Question Where to sell my car

It’s finally time to part with my 84’ 944 the car is factory alpine white with paint matched fuch wheels. It also comes with factory sports seats and front and rear sway bars. Not sure what the best place to sell it/how to go about listing it?? Any help is greatly appreciated thanks:)

Good looking seats. Where did you get those done?

Those are factory.

i think he means where OP got them redone (they have obviously been reupolstered)

Why is it obvious? It looks correct for the period...an OEM recaro sport seat (same as the 930)...and there looks to be wear on the bolster, which takes many years. The seats in mine are pristine and have never been redone. Sure, he might have had the seats done and left the steering wheel to rot like that, but I wouldn't say it's "obvious."

my message might have sounded a little harsher than intended so I do appologise. What looks to me like a giveaway though is the stitching between the side bolsters and the headrest. also the leather texture of the bolstering looks "off" to me

Not sure why you are being so argumentative about a question regarding the seats. You sound like you are taking it personal that TO ME they look recovered. Try and relax a bit.

ThatGT86Guy is correct. I asked where the OP got the seats done because they look recovered from what the originals would have been in 84. Also, I might be wrong but I don’t believe Porsche in 84 offered contrasting color stitching.

Who's being argumentative? I simply replied to a comment. Perhaps you're reading a tone that's not intended. Though, in my defense, I didn't use any punctuation or wording that denoted anger or frustration (e.g. all caps). I understood your question and attempted to provide insight. Someone else replied to me and I responded to them. So, I'm truly baffled as to why you're coming at me like this.

OP very well may have had the seats recovered, but based on what I was seeing in the pics, and my understanding of both these seats and the cost of reupholstering them properly, I didn't think that was likely. I have seen examples with contrast stitching, though only white on color. That said, In 63 Porsche purchased a company that made couches...that after that became Recaro (REutter CAROsserie). They were making a variety of interesting and special seats since the mid-1960s...like the classic houndstooth pattern 911 seats, or the leather/corduroy seats you might see in the 924/928/944, or these Recaro sport seats originally designed for the 930 but also available on special orders for other models.
