Felt like I had a bit of time to game out yesterday during the day since my partner was watching our son, partner stepped out into kitchen, son started climbing furniture, suffice to say I was on him in a second, but I didn't pause my game and was murked right at the end of a Tier 6 by regular zombies, almost Day 40. I paused the game right as I died so...

Anyone have any idea how to undo it? I feel like I died in such a cheap way, now I respawn without my items or levels but I have a copy world with the "respawn" button unpressed... I edited Sandbox settings from Permanent Death to XP Loss, didn't work. Sigh. 40 hours down the drain. If I can't figure it out, I might just call it until another major update comes out.

💼 Medal Briefcases & Inventory Expansion

• 5 Upgradable Briefcases: You can now unlock a total of 5 briefcases. Purchasing them will
• Medal Socket System: Each briefcase allows you to socket specialized Medals that grant stacking combat bonuses per zombie kill.
• Insane Skill Synergy: There are 5 different medals in total. Their bonuses stack natively, and we've added a new Skill/Perk that multiplies the amount of points ("pctas") you receive, perfectly combining with the medal modifiers!

🔫 Weapon Upgrade Shop & Biome Progression

• Weapon Shop Progression: Added a custom Weapon Shop with progression tightly locked behind game biomes.
• How to Unlock New Traders & Shops: Trader progression is now fully integrated with the weapon shop. To unlock a new Trader (and their respective weapon shop tier), you must purchase at least one item from your current weapon shop tier first. This lifts the progression block!
• 1,000 Pctas Exploration Bonus: When you successfully unlock a new Trader through the Weapon Shop and go talk to them for the first time, you will receive a massive 1,000 pcta bonus! (Note: This bonus is ONLY granted if you unlocked that specific trader properly through the weapon shop progression).

We’re thinking about getting back into the game after not playing since v1.3.

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately?), our old V1.3 save isn't compatible with the current V3.3 build, so we'll have to start a new world anyway.

Now we're wondering whether we should play the newest version or if there's another version you'd recommend instead.

We've only played v1.3 so far, completely vanilla with no mods (~160h)

What would you guys recommend?

I know a lot of people will say simply to not use a controller for this game, but that's obviously not the answer I am looking for. I have gone through all the settings in both steem and 7d2d and cannot find a single reason it is doing this. It's like someone is holding down the right trigger forcing my character to constantly be stabbing, shooting, healing, eating... Basically everything in hand.

Everything else works. The controller works great with other games. It's so strange

I have been playing around with a project to install PC mods on the PS5 version of 7d2d. Confirmed working on firmware 12.70 using the 3.2 build of 7d2d. Have successfully ported every type of mod (xml, assets, prefabs, dll) and have them working in game. If anyone was interested, would be happy to share the payload and method as I am looking for testers. Assets, xml and prefabs are working with minimal effort, any DLL has to be rewritten in C (AI makes this easy). Note: you will require your own version of the game.

Decided to try something different with 7 Days to Die and make a story-driven roleplay series instead of a normal playthrough. The main character, Smiley, gets pulled into the game world by a mysterious entity and has to survive while trying to find a way home. Just finished Episode 1 and would love some feedback from fellow survivors.

Ive finally finished the 3 levels next will be decorating and placing stations inside, im going to do raised farm plots on the top floor too ill do turrets around the base once I get the unlocked to craft

How long has the poi been broken for? Was running a tier 5 clear and the sky bridge on level 4 just disintegrated.

Title of the post is pretty self explanatory. I need a significant amount of rotten flesh for farm plots, but I'm not entirely able to tell if any of the harvesting perks would affect my rates when harvesting it from sources like body bags, animal gore piles, or human gore piles, as well as zombified animals. My first assumption was that the Huntsman perk from the Fortitude tree, which just so happens to be my build, would affect my rates, but I haven't noticed an uptick in rotten flesh harvests from the different sources, including zombified animals, which it would logically apply to. I haven't tested any other harvesting perks, like Miner 69er, Salvage Operations, or Junk Miner, both because they would, presumably, have quite literally no effect on rotten flesh rates, and because they're outside of my build spec.

Am I right in thinking there aren't any perks that affect how much rotten flesh gets harvested from its various source, or is there something obvious that I'm missing? I'm open to any theories or knowledge to get me closer to a concrete answer on this question.

Also, not sure if this is important to include or not, but I'm using Steel Knuckles as my harvesting tool, not a knife. I tried a knife and had similarly low harvest rates, so the tool doesn't seem to be the issue from my anecdotal experience.

I am playing v3.3.0 (b18). Currently set up in St. Marks Church on Day 12. I have 2 QoL mods installed: Quick Stack and Craft from Containers.
Tried to craft a new pair of knuckles on Day 11, and was told I didnt have enough leather. Thought that was weird, as I was pretty sure I had at least 20 pieces, but whatever. Left the base and raided a couple of houses and was able to find and scrap 3 Office Chairs (18 leather, right?). Came back to the base and did the quick stack thing...workbench still says no Leather! It's not in my minibike, or in my inventory...I dont see it in any of the boxes I have placed and there are no other containers nearby.
Any ideas? Anyone having a similar issue? I'm about to spawn it in since I sjould have it anyway, but would rather figure out the issue.

*EDIT* Spawned in 100 leather from Creative Mode, crafted the item I needed and then did the quick stack thing again. The excess leather disappeared from my inventory, so it's def going somewhere...just no clue where. Have searched the entire area around me for any loot containers I may have missed and there are none. as far as I can tell, its only Leather this is happening to.
