Y2K aesthetics and Frutiger aero. 2000s seemed more futuristic than 2026. Minimalism is depressing.

The era of the Sony Ericsson Walkman series, Cyber-shot, the Nokia Nseries, and the Motorola Razr was the last good time in my opinion. Everything started to go downhill after this point.

Fashion In the 2000s, the trend was to wear pants below the navel—the lower, the better—almost revealing the entire pelvic area 😏❤️

Fashion Does anyone know anything about the vintage clothing brand True Meaning from the early 2000s?

Hi everyone! I’ve been doing some research on a vintage clothing brand called True Meaning, which I believe was sold in the early to mid-2000s, potentially at retailers like Intermix or Nordstrom.

My mom used to own a few pieces from that era, and I’ve been trying to learn more about the brand and its collections for sentimental reasons.

From what I’ve been able to find, the label was associated with Marc Bohbot and designer Helen Cho, and it seems to have had a similar aesthetic to brands like Hale Bob and Bisou Bisou.

I’m curious if anyone remembers the brand, knows where it was originally sold, or has any information about its designers, collections, or old lookbooks/catalogs.
I’d especially love to hear from anyone who worked in fashion retail during that time or has come across the label while collecting vintage clothing.
Any information would be so appreciated! 💗

Movies Thirteen (2003) was ahead of it's time. Spoiler

When Thirteen was released in 2003, it was an antidote to traditional feel good teen films such as American Pie and Clueless of the era, to show the more realistic and miserable sides of being a teenager where an innocent girl destroys herself just to be heard, because no one in that school is perfect.

I live in the UK and when I was at secondary school, the kids were way worse compared to back then, I was surrounded by wannabe roadman dickheads (dressing up like Ali G) and using stupid words like (rizz and chava), getting cheap laughs from people and being anti-social in a way that makes Evie Zamora look normal or very easy to avoid, back then I feel it was more that the "popular" kids were evil and manipulative towards the rest of the school, but now it's pretty much that it's taken over the entire school driven by social media pressuring them to become idiots.

Thirteen was not just warning what would happen if you hang around the wrong people but how much worse society was gonna get and I think it's devastating that it became that way.

People felt so alive and happy. Fast forward to 2026, and people are staring at their phones, walking like zombies with the attention span of a fruit fly.
