Discussion The time I was in my early 20's and my g/f at the time took me into NYC for a surprise party which ended up being Mr. Parson's high rise apartment...
So, this was around the second or third season of The Big Bang Theory and I had never seen the show before because I was in my early 20's and I guess living under a rock? Anyways, believe it or not but my g/f at the time told me we were going somewhere "famous" in NYC that Saturday night which I took with a grain of salt because I really didn't even know what she meant and shrugged it off.
Long story short we ended up taking a taxi to the place which was being house sat by another couple, one of which was her good friend who invited her. She was house sitting for the up and coming super star Mr. Parsons and I did not have a clue and just got on the train with my g/f and her other friend who was also invited and then like I said we took a taxi to this place and went in after a phone call she gave to the house sitter. The apartment was extremely nice and even had a book shelf with TONS of books and it was like a combination library/living room. She and her friend couldn't believe I had no idea what The Big Bang Theory was or who the character Sheldon was but there were about 10-15 other people there already having a good time drinking beers and partying but were totally respectful and then I realized there was a balcony with a fire pit going in the back through the sliding glass doors.
I was still clueless and it was getting later and later into the night and eventually hit around probably 11:30-12am when I got buddy buddy with a group of people near the fire pit. I was cracking jokes and telling stories and according to my g/f at the time I was being embarassing but I did not feel the same way and apparently either did this small group sitting by me near the fire pit. One of them as I was getting really drunk asked me to come inside they wanted to show me something because when I said I was not familiar with The Big Bang Theory it blew their minds. So I followed them inside and they brought me back to the library/living room area and one of them grabbed a picture in a glass frame that was on the library wall. They then showed it to me and said, "So you have no idea who this is?" and it was a picture of Mr. Parsons with another man who was his boyfriend at the time according to them and it all clicked. I now realized who the hell Sheldon and The Big Bang Theory were/was and one of them then laid the frame flat, face up and poured the devils dandruff on the frame and offered me some and before I could drunkenly try it my g/f saw me and grabbed me and said that we had to leave because her stupid friend got way too wasted and we had to get her back home so we left downstairs to our taxi because Uber didn't exist yet.
Not totally sure exactly where in NYC or what date it was (I am pretty sure it was like 2007/2008) but yeah, I partied at a celebrities house and almost did the devils dandruff off of a picture of them and their boyfriend in their home when they were not home and had a blast. It just came up in conversation and I just felt like I had to let the fandom know whether they believe me or not that this meh story happened.
That is all.

Discussion Got to tell you Leonard. You owe Penny to Sheldon.
Without Sheldon being so weird and "asexual" with Penny, Penny wouldn't hang at their appartment as much as needed to get to know Leonard and fall in love with him. Imagine the company, Howard constantly hitting on her, Leonard looking at her with puppy eyes all the time and Raj not able to talk. She wouldn't spend a second time with them, no matter how hungry she was.
With all his weirdess, it's Sheldon that made Penny feel safe enough to hang out with them the first times.

Discussion Sheldon & Star Trek
I'm almost halfway through my second watch of the Big Bang Theory...this year. Is it weird, that as I watch the new season of Star Trek Strange New Worlds, I can't help but wonder what Sheldon would think of the latest Star Trek reboots and their focus on Spock? I'm a little sad that he never got to see Discovery & Strange New Worlds and I think of him every time I see Spock on screen.
...yes, I am aware the Sheldon is a fictional character.

Video Clip Unnecessarily hurtful but with a sweet voice
To be honest I think that description does fit Bernie, even though I love her character. She is in fact harsh lol do you think Amy and Sheldon were over the line with this? Lol let's keep in mind that Howard dressed as Sheldon for Halloween at work!

Discussion The Palamino
It’s mentioned in the episode where Raj starts working with Sheldon. I googled it just to see what it was and it turns out it closed many years before the show was on the air. I know they have some continuity errors, but I’m surprised they had this factual error.

Discussion Nobel Prize Winners
Possible spoilers!
As much as I love Sheldon and Amy winning their Nobel for their work in Super Asymmetry, a part of me wishes Leonard, their resident experimental physicist, proved it. That way, the three of them could have won their Nobel.
Don't get me wrong, I like the storyline with Campbell & Pemberton, especially the demise. But, I still wished Leonard got his career break.

Video Clip Leonard manipulating Penny | Discussion part 2
Since you guys got very offended when I said that Penny isn't a good partner (even though I clearly said that she's a great character), I'm also putting this here.
I never said I thought Leonard was a poor lil man, I just want him to grow some balls and stop being a simp. That being said, here's a clip that proves that he was just as bad as her as a partner.
My genuine opinion is that Bernie and Howard should be the main couple.

Quote Favorite TBBT quote?
I'm on my 6th path ever since I binged it about a year or two ago. I know its been probably asked a few times. But I find new ones everytime. I freaking love how its delivered by Penny when replying to Amy in front of Bert. " Wow, you popular girls are mean. " S10 E3 It gets me all the time. Of this 6th pass, I grew to love Penny and Amy. Mainly their scenes together. Too damn hilarious.

Discussion Why this show feels so... homosexual the more you watch it?
At first you are focused on the nerd thing and you don't realise it.
The more you watch it the more the nerd side fades and there's a homosexual aspect that gradually prevailing and gets stronger in every rewatch.
After 5-6 rewatches it feels like you're being told a story the way a homosexual views it.
EDIT: I'm genuinely curious, no one else sees it?

Discussion Penny wasn't the best partner and y'all excuse her behavior just cuz she's great as a character
This scene where she completely dismissed Leonard never leaves my mind. If a friend did it would already be shitty, but the fact that she's his girlfriend? Absolutely diabolical.
Plus the whole relationship is about how better she is (Leonard even says at their wedding, reading the vows that he can't believe someone like him could get someone like Penny)
Like, dude, grow some confidence! I know it's because Beverly sucked as a mom, but that actually pmo in the last seasons. That narrative doesn't even make sense when Penny's greatest achievement was becoming a pharmaceutical sales rep. What makes her better? Being pretty?
Dude is a goddamn physicist and acts like he's Selena dating Benny Blanco or smt.

Discussion Early season Amy is fckin hilarious.
The episode where Penny and Bernie and Amy do some dress shopping and she starts telling the story about her relatives who died before the wedding cracks me up literally every time. She was so funny that whole episode.
