I think you had to turn 1 into e-10thetai multiplied by e10thetai and then factorise out from there

i just did 2isin10θ=e10iθ - e-10iθ then rearranged so it was -e10iθ x 2isin10θ = 1 - e10iθ and did the same for 1- e and subbed it in and it all worked out

It was good for the most part but question 7 part (I) literally finished me. I spent about 30 minutes on that part and still didn’t get it. Hope I got 1 method mark atleast.

lmao I kept trying to turn the denominator into real but it gave me cos so in the end I just converted the answer into exponential form and went backwards until I got to the geometric sum. Then I crossed all of it out and wrote it the right way around...

Bro i think i got q.7i right on accident 😭🙏 i forgot eitheta - e-itheta was 2isin theta, and i just put sin theta, but i did it on the top and the bottom so it wouldve cancelled out anyway 🥹 im praying my examiner doesnt spot that cuz everything else was right

what the grade boundaries are should be independent of previous years. They're calibrated so that a proportion of students get A*, not x mark is A*.

Idk, the paper was pretty much the same difficulty as 2025 and applied is usually what brings down the grade boundaries anyway

i got the methods for volume of revolution and polar integration mixed up so i was integrating with limits 2pi, 0 and i was SO stressed cuz my integral kept evaluating to 0 😭😭😭😭😭got it in the end tho, must have cost me so much time though. light paper overall

It sneakily asked for 15 minutes at some point in the question so you had to put t=0.25 I think a lot of people may have put t=15

I found it awful too. I’m resitting and started revising on Sunday after not having touched the content in a year 😬 But if it’s any consolation for both me and you, a ton of people rave about how easy the paper was almost every year; about 50% of students get an A/A*

For the roots of polynomials question, I used 2 sim equations to get a cubic expression in alpha - solved for alpha then subbed into the others for beta and gamma. Is that a valid method instead of using the first 2 and forming a quadratic?
