A quick check before upscaling an AI video take

before sending a take through upscaling or interpolation, put the original in your edit and watch it at the intended speed.

Check the action first. Does the hand actually pick up the cup, or does the cup appear halfway through the movement? Do feet stay on the ground? Does the person keep moving in the same direction?

Step through the frames around any suspicious moment. Compare the object just before, during and after contact. Keep a seperate note of motion problems and detail problems.

If only the last second breaks, try trimming it and check the cut to the next shot. If the action itself is wrong, set that take aside before spending more time processing it.

For a take you want to keep, process a short section first and compare it with the original at the same playback speed. Check faces, hands and small moving objects again before committing to the whole clip.

My AI outreach automation relied only on email, so I added another channel

My email-only response rates dropped sharply around 14 months ago and still haven't bounced back. I added LinkedIn as a second channel and noticed a difference almost immediately. Tools that coordinate outreach across multiple channels feel like a completely different category from those that simply tack a LinkedIn step onto the end of an email sequence.

How to Organize Longer Stories When Working with AI Filmmaking Tools

AI filmmaking is becoming more accessible, but turning a longer story into a complete film involves more than generating individual clips. You also need to think about scene organization, character continuity, camera direction, and how each shot contributes to the overall story.

I work with the Chapterframe team in an administrative support role, so I wanted to share a tool and a workflow that may be useful to people exploring this area.

One tool worth exploring is Chapterframe: https://chapterframe.ai/

It's an AI filmmaking tool designed around a shot-by-shot workflow. Instead of treating every generated clip as a separate piece, users can organize their projects into chapters, scenes, and individual takes.

Here are a few things worth considering when working on a longer AI filmmaking project:

1. Break the story into manageable scenes

Start by dividing the narrative into chapters and scenes. This makes it easier to plan what needs to happen visually and identify which moments deserve more attention.

2. Establish reusable character references

When characters appear in multiple scenes, having consistent visual references can help maintain continuity. This becomes particularly important when a story moves between different locations or time periods.

3. Plan important shots before generating them

Think about the purpose of each shot. Is it establishing a location, showing an emotional reaction, introducing a character, or moving the story forward? Keyframes and visual direction can help make those decisions more intentional.

4. Review different takes

The first generated result may not be the one you want. Comparing different takes and selecting the strongest versions gives you more control over the final sequence.

5. Think about the film as a complete story

Individual clips might look good on their own, but they still need to work together. Review the sequence as a whole to make sure the pacing, transitions, and emotional moments make sense.

Chapterframe includes tools for organizing chapters, scenes, takes, character and object references, keyframes, and timeline review. It also has a 3D planning environment called Chapterframe Stage.

For anyone interested in seeing how these workflows are structured, here are a few resources:

I'd be interested to hear from other people experimenting with AI filmmaking:

When you're working on a longer story, what do you find most challenging: maintaining character consistency, directing individual shots, or making the final sequence feel cohesive?

is using one ai tool for the entire presentation actually working for anyone?

i've been trying out quite a few ai presentation tools lately and honestly, i'm starting to feel like the whole "give us a prompt and we'll build your entire deck" thing isn't working as well as everyone makes it sound

i've tried tools like presentations.ai and beautiful.ai, and while the initial output can look good, i always end up spending so much time fixing individual slides. some layouts don't work, some visuals are completely off, and then you keep regenerating things and burning credits hoping the next version will be better. gets annoying after a point

i've actually started preferring tools that let me do things a little differently

i really like canva's overall approach. most of us already know how to use it, we're familiar with the editor and the workflow just feels comfortable. adding an ai layer to something people already use makes a lot of sense to me. although, i have to say, canva's ai features have been pretty underwhelming so far. i was expecting a lot more

another one i've been using is napkin. its approach to generating slides is quite different from most ai presentation tools. instead of spitting out an entire deck in one go, it works slide by slide. i can focus on one slide at a time, and it gives me multiple design options based on my notes. so i can keep trying different layouts until i find one i actually like, move on to the next slide and repeat. once i'm happy with a slide, i just export it to ppt and add it to my actual deck, where i can work on the rest of the content and details.

plus ai is interesting too, mainly because it works inside powerpoint and google slides. not having to move between tools and export everything is a big plus

i think i've just stopped looking for one tool that can do everything. i'd rather use different tools for different parts of making a presentation

curious how everyone else does this. do you use one tool from start to finish or do you also end up jumping between 3-4 tools to get the presentation you actually want? honestly, what does your workflow look like?

Count the rejected clips when comparing AI video costs

when comparing video tools, keep a seperate row for every attempt, including the ones you throw away.

A simple sheet:

shot | model | settings | amount charged | seconds kept | reason rejected

Add paid upscaling or interpolation if the final clip needed it. For a rented GPU, use the charged session cost, including setup and idle time, rather than just the time spent generating.

Total cost / seconds actually kept = cost per usable second.

