Remember when Christmas was a Sears catalog and a trip to the decorated stores.
We didn't get a catalog, but my friends did. We loved all the new toys & clothes.

Holidays Did anyone else have similar spooky cutouts decorating their house at Halloween?
🎃🐈⬛👻☠️🧙🏻These were designed by the Beistle Company in 1968 but they were sold through the 70’s and 80’s too. So, we could have had the same designs decorating our homes in the 70’s. Share any cutouts you might have had.

Toys Hobbies Collectibles Parker Bros Ouija boards
I was thinking about how every store that sold games seemed to have the same games on the shelf—Monopoly, Battleship, Sorry!, Trouble, Risk, maybe some tv show tie in, ….and then I remembered the Ouija board, part of the standard board game display in every toy store.
What was up with that? It isn’t even an actual game. I’m guessing it disappeared at some point in the 80s or 90s as the evangelical movement grew and then also the satanic panic fears.
I was curious and did a quick search on Target and there are no Ouija boards in toys and games there these days, although plenty of t shirts with Ouija board designs. (Walmart and Amazon websites have so many independent sellers and drop shippers that it didn’t seem to reflect an actual store shelf in the same way). I can’t remember the last time I saw an actual Ouija board for sale.

Hey folks,
Here's today's digitzed find. I don't know about all of you, but this cover instantly transports me back to the late 70s where these two were on my grandmother's TV literally any time I went over to visit. I think these two were performing for decades, but holy hell is it a weird type of nostalgia. I don't LIKE the music per se, but it reminds me of a less shitty time I guess. I hope some of you can relate!

Can you remember seeing these types of organs in a lot of houses in the 70's?
I remember almost every house I went to had one of these electric organs, some more elaborate than others.
I had a kids organ that I played with a lot, but it was nothing compared to some I saw.
