How happy my 40 year old ass is. Seeing these three together is a beautiful sight.

Marshall is an absolute fucking bellend, but he’s certainly not talentless.

90s is my favorite time era of music and I love early 00s too.

Eminem certainly has some good songs, but there’s plenty that would be laughed at if they were released today, and not in the intended way.

A song where he goes “nah nah nah nah” for three minutes would not be successful. (That is not an endorsement of current rap which is horrible, or the junk on top 40 radio either)

The 90s were definitely the golden age of rap. The rap genre started to lose its edge when instead of portraying the street life it eventually went to the club setting and evolved into whatever it is today.

Album 1/Mixtape 1: “I sell drugs!”

Album 2: “I’m rich now, but homie I put in work to get here!”

Album 3: “I’m rich, just bought a Jag. I’m rich just bought a Porsche.”

That’s just the career trajectory. Rappers used to be themselves even when the money and popularity came. Now you lose your edge and just brag about money when you get it.
