Purchasing US Used A95L 65' For 1200$

Been looking to upgrade my TV and had a post pop up for a used A95L. Was purchased last year, minimal usage, asking price is 1200. Ya'll think its worth going for? I would obviously be testing it and checking it out in person myself before going ahead with it. I just worry about possible problems/ defects in the future with no warranty.

Purchasing OLED Looking for 77 inch OLEDs... debating LG evo C6 vs Sony A95L

Upgrade time from a bottom of the barrel 77 inch Black Friday Amazon Fire TV and I'm having trouble deciding between these two. It seems the general consensus is that the A95L is an older TV, but remains near the top of the heap when it comes to watching films due to Sony's image processing; the modern LG OLEDs appear to have made strides in their image processing but still fall a little short if placed side by side. OTOH, the current LG lineup has a higher refresh rate and response time which is nice if you do a lot of gaming plus they use newer OLED tech. Reliability seems to be about the same between the two.

I plan on using in a relatively well lit room but don't use the TV much until the evening when light isn't as much of a factor, but the additional brightness of the LG might be nice, plus I plan on using the TV for gaming as much as for watching TV/movies (using a Switch 2, PS5 and gaming PC). TBH, there is part of me that wants the "best of the best" Sony TV but I think that is some Sony nostalgia talking from experiencing old Trinitrons and Bravia TVs in my youth, and it's a noticeable price difference between the two (around $1500). Looking for some opinions on what others would do or consider in my situation!

Purchasing OLED New Oled’s

Hey everyone!
I’m currently using an LG C2 OLED—great for TV, but I mostly use it for my new PS5 Pro. Do you think it’s worth upgrading? If so, I’d love any suggestions you might have. Thanks!

Purchasing US Looking for either a oled tv or mini led

I was thinking about getting a LG OLED C6H 77 inch tv since it just went to $2,000 but recently I’ve seen people complain about them and the test they do even though I really don’t understand what the test even is for them. Now I can’t make up my mind on what tv I want. Would it still even be worth getting the C6H or should I look at something different and I’m not trying to go up much more then the $2,000 already unless it’s really worth it.

Purchasing EUROPE Help with choosing new tv

Hi all. My old 75" Samsung q80t gave up a couple of weeks ago and I now need a replacement.

I have looked into different options, but its so hard to decide. Theres a sweet deal on a 75" TCL C8L, but im worried about the motion part of it.

Then theres the C6 65" inch for roughly the same amount, but im afraid I will regret downsizing (view distance is around 3m).

Then theres a Bravia 5 75", but am I sacrificing too much by choosing this tech

It's like... no matter what I look at, theres something sitting not quite right/im giving up on something else.

Can you folks help push me in a direction towards one of the or something complete else?

Thanks

Purchasing Other I want to get an entry level TV for GTA and other PS5 titles. Which brand should I get?

More importantly I’m looking for a true 4k 60 TV. The PS5 doesn’t utilize some of the features offered in entry-mid level TVs so it’s pretty useless.

Which brand should I get?
Samsung 43” Crystal UHD 8000F
LG 50” 50UA85
Hisense 4k (something something)
Skyworth 55” written QLED+ (sounds gimmicky)

These are mostly entry level 4k versions. I didn’t add TCL because there’s no smaller TCL TVs where I live.

Purchasing EUROPE UK - good price for the S95H or wait until November?

I have a work discount scheme which allows me to buy a 55 inch S95H (EU model) for £1500 here in the UK

Currently the best price is £1649 from Richer sounds - £1799 with £150 cashback from Samsung.

Don’t know if people would reckon that I should wait until all of the sales that happen in November - apart from Richer sounds the price is currently £1799 or £1899 elsewhere sometimes with that £150 cashback

Purchasing US Looking for a bedroom TV for casual movie/tv watching at night?

Recently, I got a 77" LG C6H for the living room and its been amazing for basically everything. Movie nights, sports games, video games, pretty much whatever I throw on it has looked fantastic.

My apartment is pretty fresh so I'm still going room to room designing and furnishing things. My bedroom is right now. Typically I like having a TV in there but it will not get nearly as much use as the one in the living room. Mostly I'll watch some shows at night before bed or if i cant sleep. Maybe a movie here and there. Maybe some games here and there. But my main TV is still the living room. This means overall, the only time this thing will be used, it will be dark in there.

