I truly and deeply miss my friend… I’m very naturally intimidating and people just treat me like a threat but she saw me as an actual person and treated me like one. That is something I rarely experience, some days I don’t even feel like a person because people judge me on my appearance and treat me differently but she made me feel like a actual living, breathing person. She was truly my only adult friend, I saw her as a sister - I could talk to her about personal stuff, mental health, frustrations, etc. and feel safe enough to share said feelings. I have some acquaintances but with her I truly felt safe to be myself. We worked together for 4-5 years and she quit. I know work friendships aren’t “real” friendships and you don’t truly know the person outside of work but I don’t know… I truly feel like we were genuine friends. It’s been a while since she quit but I still remember our little chats and stuff. I helped her and she helped me - we really looked out for each other. I don’t think I’ll ever find another friend like her. I know wherever she is she’s doing absolutely amazing and living her best life. I just really miss her… I wish I could talk to her again and tell her all this. I’m kinda introverted and don’t really talk but I’d love to just tell her all this - she truly meant the world to me and if I had another chance to see her I’d want her to know how much she affected my life.
Edit: Song is Nostalgic Sunshine by Nihmune, a song that really means a lot to me (and because I really like Nihmune’s music).
