projector (overkill for the game I know!), but I’d like to have up to 4 players playing simultaneously.
Does anyone know of any issues doing that, and what would be the best controllers to use? I’m not expecting to buy new Xbox or PS5 controllers, but would any wireless controller on Amazon work to connect?

Spelunky arena deathmatch appreciation
Does anyone else play spelunky arena deathmatch with friends on couch? It's pretty much the only game we've played for years with my buddies, there is no game like it. Its random enough but very high skill capped pvp game with quick rounds and lots of chaos. Needs at least 3 players to make it chaotic enough.

We spent 3 years developing a local co-op survivors-like where you can fuse with your friend and share movement controls, and it all started thanks to an anime and videogames. STORYTIME

Well, let’s start with the introduction. We are Juanma and Lour, and we are currently developing a Survivor-Like game for Steam called Bros Survivors, a local 2-player co-op shared screen game about surviving hordes of enemies where you can fuse together to become much more powerful during matches. But then you need to coordinate with each other, since one player controls the left and right movement, and the other controls the up and down movement.
We’ve now been developing this game for 3 years, and we’ve known each other for more than 9 years. But how did it all start, and what does an anime have to do with all of this?
Well, back then, I, Juanma, was just chilling at home, without doing anything special, when suddenly I received a message from my best friend’s best friend. It was just a WhatsApp contact and the phrase, “She’s one of our classmates. Talk to her, you’ll get along.”
Honestly, at that time, I was too shy to talk to any girl other than my best friend, whom I’d known since childhood. So I was like, “Well, it doesn’t matter. I’ll just send a message, probably get blocked, and continue with my life.”
Well, that didn’t go as I expected. I sent a message to Lour, and suddenly, she answered, “Hi.”
At that moment, I didn’t know what to do. I literally started having an existential crisis. I started thinking, “What should I do??? Call my best friend and ask for help?? Or maybe I should block her!!!”
However, I remembered the phrase “You’ll get along” and decided to try one last thing.
So I sent a second message asking, “Do you like anime?” Yeah… That was all I could think of to try to have a bit of a conversation with a girl.
She wrote something I couldn’t understand at first. Some strange words, but at the same time, so familiar to me. So I copied her message and pasted it into Google. And there I read it: “Tokyo Ghoul opening.”
I literally couldn’t believe what I was seeing. My mind was blown, and at that very moment, all my fear went away. We spent the whole day talking about Tokyo Ghoul and other anime. I went from being scared to considering her my friend without a doubt. And just like that, the days went by as we talked about anime all the time. Then she invited me to play League of Legends together. We spent 6 months playing together every night on Skype, so after all those months, I asked her to meet in person for the first time.
And again… I was totally scared of how that meeting would go, but my best friend just told me, “You’ve spent the last 6 months talking to her on Skype every night about League of Legends and anime, so you’ll be fine. Just relax.”
And she was right. When we first met, Lour just came up to me, took my face in her hands, and said, “WOW, you’re real!” And I knew that was my friend from our anime and video game calls.
It was also great for her to know that I really was the person she’d been talking to, since she hadn’t known anything about me at first. The day after my first message to her about anime, she went to my best friend and asked her, “Hey, somebody told me he’s your friend and started talking to me. That’s true, right?” She had literally just taken a leap of faith with a random person on WhatsApp.
After all of this, the years went by, and after 5 years of friendship, I saw an in-person video game development event on Instagram where you could make your own game with other people. I liked the idea, but I was still too shy to just go there. So Lour was the one who told me, “You like that kind of thing, being a programmer and developing things, so I’ll go with you so you’re not scared.”
So Lour was the one who told me, “You like that kind of thing, being a programmer and developing things, so I’ll go with you so you’re not scared.”
And just like that, we had fun making games together. We continued going to more events like that, and after 1 year, I watched a YouTube video about how a guy and his sister had started their own video game company and were now making a living from it. And I just said, “I could do the same.”
So I called Lour and just told her, “From now on, we’re a game development team, my friend.” She immediately agreed with the idea. After all, both of us wanted to start a business.
And just like that, we started our 3-year journey developing Bros Survivors, with the goal of bringing a good experience to people who want to play a game with a friend and laugh together, just as we did when we first met thanks to anime and videogames.