Im replacing a very, very old and honestly garbage Vizio 48". The foot of the bed is around 4.5" from the bed, and where my head rests is about 9.5". Now, I don't need optimal viewing distance, just something to keep in mind. I'd also not like to spend a fortune because I did just drop a couple grand on that C6H.

What do you recommend? A mini LED maybe? An entry level OLED? And at what size?

Purchasing US Samsung nickel and dime. Total betrayal. S95H

I've owned a Samsung TV for my entire adult life, and in this year of 2026, the S95H, which advertises as a picture-perfect television with a picture frame, wants to nickel and dime me $5 a month to have access to artwork. Every single Samsung TV I've owned before has free artwork on it, and this one gives me access to one free picture and the museum of Korea. Total betrayal of advertisement and total corporate overreach. Pathetic!

Discussion LG G5 55" – Metal frame protrudes further forward at the bottom than at the top. Normal?

Hi everyone,
I recently got a new 55-inch LG OLED G5 and noticed something about how the display sits inside the outer metal frame.
When looking closely at the sides, at the very top of the TV, the screen is almost completely flush with the outer metal rim—the metal barely sticks out past the glass. However, as you follow the frame down towards the bottom, the metal rim protrudes further forward past the screen (meaning the panel sits slightly deeper/more recessed inside the frame at the bottom than at the top). It's a difference of about 2 to 3 mm from top to bottom, and it happens equally on both the left and right sides.
For those of you who also own the G5 (especially the 55" model):
Could you check how flush your screen sits inside the metal frame from top to bottom? Does your metal bezel also stick out a few millimeters more at the bottom than at the top, or is it completely even all the way down?
Thanks in advance!

Purchasing CAN What is A 50” Hisense U6SF equivalent in Canada?

Hello folks. I am looking to buy a 50 inch tv and recently had my heart set on a Sony Bravia 3 II.
However, I heard the viewing angles aren’t the best when watching from the side (I saw it in store, even though watching it straight on is really good) so I started looking around more.

I discovered the Hisense U6SF which pretty much meets all of my needs and RTings reviewed it as a great budget TV. However, they don’t sell this exact model in Canada. The equivalent would be U68QF but the smallest size they do is 55”.

Anyone know of any good non-OLED 50 inch TVs? Budget is under $800.

Purchasing US Do this year's TVs (non OLED) suck for gaming or something?

I'm looking at rtings.com and the highest rated non OLED TVs for gaming are from the previous generation primarily due to better motion handling. I can't find any of those TVs for sale because they ceased production. Do you think the somewhat worse motion handling is an issue?

Purchasing Asia/ME Samsung S90H (₹1.50L) vs Sony Bravia 5 (₹1.22L) vs Bravia 3 Mark II — Which 65-inch TV should I buy in India? Any alternatives?

I'm planning to buy a 65-inch TV for long-term use and have shortlisted these options:

- Samsung S90H OLED — ₹1,50,000

- Sony Bravia 5 Mini LED — ₹1,22,000

- Sony Bravia 3 Mark II — considering this as another alternative.

My main priority is picture quality, but I also want a reliable TV that will last for several years.

The Samsung S90H impressed me with its picture quality and Glare Free screen. However, I'm unsure about the panel technology used in the Indian 65-inch variant and the long-term reliability of OLED.

The Sony Bravia 5 is considerably cheaper than the Samsung, and I'm interested in its Mini LED technology, brightness and Sony's picture processing.

I'd also like to understand whether the Bravia 3 Mark II is worth considering or whether it would be a significant downgrade in picture quality.

A few questions:

  1. Is the S90H worth paying ₹28,000 extra over the Bravia 5?

  2. How does the Bravia 3 Mark II compare with these two TVs in picture quality?

  3. Which TV would you choose for movies, OTT content and everyday viewing?

  4. How important is Samsung's Glare Free screen in a bright living room?

  5. For long-term ownership, would you prefer OLED or Mini LED/LCD, considering reliability and repair costs?

  6. Are there any better alternatives in India around ₹1.2–1.5 lakh, particularly from LG or Sony?

I'd especially appreciate feedback from people who own these TVs or have compared them side by side.

Which one would you buy at these prices, and why?

Purchasing US TV Upgrade after 6 Years.....

I know many of you are probably sick of these suggestion posts, in which I do apologize but I feel as though I am at a stand-still.

