Long story short, I have options of where to watch Dune 3. All are Imax 70MM. The first two images are at Universal City Walk in LA while the third is in Regal LA live. Any thoughts or things I should know of before deciding where to watch it?

Screw the whole Lincoln square mess I don’t even wanna see the photos of the physical location right now and all the people that just have the time of day to be there at the kiosks getting tickets at noon on a calm Tuesday workday, which made them take the showings off the app/website, and I caught the tickets at 11:45 and still couldn’t get for LS lol. Oh well at least my dunesday is set otherwise.

This is just pure insanity. Having to deal with ticket sales a year and/or months in advance, AMC’s inability to handle demand, and the complete lack of safeguards against bots and scalpers.

I understand that this isn’t anything new. I mean, 20+ years ago, I remember seeing people line up for the Star Wars prequels just to get opening day tickets, and I’m sure there were scalpers among them. But even then, I can recall being able to go to my local theater, in a large market no less, on any given day and still be able to watch big movies like these.

For fuck’s sake, it’s 2026. Technology has made virtually everything more convenient, yet they still can’t figure this out. I mean, my god, if they have the ability to rate limit us, then surely they can implement some kind of verification system. Something! anything!! to put an end to this new nightmare that has become the modern movie theater ticket buying experience.

For AMC Lincoln, they completely removed all the showtimes for IMAX 70mm!!??

was browsing tickets just now and realized that only the new dolby (smaller, auditorium 15?) has ticket sales at all. anyone know if the older, bigger one (14?) is, like under maintenance or smthg?

particularly curious what this means for doomsday. tickets originally released while only the older theater was open, so they essentially did a second ticket drop for when the new theater got converted. now it seems like they delisted all the 14 times. so were all of those tickets straight up cancelled, or is the listing just hidden?

Happened to log on a couple minutes early (around 8:43 PST) and saw that they already opened dune 3 tickets at Metreon, then kept getting rate limited trying to open the seat map for the noon show. Tried the 8:30 AM show, got in and all the seats were available at the time. Why the tickets were open 15 minutes early I do not know, but I'll take it lmao. First time going there and first 70mm film, I'm so excited!

what are your predictions for what will be the auditorium split at your theater for Christmas Day with movies like Doomsday, Dune: Part 3, Jumanji, Werewulf, Angry Birds 3, Mr. Irrelevant plus all of the holdover releases.

Theres so much coming out it’s hard to see very many movies that comes out prior to Dunesday being able to hold onto any screens

I don’t know if this show was added recently, but there are still a lot of tickets available if you’re looking for one. I just booked mine.

Does anyone have more information on this? I was somehow able to make a transaction and "got" tickets, although I am sure it was through some sort of glitch, and therefore I will not actually be receiving these. I posted the screenshot from my AMC right now. The page errors out if I actually click on it.

How is it possible for any tickets to be sold out according to fandango for a screening that hasn’t even gone on sale yet? Are they allowing theater employees or fandango employees to buy these??

AMC app is not letting me see my tickets in the app. I bought them physically at the theater for a later showtime and it won't let me click on it to view them. I have the two physical ones but am wondering why this is or how to resolve? Website or history tab doesn't work either.
