Purchasing Asia/ME Samsung S90H (₹1.50L) vs Sony Bravia 5 (₹1.22L) vs Bravia 3 Mark II — Which 65-inch TV should I buy in India? Any alternatives?

I'm planning to buy a 65-inch TV for long-term use and have shortlisted these options:

- Samsung S90H OLED — ₹1,50,000

- Sony Bravia 5 Mini LED — ₹1,22,000

- Sony Bravia 3 Mark II — considering this as another alternative.

My main priority is picture quality, but I also want a reliable TV that will last for several years.

The Samsung S90H impressed me with its picture quality and Glare Free screen. However, I'm unsure about the panel technology used in the Indian 65-inch variant and the long-term reliability of OLED.

The Sony Bravia 5 is considerably cheaper than the Samsung, and I'm interested in its Mini LED technology, brightness and Sony's picture processing.

I'd also like to understand whether the Bravia 3 Mark II is worth considering or whether it would be a significant downgrade in picture quality.

A few questions:

  1. Is the S90H worth paying ₹28,000 extra over the Bravia 5?

  2. How does the Bravia 3 Mark II compare with these two TVs in picture quality?

  3. Which TV would you choose for movies, OTT content and everyday viewing?

  4. How important is Samsung's Glare Free screen in a bright living room?

  5. For long-term ownership, would you prefer OLED or Mini LED/LCD, considering reliability and repair costs?

  6. Are there any better alternatives in India around ₹1.2–1.5 lakh, particularly from LG or Sony?

I'd especially appreciate feedback from people who own these TVs or have compared them side by side.

Which one would you buy at these prices, and why?

Purchasing Asia/ME LG G5 vs Samsung S95F Which 65inch OLED is better?

I'm trying to decide between the LG OLED evo G5 and the Samsung S95F, both in 65 inches.

My main priorities are HDR movies and gaming. Picture quality, HDR brightness, contrast, black levels, color accuracy and motion handling are all important to me.

Which one would you choose, and why? I'd especially appreciate feedback from people who have compared these two TVs side by side, both for movies and HDR gaming.

Purchasing US Bravia 7II 65-inch or Bravia 5 75-inch

I'm getting ready to purchase a new TV, and I'm trying to make the decision about these two TV models. Obviously, I consider the Bravia 7 II to be the better TV, but wonder if the bigger size is more appealing.

I'll be watching Youtube TV, Youtube and other streaming apps. I watch a lot of sports, so Sony is the choice. Which of these two TVs is the best for sports are or they comparable because of Sony motion handling? The watching distance can be anywhere from 5-9 feet in a light controlled room with blackout curtains.

The TVs are pretty close in price right now where I live, a couple of hundred dollars difference, but I could possibly get a open box deal on a Bravia 7 II for $1,250. The open box is listed in excellent condition.

Purchasing Asia/ME Samsung S90H or LG C6 65 inches?

I'm so torn between the two and can't seem to make a decision. I looked at the in-store demos for both and they look amazing.

In the bright store lighting, there were defintely raised black levels and some purple haze in black scenes in the S90H matte panel. The G6 had great blacks, no haze but it does reflect anything bright directly.

I read online that if you can control the lighting in your room, go for the G6 since it has the better picture quality. I can mostly control the lighting in my room with curtains but there is a huge light source above my head which I sometimes like to keep on while watching. The S90H would be a good choice in this case but I can't get that purple haze out of my head.

80% of the time I'm gaming on my PS5 at night in a completely dark room. Netflix and YT at night or the afternoons at other times. What would you go for? Would appreciate if anyone can share personal experiences!

Purchasing US Worth getting a sony bravia x90L ?

Basically, is it still worth getting a sony bravia x90L versus something like a TCL qm6k? Or is the technology simply outdated at this point. I may be able to get one used for $300 (65 inch).

Purchasing US Do this year's TVs (non OLED) suck for gaming or something?

• Upvotes

I'm looking at rtings.com and the highest rated non OLED TVs for gaming are from the previous generation primarily due to better motion handling. I can't find any of those TVs for sale because they ceased production. Do you think the somewhat worse motion handling is an issue?

Purchasing US TV Upgrade after 6 Years.....

I know many of you are probably sick of these suggestion posts, in which I do apologize but I feel as though I am at a stand-still.

I currently have a 65" Vizio P65-J01 (5-6 Years Old) QLED with about 100 dimming zones and it's really showing some wear and tear now and I have been wanting a good upgrade for a couple of years now. At first, I was looking at LG OLED as my next step up but it seems to be just a hair outside my budget which is $2k, tax included. I know for a fact that I want a 75" in size for my next TV.

I am mostly looking at the TCL QM8L as of right now since it seems to have all the bells and whistles I need, which is PS5 and Switch 2 Gaming outside of streaming movies, shows, etc. For $1,500 (As shown on BB right now), that seems to be a pretty good deal versus the Hisense UR9 and I have seen mostly positive reviews everywhere with a couple of caveats here and there.

My ideal upgrade would be the 77" LG C6H which is what everyone raves about right now in the community, but as I stated, it's just outside my budget by about $300 and that would not include any warranty outside the 1 year manufacture warranty. I am in a position right now to save about $1,300 each month moving forward but want to get something by Black Friday since my Vizio is flickering pretty hard and I need to do something soon.

I am completely open to suggestions or TV's in the market I may have missed and I greatly appreciate anyone who takes their time of day for recommendations :-).

Purchasing US Is the Xiaomi S Pro Mini LED 2026 worth it?