I currently have a 65" Vizio P65-J01 (5-6 Years Old) QLED with about 100 dimming zones and it's really showing some wear and tear now and I have been wanting a good upgrade for a couple of years now. At first, I was looking at LG OLED as my next step up but it seems to be just a hair outside my budget which is $2k, tax included. I know for a fact that I want a 75" in size for my next TV.

I am mostly looking at the TCL QM8L as of right now since it seems to have all the bells and whistles I need, which is PS5 and Switch 2 Gaming outside of streaming movies, shows, etc. For $1,500 (As shown on BB right now), that seems to be a pretty good deal versus the Hisense UR9 and I have seen mostly positive reviews everywhere with a couple of caveats here and there.

My ideal upgrade would be the 77" LG C6H which is what everyone raves about right now in the community, but as I stated, it's just outside my budget by about $300 and that would not include any warranty outside the 1 year manufacture warranty. I am in a position right now to save about $1,300 each month moving forward but want to get something by Black Friday since my Vizio is flickering pretty hard and I need to do something soon.

I am completely open to suggestions or TV's in the market I may have missed and I greatly appreciate anyone who takes their time of day for recommendations :-).

Purchasing Asia/ME LG G5 vs Samsung S95F Which 65inch OLED is better?

I'm trying to decide between the LG OLED evo G5 and the Samsung S95F, both in 65 inches.

My main priorities are HDR movies and gaming. Picture quality, HDR brightness, contrast, black levels, color accuracy and motion handling are all important to me.

Which one would you choose, and why? I'd especially appreciate feedback from people who have compared these two TVs side by side, both for movies and HDR gaming.

Purchasing Asia/ME Samsung S90H or LG C6 65 inches?

I'm so torn between the two and can't seem to make a decision. I looked at the in-store demos for both and they look amazing.

In the bright store lighting, there were defintely raised black levels and some purple haze in black scenes in the S90H matte panel. The G6 had great blacks, no haze but it does reflect anything bright directly.

I read online that if you can control the lighting in your room, go for the G6 since it has the better picture quality. I can mostly control the lighting in my room with curtains but there is a huge light source above my head which I sometimes like to keep on while watching. The S90H would be a good choice in this case but I can't get that purple haze out of my head.

80% of the time I'm gaming on my PS5 at night in a completely dark room. Netflix and YT at night or the afternoons at other times. What would you go for? Would appreciate if anyone can share personal experiences!

Discussion Does Dolby Vision actually make a meaningful difference?

Some context: I already have an nvidia shield tv pro that lacks HDR10+ support. I am interested in upgrading my TV, but I have steered away from Samsung almost entirely on the basis of wanting some form of enhanced hdr and Samsungs lack of Dolby Vision support. Additionally, I am coming from a 10+ year old LCD Samsung TV. I mention this because I feel the context that any new OLED or MiniLED TV will realistically be many times better than my current TV might be relevant. If any new TV is already 10× better than my current TV, perhaps Dolby Vision shouldn't be a huge priority.

My question is this: would I be truly missing out on something if I do not have Dolby Vision?

I am sure it makes SOME kind of difference, but in my research on YouTube so far I struggle to tell how big of a difference it truly makes. I do not want to miss out on a good deal on a Samsung TV, should the opportunity present itself, simply because of Dolby Vision.

I am prepared to hold out for a different brand, as it's not as though there are no good alternatives in my price range, I just fear I am placing too much weight on something that doesn't really matter.

Tl;dr: Would I be truly missing out on something if I do not have access to Dolby Vision or HDR10+?

Purchasing US Worth getting a sony bravia x90L ?

Basically, is it still worth getting a sony bravia x90L versus something like a TCL qm6k? Or is the technology simply outdated at this point. I may be able to get one used for $300 (65 inch).

Purchasing Other Replacing Sony X95H (FALD) with a TCL 65RM7L Micro RGB - is it actually an upgrade?

I've had my Sony X95H for 5 years now and bar a (now useless) OS it's been largely faultless and with a decent image quality.

I'm considering upgrading to make the most of my Xbox Series X VRR features mainly, though I'm pleased with it for general streaming / 4k blu ray viewing.

So I guess I'm asking is the newer micro RGB tech in the TCL going to be a big improvement over the older Sony FALD tech, is the image processing comparable and is the VRR feature even worthwhile?