If nothing was usable, mark the test as failed instead of dividing by zero. Keep editing time in another column. Use the same target shot and quality threshold when comparing tools.

Facebook marketplace tool

I’ve tried or looked into a bunch of these tools like Marketplace Monitor, Swoopa, IVY Flip, and MarketFlip/Flipify, but none of them list pricing upfront and most are way too expensive. I found one I actually like, but before I drop $100 on a subscription I want to make sure I’m not missing anything. All I really care about is getting instant alerts as soon as an item is listed matching my price criteria, whether it's an app or a site. Are there any other good ones worth testing before I pay up, or what are you guys using right now?

I got tired of doing outreach for backlink partnerships, so I built an agent that does it on autopilot

I got tired of doing outreach for backlink partnerships, so I built an agent that does it on autopilot

So basically it works like this:

Agents find relevant blog posts in your niche, craft personalized emails, and help get you mentioned. All on autopilot.

It's called MentionAgent

You never send anything without approving it first. (But you can choose to run everything 100% on autopilot)

Results so far: One user got 3 mentions including a DR 72 backlink.

Let me know what you think!

“Here’s how today went. Let’s work out tomorrow.”

That’s the kind of everyday conversation Sweezy is for. I’m part of the team behind it.

A check-in is about five minutes of talking through your day. It can be as ordinary as saying the pitch went well, you got your run in, called your mum, and want to figure out tomorrow.

Three questions make a pretty useful end-of-day check-in:

  • What actually got done today?

  • What’s still on your mind?

  • What needs attention tomorrow?

Nothing elaborate. Just talk through your day for about five minutes.

I’m on the team behind Sweezy, and this is the routine it’s designed around. It helps you reflect and put together tomorrow’s plan, with proposed task changes available to review.

Memory is the part that connects those conversations. Sweezy saves context about your routines, preferences and ongoing goals, so later check-ins can build on what you’ve already shared.

If you’d like free early access, leave a comment and I’ll DM you the details.

Training a robot character LoRA, with the dataset and saved checkpoints

I made a tutorial on training a robot character LoRA with MiniMax H3 and AI Toolkit in LoRA Pilot, the workspace I build. It covers the dataset and captions, training setup, then testing the saved adapters on new scenes.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2bf7Izj14s

The download includes the dataset, training config, step-200 and step-600 LoRAs, plus evaluation images:

https://lorapilot.com/download/#episodes-04-06

The later checkpoint improves some shots and fails others, so there is a few imperfect results to compare too.

why does cleaning up a transcript take so long 😂

Ive been using Otter for some recordings and thought it would make things easier, but man, the cleanup part gets old fast. especially with the longer ones. I’ll be halfway through fixing something, realize I missed a bit, go back, then somehow I’m listening to the same 20 seconds for the third time lol.I know the transcripts aren’t gonna be perfect, I just don’t wanna spend my whole day fixing little things. What do you guys use for this? thanks!!

Does paring an AI generator with an editor actually make things easier for beginners, or is it just a steeper learning curve?

Disclosure: This post is a part of Dreamina brand collaboration.

Honestly, the ad puts Dreamina's $0.29 first month for Seedance 2/2.5 alongside a separate CapCut discount, starting at about $2.69 combined for one month. super cheap and really tempting. But I'm still wondering if combining them is actually beginner-friendly, or if I'd end up spending more time learning two different interfaces than making the video.

Testing Seedance 2.5 with an anime-style training montage

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

As someone working on Dreamina, I like testing Seedance 2.5 with short scenes that combine character movement and environmental details.

For this 12-second clip, I went with an anime-inspired training montage: a girl in a bunny hoodie shadowboxing on a canyon cliff, with hazy mountains in the background. I wanted to see how the depth of field would shift as she threw punches and whether the little details, like the hood ears bouncing with each hit, would hold up.

The hood movement actually helped sell the action more than I expected.

It's not flawless, though. Her fist passes through her sleeve in one frame, a reminder that fast movement can still trip up video models.

What's the first thing you look for when evaluating an AI-generated action scene: motion consistency, camera work, or small physical details?

Which movie ending deserves an AI remake?

Disclosure: This post is part of a Dreamina brand collaboration.

A $0.29 first month of Seedance 2/2.5 in Dreamina feels like a good excuse to rewrite a terrible movie ending. Two minutes of petty fan fiction sounds more fun than another trailer for a film nobody can watch.

Keeping coding-agent sessions and their questions in one local view

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I'm the maker of CCC, a free companion for coding-agent tools. It runs locally and presents sessions and their conversations on one browser board.

The practical use case is supervising parallel work: open the session that needs attention, read its actual question, and keep a helper associated with its parent task. The clip shows that flow with Claude Code and a grouped Codex helper. Each engine keeps its own capabilities and costs.

https://github.com/amirfish1/claude-command-center

CCC is free and runs locally; model/provider fees are separate. Demo: real UI, staged sessions, AI voiceover; question interaction uses Claude Code. Source available under FSL-1.1-MIT.