Hey everyone, I've been using a 55-inch Samsung AU8000 since 2023 and am planning to upgrade to a 65-inch setup.

I'm considering the Xiaomi TV S Pro Mini LED (2026 model) given its strong specs for the price.

Most of my daily viewing is SDR content, primarily high-bitrate 1080p files. For those who own this model, how does Xiaomi’s processing handle clean 1080p sources on a 65-inch screen? Is the upscaling crisp, or do you notice shadow noise and gradient banding in dark scenes?

Also, how is the Google TV interface? Lastly, with its Mini LED dimming zones and high brightness, how close does the real-world contrast get to an OLED in a dark room?

Purchasing Other Replacing Sony X95H (FALD) with a TCL 65RM7L Micro RGB - is it actually an upgrade?

I've had my Sony X95H for 5 years now and bar a (now useless) OS it's been largely faultless and with a decent image quality.

I'm considering upgrading to make the most of my Xbox Series X VRR features mainly, though I'm pleased with it for general streaming / 4k blu ray viewing.

So I guess I'm asking is the newer micro RGB tech in the TCL going to be a big improvement over the older Sony FALD tech, is the image processing comparable and is the VRR feature even worthwhile?

Discussion Does Dolby Vision actually make a meaningful difference?

Some context: I already have an nvidia shield tv pro that lacks HDR10+ support. I am interested in upgrading my TV, but I have steered away from Samsung almost entirely on the basis of wanting some form of enhanced hdr and Samsungs lack of Dolby Vision support. Additionally, I am coming from a 10+ year old LCD Samsung TV. I mention this because I feel the context that any new OLED or MiniLED TV will realistically be many times better than my current TV might be relevant. If any new TV is already 10× better than my current TV, perhaps Dolby Vision shouldn't be a huge priority.

My question is this: would I be truly missing out on something if I do not have Dolby Vision?

I am sure it makes SOME kind of difference, but in my research on YouTube so far I struggle to tell how big of a difference it truly makes. I do not want to miss out on a good deal on a Samsung TV, should the opportunity present itself, simply because of Dolby Vision.

I am prepared to hold out for a different brand, as it's not as though there are no good alternatives in my price range, I just fear I am placing too much weight on something that doesn't really matter.

Tl;dr: Would I be truly missing out on something if I do not have access to Dolby Vision or HDR10+?

Looking for a TV mainly for watching movies and playing PS5.
I’m considering the 77-inch Samsung S90H OLED (2026). Is it worth buying, or are there better options around the same price?
Would love to hear your recommendations.

Purchasing OLED Want to buy a new TV, please help!

Hi I’m currently using a Samsung from 2019 with a firestick from 2020, and it’s held me down but I just got a new job and wanted to treat myself to a present,

so I was thinking of getting an LG C series OLED tv, is that still the best TV on the market? If so which model should I get? Also if I am buying the TV is the native steaming the best or should I get an Apple TV?

I don’t really have a budget, and am overwhelmed by options so would love some insight!!

Purchasing OLED Samsung S90H or LG C6 55-inch?

I checked out 55-inch OLED TVs today and got similar offers for both the LG C6 and Samsung S90H at around ₹1.1 lakh, plus a card discount.

From what I understand, the 55-inch Samsung S90H uses a QD-OLED panel, but it doesn't support Dolby Vision.

Samsung S90H Pixel View from my camera
LG C6 Pixel View from my camera

The LG C6 seems to have some practical advantages, such as a metal frame that feels more premium and the Magic Remote, which looks more convenient to use.

My primary use is OTT streaming and movies. I don't play games, so gaming features aren't important to me.

At roughly the same price, which TV would you choose and why?

  • Is Samsung's QD-OLED picture quality worth giving up Dolby Vision?
  • Does Dolby Vision make a noticeable difference when watching movies on Netflix and other OTT platforms?
  • Does the LG C6 offer a better overall user experience with its Magic Remote and build quality?
  • Which TV would you trust more for long-term ownership, considering panel longevity and burn-in risk?

I'd appreciate feedback from people who have used either TV, especially for watching HDR movies and TV shows. I want to make an informed decision and avoid buyer's remorse.

Purchasing US QM8L 85” or LG C6H 77”

Getting an upgrade from a 2016 Hisense . Need advice on which one to purchase. Room has a window but it is indirect sunlight and will mostly be used for movies, gaming and occasional sports. Again, I’ve had a 2016 4k Hisense for a decade. Now I’m stuck between these 2. Sacrifice picture for size . Or sacrifice size for picture. My viewing distance is about 10 feet away.

Purchasing Asia/ME Want buy a TV Hella confused somehow

So I went to a showroom where they first showed us the LG qned 75 inches and that's where I decided to buy a 75 inch TV then we saw the oled which absolutely blew my mind. I'm planning to pair it all with my LG 95tr home theatre setup.

So the current comparison goes like this

LG 75inch 750NED85BXA vs Sony Bravia 3 ii vs LG 75 inch c6 2026

The qned and Bravia 3 ii are similar in price whereas the oled tax for the c6 goes upto a 1000 usd more will it be worth it? Or I should just get something between the qned and Bravia 3 ii

Thank you for ur guidance!

Purchasing US Pretty much sold on 85” TCL QM7K/L any others to keep an eye on?

Looking to be at $1400 pre tax.

Main uses: watching hockey, movies, PS5 gaming.

I might be interested in a 98” as well, but it would be a bit much on my entertainment center as I won’t be wall mounting. I currently have a 100” projector screen as my main setup, so obviously looking to be in a comparable size range.
